The goddess of impatience was in a bad mood. Not that the day hadn't started out well enough, what better way to start than by tormenting your polar opposite twin brother? Or at least that's what she thought, unfortunately for her, her father had not shared in the sentiment. "What about balance in all things?" She had been rather proud of that smart a** reply, speaking it with a little smirk. But he had told her she was disrupting his balance by not letting him sleep and giving her mother a headache.
The little goddess huffed, wings ruffling against her back. Even though he wasn't there, she stuck her tongue at her brother, hah! She had wings and he didn't, she could fly, so there. A little smirk on her maw, shoulders back, she strutted a few steps in that knowledge.
But her mood quickly soured again, for it didn't solve the problem at hand. She was a cub, she was bored, and she wanted to play, now. She was not patient, that was her brother, she wanted what she wanted and she wanted it right now. But who else was there to torment besides her brother? How irritating.

Unfortunately for Maisha, -she- just happened to be another creature to torment, especially after a confusing night with her leopard friend, Chui. Normally quite cooperative and eager to play, today she was just feeling guilty and somehow ashamed. What would mother say, and why hadn't she managed to find her yet? She desperately needed to talk to her, to hear some kind words of reassurance that she wasn't losing her mind.
The gray and pink striped female came across the goddess quite by mistake, and in fact hadn't even noticed her yet, too busy pausing every so often to look for her mother's distinct scent, or sight of the gray fur with black stripes.
"Mom...?"

It was perhaps not surprising that the goddess had not been seen at first, small as she was, her hide in simple natural colors, surely she must have blended in against the land, even if she did have wings that should have made her stand out like the full moon on a dark night.
Ears flicked, she had heard something, what was it? She looked up from the stone she had just kicked, easily spotting the oddly colored cat. Ah-ha! Someone to play with, or at least she hoped so, it had better play with her.
Turning, the goddess cub took a bound, approaching with no reservation, no concern that she did not know this creature, a lack of fear that was bound to get her into trouble someday. Blue eyes looking up, taking in the pink on gray coloring, she circled one way, then the other, sizing up the creature, then finally settling to stand in front of her as if to say 'you'll do'.
"Hello, you'll play a game with me won't you?"
She spoke with a smile, trying to look as innocent as she could, paws seeming perpetually in motion. She was not a cruel goddess, nor was she mean-spirited, she was simply impatient, a brat, and heaven help the poor soul that did not give her what she wanted.

"Oh!"
Maisha stopped abruptly and stared, eyes glued quite effectively to the young godling that had started a double-backed semi-circle around her. Her first encounter with a lion cub and... well, no, she wasn't even sure if that's what the little winged female was! She'd heard plenty of stories from mom though so she had an idea, but to think she was meeting one now....?
"Well... I.... yes I could...? A..... Are you a goddess....?" Was all she could manage in response, eyes still wide with surprise and awe. Thoughts of Chui were momentarily on the back burner, her surprise probably the only thing keeping her from saying something else very stupid: "no".

"Good I--"
She paused in her words, tail flicking with a touch of irritation. What kind of question was that? Of course she was a goddess, she had wings didn't she? Why else would she have wings? She wanted to play, not answer a bunch of questions.
"Of course I am, what else would I be? Now, let's play, I'll go hide and you can find me."
She did not give a moment for the cheetah to answer. No more questions, it was time to play. There was no time to refuse or comply, she had already bounded several steps away, searching for a place to hide, already certain that the cheetah would join in her game.
"And no peeking!"

"I...!" But the goddess was already bounding off, and now Maisha was getting a sinking feeling in her heart. Looking worried, which was a look the cheetah had not yet had before today, she could only watch the unnamed cub bound away a few feet. No rules stated, no way for Maisha to know if there were any special conditions, or if there was something particular that she had to do when she found the goddess. They'd played many alterations of Hide and Seek, she and her siblings, which one were they playing today...? "Ok..."
A bit unsure, she turned her back and sat down, covering her eyes with one fore paw.
"Do I have to count?"

Paws skidded to a halt, turning to gaze at the cheetah with annoyance in blue eyes, the same eyes that may have shone kindness were she her brother. More questions? She didn't want questions, this was about play, play, play, PLAY! No more questions!
"Don't you know how to play hide and seek? Count to twenty, then try to find me."
Huff! Now that that was settled, she bounded again to hide, the momentary annoyance lost once more in cubbish energy. Eyes darted left, then right, gaze falling on a rather tall patch of brownish grass, ah-hah, perfect! Wings folded against her back, the little goddess stalked toward her chosen shelter, settling within the grass as quietly as such an impatient child could.
She was ready, now she only had to wait for her playmate to find her. Unfortunately, waiting was not something she was good at.

Despite the fact that the goddess was just a cub, it seemed, Maisha felt quite stupid with that answer given so curtly. Nevermind that there -were- multiple versions of the game, she felt she should've known.
It was a relief when the game continued, and albeit a bit distractedly Maisha did begin to count to twenty. As she reached the double digits her thoughts went back to Chui again. Maybe she should have just gone home, then she wouldn't be so confused and she certainly wouldn't feel stupid and ashamed right now.
At twenty, a bit distracted still, Maisha began to glance around in search of her "Playmate".
The search wouldn't have taken long, but Maisha, thinking that it'd not be much fun for the child to be found right away, opted to draw it out just a little bit for fun's sake.
"Now where did she get off to...?" She pondered loud enough to be heard.

Tail twitching in the grass, the little cub stifled a giggle, peering from the tall grass to locate the seeker, watching a moment before ducking down again, hidden with her her fortress. Mora was a child in every sense of the word, playful, adventurous, demanding, and bratty.
There is no telling how much time had passed, seconds or minutes, it didn't matter, either way, it was too long for the goddess of impatience. Her paws fidgeted in the grass, an impatient flick in her tail. The was taking too long, and she was quickly growing bored. What was taking so long anyways?
"You're not finding me fast enough."
Despite the trace of annoyance in her voice, it was hardly a reprimand, simply the words of a spoiled child who had grown bored with a new toy or game. Her paw tapped, poking at a blade of grass, boring, she didn't like this game anymore.

The timing of those words couldn't have been worse, you see, it was right about now that Maisha began to recall some of the downsides of mother's stories about gods and temperamental goddesses. Stories of mortals turned into other things, losing speech, sight, sometimes smell, or being turned to stone; Stories of entire prides being swept away in an immortal fit of rage, horrifying things like that.
Swallowing a sudden nervous lump in her throat, Maisha's own vivid blue eyes shot towards the grass, which she picked her way to a bit quickly now. Sticking her head in she was a bit unsure of what she'd find but hoped it was nothing she'd regret sticking her head in on, like an angry godling.
"I'm sorry, you're just too good at this game for me! Um... do you mind if I ask your name so that I know what to call you...? Mine is Maisha..."
This was making her much more nervous and unsure than she'd ever been before around strangers, but she was not about to willingly make one wrong move.

The goddess looked up, peering at the cheetah with indignation in the scowl that touched her maw, tail tip twitching as if to say 'it's about time.' Name? Well she supposed it wouldn't hurt to tell her name, she hadn't really thought about it before, hadn't been bothered that she didn't know the name of her chosen playmate, the game had been more important.
"Moraith. I want to play a different game now."
A bounce on her paws, she wanted to play something that wasn't so boring, something that didn't involve her sitting in the grass waiting around to be found. Maybe they could play tag, or maybe something else.
"Don't you know any games?"

Maisha repressed the urge to wince as the goddess looked displeased, but what else could she do? It seemed like nothing she did was going to be good enough to please the little one.
When the chance presented itself Maisha decided it was now or never to make a good impression. Giving it a moment, her eyes drifted skyward.
"Hmm..."
A game, what of those games that she'd played with her siblings could she play with the goddess? Tag wouldn't be all that fair since she was so much older, Moraith might have trouble keeping up, she didn't know if she could fly with those wings. Freeze tag was out of the question since Moraith would probably get tired of being frozen and with only two people it was no good anyway. Hide and Go Seek was out... Oh dear...
"Well...."

It wasn't that the goddess was particularly hard to please, in fact the task was often far to easy for she would have likely followed anyone willing to give her what she wanted. The trouble was, figuring out just what she wanted.
"You don't? Why not?"
Her voice rose as she spoke, disappointed that the cheetah had no suggestions. What kind of creature didn't know how to play? Wings ruffled, her mood was rapidly deteriorating, growing more annoyed by the moment. She just wanted to have fun, why wasn't she having fun?
"Well think of something, I want to play."
This was intolerable. First her father had denied her the fun of tormenting her brother, it was always entertaining when they bickered, especially because she could usually win. But now she was also denied her games with this cheetah. She wanted to play, now, now, -now-.
Always an impatient brat by nature, she was goddess of impatience after all, it seemed she had been caught on a bad day. At another time she may have simply pouted, snorting while kicking a rock, but today, she was growing angry, demanding. It seemed her bad mood from that morning had not been lost, she did not like this day.

"I'm sorry, I really am trying! Um... what about 'I spy'?"
A guessing game, should be easy enough, but would the young goddess accept that or would she find it too boring?
"It's just been so long since I played with someone your age, I just want to be fair." She tried to explain, her nervousness only growing to get the better of her as she noticed the godling's quickly deteriorating mood. Goodness, why did she make that wish? Maybe it was because she'd made it out loud, and this was the punishment for it? Something was definitely happening alright but it was far from good right now.

"Well try harder! I don't like that game, it's boring!"
The little goddess bounced on her paws, tail lashing impatiently. Play, play, play, she wanted to play NOW! She just wanted to have fun, why was that so much to ask? Surely she was entitled!
And then it started, the tantrums of an unhappy child. Looking up, a frown on her maw, eyes clouded, it seemed she was about to cry, or perhaps more likely to scream. It was the look that all children give when they don't get what they want, a look as if to search for sympathy a moment before throwing themselves on the floor to scream and hold their breath until their parents give in.
Angry, disappointed, selfish, it all boiled in the fury of her domain. Now, now, now, she wanted what she wanted right NOW. Wings ruffled, burning with energy, an energy she did not yet understand, a terrible thunderous, uncontrollable energy.
"I want to play a game!"
CRACK!
"What--"
There was no need to ask the question, for it had already been done. The energy had thundered around her, building as a storm, radiating from her small form, electrifying the air around her. Words bursting from her jaws, it had reached its peek, striking the cheetah in a blinding flash, only to fade into nothingness a moment later.
What had she just done? She didn't know she could do that.
