Wetting her chin and taking some of the cool water into her mouth, the new leader of the Riverbend herd was dealing with the broken rib the best she could. Well it wasn't like half of it was floating inside her body jabbing at the insides, it was fractured though.
Dropping the water onto her side Yoko couldn't help but think of going an killing the stallion that had bested her in the battle. How did she win the title of the leader? Maybe it was cause of her damned stubborn side, or that demonic temper. Coming back home was the best thing she had descided to do in her life time, especially after the wretch of a mother had chased her off right after weening, well really right after her fangs were exposed.
The bite on her rump was healing just fine, hey maybe if she was lucky it could be the first of the battle scars she should be sporting. Then again, her pelt was just fine any way it settled.
The souless dark eyes moved to peer up at the starry night sky, the herd was mainly sleeping around the bend, but she wasn't a fool and knew that there were those that were up as well. Orange tail scooted across the sandy stones next to the steam and her mane just tossed over to the other side with the wind. This was the calmest and most peaceful that the mare would ever appear, cause regretably, not in her book, she was always bare fanges then ask questions.
But alas, the mare could hear the sounds of those slumbering and the sounds of the night air just fine, living on one's own since being a foal was good for something. Or maybe it was just the fact she could track things down like a wolf, especially if it was bleeding.
