Ayidan wandered along the river bank, quiet as usual, looking at the water as it flows. His short tail flickered as he moved, and then he pauses, and kneels, wanting to take a sip. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was out, and it was just the RIGHT amount of shade along the river, so he was warm but not hot. The trees were in full summer green, and it just... Yeah. He was in a good mood. He opens his mouth, and begins to drink.

A dark shadow passed over the stallion as he drank. Above him an Angeni flew, circling as he lowered himself to the ground. There was a scowl on his face, someone was in his favorite drinking spot and he was hell bent on finding out who.
Landing gracefully, he moved towards the black and white stallion. "Who are you and why are you here?" He was never the one for pleasantries.

Ayidan half chokes, and attempts to jump back, which was rather awkward in his kneeling state. He ends up sprawled on his side, with a painful sounding WHUMP, and he stares up at the impressive stallion... Mortified AND terrified. "I... I... I... I'm A... A... Ayidan! I... I... l...l...l...l...live nuh...nuh...not fuh...fuh...far from huh..here! I wa...was ta...ta...taking a wa...wa...walk and ne...ne...needed a drink!" He looked utterly panicked, largely because he WAS, and unsure what to do.

Auster raised an eyebrow as the other stallion spoke. His panicked expression and the stuttered way he talked amused the larger stallion. Looking perfectly relaxed, and yet at the same time, very imposing, he tilted his head at Ayidan, his long tail swaying with the small breeze.
"Well, is that so A-A-Ayidan. I hope you found my drinking place acceptable."

Ayidan blinked a little and tried to get out of the sprawl he was in. It was... not easy, he discovered, but after a bit of struggle, he managed to get onto his feet. He was blushing some under his coat, for his ungainly tripping. "I...i...it is nu...nu...nice. A qu...qu...quiet sp...spot, so it's le...le...less dif...diffi...difficult to get a dr...dr...drink." He frowned a little as his brain processed the word 'my' but he shrugged it off, and his expression relaxed again. "I pr...pr...prefer the sh...sh...shallow, sl...slow pa...pa...parts for dri...dri...drinking from."

"Mhmm.. So it is. That's why I drink here, after all." His gaze went past the other stallion and he looked down the river, though at what it was not said. After a moment, he turned back to Ayidan, settling his wings on his back with a rustle.

Ayidan blinked a little at the other. "Th...th...that make su...su...sense to me..." He looked across the river, confused, then back at the other Stallion. "I tuh...tuh...told you mah...my na...na...name... Mi....mi...might I bu...bu...be in...in...informed of yuh...yuh...yours?"

Hm. It wouldn't hurt to tell him. "I am called Auster," he said as he looked down his nose at the other stallion.

"I...i...it's Nuh...nuh...nice to muh...muh...meet you, A...au...Auster." He nodded, and blushed at his stutter again, wishing it to hell and back.

"I suppose it's nice to meet you as well, Ayidan," he said in a manner that made it painfully clear he really didn't think so. To be honest, he didn't really care one way or another.

Ayidan pondered the other, finally saying "Ho...honesty of...often is be...best. Y...you don't like m...me mu...mu...much, d...d...do y...y... you?"

Auster gave him an amused look. This stuttering groundwalker was mildly amusing at least.
"To be honest? I'm not particularly fond of anyone. Especially not anyone without wings."

Ayidan sighs softly. "Ah. I s...see." He ponders the other, then finally said "Wh...why ar...are w...wing so... sp...sp...special?"

Auster laughed. "Do you really need to ask that question? You must be slow." He paused, studying Ayidan with that same amused look. "Just take a look at yourself, then at me. I can fly over the mountain tops. You're stuck on the ground. Winged horses are far more superior to ground horses."

Ayidan glared at him, and snapped out, as best he could "Ju...just because yo...you can fly do...doesn't make you superior! You all came from us, and you'll be dust JUST like us when you die. Ya...you're just a bigot!" He'd never gotten this mad before, and was surprised by it, but stood his ground, snorting.
