Introduction She twirled in fluid turns across the dance floor, her elegant black and purple laced gown flowing about her lean, lightly muscled form. Her full, light violet hair swirled around her face and body, caught in the motion of the air around her as she rapidly spun. Her arms slowly rose in unison to estend above her head. It was ballet in part, but in whole it was beautiful and a testament to her agility. Mesmerized, the crowd watched as her every move out showed the dancers surrounding her. Women found themselves full of envy concerning her talents, men full of desire to experience them on another level. It was no question, she was the Lady of the House of Violet.

Background/History After years of warring nation states, the ruthless leader, now the King of this 'great' land, has taken a firm grip of the realm of Furia. The system is built on two primary sects directly under the King's command which compose his armies, one magic based, the other based in armed combat. Also beneath the king are the Lords and Ladies, who have their own personal armies that serve the King in times of need. The structure of this Feudal society is as follows:

The King is, naturally the wealthiest. The five Warlords and Farseers who compose the council that guides him and serves to lead his armies as generals are also extremely well off, enjoying lives of indulgence in the decadent. The House of Battle, House of Magi, and Lords and Ladies are also experiencing lives full of wealth and indulgence, but the majority of the population lives in poverty, suffering under the slave-like system imposed by the Kings harsh structure. They are considered to be and treated as sub-human filth. Naturally, this has created great dissent amongst the majority of the King's subjects, but those in the two Houses dedicated to serving the King and those in the direct service of the Lords and Ladies are too well trained, well learned, well armed and generally too powerful for a successful force to arise and put up any sort of a formidable resistance. Many have tried, and all of them have died. This, however, is the story of the House of Violet, and the sole Lady of the house, Lypse Violet. One year ago, her mother, the former Lady of the House had died of an unknown and incurable illness, one which sent the Lord of the House of Violet into a deep depression that led to his suicide. Leaving their nineteen year-old daughter to care for the house on her own, she quickly applied her talents to teach her Handmaids the arts and various talents relating to entertainment. This transformed the House of Violet into a hot-spot for all of the upper class, from the nation's Veteran, Seers, Lords and Ladies to foreign ambassadors and those of the upper class in outside nations. Due to the wealth and good impression of the Kingdom brought in by the House of Violet, the King has refrained from simply assigning a Lord to overtake command of the House of Violet, and has given its Lady a full year to find a suitable mate. This is the tale of Lypse Violet and those who have come to view the wonders of her House. This is a story of love and romance, tragedy and secrecy, this is a story of fantasy intermingled with the sadistic maneuvers of reality. This is the story of the House of Violet.

I failed to name the King because I wish for someone to take up the reigns and rp as him, if you feel you're up to the job, please do inform me of such by putting 'King' before the character name.
Available races are all and any relating to fantasy worlds, but I must worn you that Furia's occupants are primarily human, if you're another race, you may want to set yourself as either a foreigner or a member of the House of Magi.
Title the PM 'House of Violet', and await my reply before posting.

Character Listing
Username: Bubblegum Apocalypse Character Name: Lypse Violet Age: 19 Race: Human Occupation/Class: Lady of the House of Violet Foreigner or Furian: Furian Personality: Stubborn, strong-willed, charming, resilient, intelligent. Lady Violet is many things, if you truly wish to get to know her, the best thing to do is to approach her in person. Brief Biography: Raised within her House by her loving, feminist mother and sexually abusive father, she was raised with a sense of propriety and knowledge of Furian literature and the arts, as a proper Lady should be. Lypse was 'kidnapped' for three years at the age of ten, during which time she traveled with merchants to the Orient and Indosphere, where she was educated in the ways of martial arts and their various forms of foreign literature, arts and culture. Upon her return, she dabbled in secret in the art of necromancy, a talent which came in handy upon her mother's death. None of these facts are known to any Furian beyond her mother, who's lips are sealed by her death. Appearance: Long, flowing light violet hair curls about her face and flows about her form. Her dark pink eyes combined with the color of her hair make her an exotic specimen, and both traits are completely unique to her family line, proving that she is indeed of the House of Violet. She is slightly muscled with a fair-sized bust, large enough to suit a man's needs while small enough to keep from being in her way. Her skin tone is extremely pale. See avatar. Apparel: She usually wears elegant gowns, dresses, corsets, skirts, blouses, etcetera. Most of them are in shades either imitating or complimenting that of her hair or eyes. Items/Weapons: She is skilled in most of the martial arts of the Indosphere and the Orient, but prefers her Katars, Slithe and Livy, over her other weapons, of which she possesses so many that her House has an entire locked room dedicated to them. Brief Biography: After having heard of the great exploits of the ruthless King, Siraphim traveled from his home in the frozen wastelands to the north of the Orient. The handmaid's of Lady Violet had picked their partners and were dancing gracefully upon the ballroom floor. Behind it lay a stage upon which various instrumentalists played newly-written up-beat music to suit the cheerful mood of the palace. Lady Violet was known for encouraging the musicians that traveled to her mansion to explore new songs and ideas which had never before been expanded upon or, in some cases, heard. Influences from around the world were heard every night. Whether it be the percussion-based dance music from the South, the peaceful harmonies of the East, the harsh marches from the North, the elegant sonatas and adagios of the Western Furian homelands, or music that might not even contain a hint of any of those listed above, there was always music to be heard at the House of Violet. The many Lords and Ladies that had come joined the handmaids and their partners upon the stage after having watched their movements long enough to imitate them in this new style. Cheerful laughter and the clanking of wine glasses filled the air as all enjoyed the great hospitality of Furia's most-renowned hostess. Surrounding the massive dance floor were an army of dining tables for those who had come to enjoy the atmosphere, directly to the right and the left of these tables (as one would see it facing the dance floor) were private rooms for rich guests present to enjoy the mood without participating. At the end opposite the dance floor, a corridor ran from the right to the left of the room, the left end leading to the grand door through which all passed to enter the great house, the right end leading to smaller, more relaxed rooms. These included, but were not limited to, a smoke room, a room for higher class and less energetic dining, the servant's kitchens and a great glass door leading out into the massive garden. Lady Violet herself was on the stage taking the place of the lead flutist in this eccentric music. Her fingers slid speedily yet gracefully along the holes of the instrument as her eyes rapidly scanned the pages of the piece which she'd never before encountered. Her dark pink eyes gleamed with the excitement flowing inside of her as she took on the challenge of sight-reading such a difficult piece in a setting where mistakes were unacceptable, a test which she seemed to be effortlessly passing as air flowed brokenly between her pursed but slightly open lips. At the song's end, Lypse rose to an applause from the dancers. She bowed gracefully before returning the flute to its smiling owner who congratulated her on her excellent performance. Smiling, she thanked him for his congratulation and began to move through the crowd, drawing the gazes of the many people filling the room before the performers started up another tune, and the dancing resumed.

From one of the tables a man rose, pardoning himself from the group of people he'd seemed to be chatting with. The topic was irrelevant. He turned to Lady Violet and approached her, carrying himself with an air of confidence, but simultaneously being humble. When he reached her, he bowed before speaking. "Lady Violet, I am sorry to bother you, you must have many lined up awaiting your company, but I am here as a representative of one who must avoid such social scenes who wishes for your audience." He smiled and bowed, stretching his arms out towards the corridor, "If you would but accompany to the garden, I am certain that the man I represent would be grateful."

Lypse curtsied in return to the man as he greeted her, then considered him with a smile upon her face and curiosity in her eyes as he spoke. When he bowed and directed her towards the corridor leading to the garden, she spoke. "I would be glad to provide my company for any who wish it. Though your decision not to reveal his name brings the slightest degree of suspicion to my mind, I will not allow this to lead me away from meeting your master." She tilted her head slightly as she looked him in the eye, "You need not remain in such a position, it would be hard for me to find this man who wishes for my company without a guide."

The man looked up into her eyes, noticing that they were upon his, and blushed under her gaze. Almost seeming to falter, he rose from his position. "I understand completely, Lady Violet. Please, follow me." He turned and began walking towards the corridor. Heading down its intricately designed halls, with doors to the left leading to the various rooms of entertainment, he eventually stopped and turned to the right. Before him was a vast and thick glass wall with an open view of the garden. He opened the left door and stepped out, holding it for the lady to pass through. Once she had, he offered her a smile before closing the door behind them and heading down the steps. Out from the shadows of a large hedge slithered the tall and powerful form of Siraphim. Smiling kindly he looked down at Lady Violet. "Welcome, my lady. My name is Siraphim the Seer, it is an honor to make your acquaintance."

Lypse smiled warmly at the man as he held open the door for her and she strode through it. The sound of flowing water from the various fountains throughout the garden accompanied the noise of chirping crickets and hooting owls. The scene was beautiful under the partially lit moon and glowing stars which dotted the sky. She followed him along the trail until the serpent-like creature crept out of the shadows. She turned her head and examined him, curious. Despite all of the guests that had come to Lady Violet's house, she had never before encountered Malventors. For all she'd known, they might have been nothing more than another myth; but now she knew that they existed without a doubt, for one stood directly before her in its majestic yet morbid glory. Smiling she curtsied before the being, then looked him in the eyes as he introduced himself. "I am, as you likely know, Lypse Violet, Lady of the House of Violet. It as an equal honor for me to meet one of your stature." She tilted her head as she considered him, though not without consideration of propriety. "It is not usual for a seer, especially one of your breed, to venture to my gardens. Though I have had many come to enjoy the festivities in momentary release from their vigorous studying and watching over the land. Might I ask what brings you here, Seer Siraphim?"

The seer smiled, already impressed by the way in which she respond to his form. Her sense of respect and propriety over reacting to his 'repulsiveness' as most humans saw it made a good first impression. She spoke as an educated lady should, and not a sign of arrogance or haughtiness was present in her demeanor. "In my homeland, only the toughest of plants survive the harsh winters. It is quite an experience to be among such a diversity of living things; whether it be the insects buzzing about the many gorgeous flowers of this garden or the very plants themselves." He paused, taking a look around him and once again soaking in the incredible atmosphere, "The sound of flowing water gives me a sense of nostalgia for the spring of my homeland, when all the snow melts and flows through the crevices of our land like blood through its veins; feeding the very earth itself. Not to mention those strange golden fish in your ponds, wherever did they come from?"

Lypse could not help the wide and appreciative smile that spread forth from her lips as Siraphim spoke of his admiration of the garden. For one from a species known for their specialties in necromancy and sorcery he seemed to have a great interest in life, and his ability to appreciate the garden, by far one of her favorite areas of her house, had earned him her gratitude. Few truly enjoyed and analyzed it to the degree which he appeared to. "I thank you for your many compliments on this garden, my servants put much time into its completion as it is a relatively new addition to my house. As for the fish, they are from the Far East and are known as coy fish." She took a few steps forward, "Please, do walk with me and inform me as to what it is that you wish of me which inspired you to draw me into your admirable company."

Siraphim nodded his head as Lypse had finished explaining the how recently the garden had been added to her house, as well as the origin of the fish which occupied many of the ponds within it. "I had heard rumored that you were knowledgeable concerning many of the foreign lands, do you speak any of their native tongues? Perhaps you might know my own? I speak the traditional language that dominates the Northern lands." As she inquired as to request for her company, the malventor spread his arms open and replied, "I merely wished to make your acquaintance, fair lady, and congratulate you on the beauty of the life you have maintained in spite of the recent deaths in your family, for which I also wished to offer my condolences. If you ever wish to commune with their spirits, I would be glad to call upon them for you."
