Summer. Auster hated that season. It was almost as bad as spring. The only good side about summer was that the flowers were already in full bloom. As much as he hated to look at them, it wasn't as bad as watching them bloom. Summer was also too warm, but his forest provided shade from that. He could deal with warmth. And he could deal with the flowers as long as he could stomp them.
And that was exactly what he was doing. Standing on the edge of the forest, he was pulling the blossoms off the tree there. Damn thing, it was so offensive and so white. He'd strip it bare, then walk over the petals. Our stallion was not in a good mood today.
With a loud scraping noise that would break the hearts of any nature lovers, he stripped one limb, than another and another, a nasty expression on his face. He didn't even know what had made him so angry, but he'd be damned if he let the unreasonableness of it stop him.

Tuli made her way through the forest. She had been visiting her family and had decided to take a walk. She wasn't really paying attention to what was going on around her, her mind filled wtih thoughts of her brothers.
Her long hair almost drug the ground as she moved on, the feathers dangling from her ear twisting and turning as the summer breeze moved past.
It was impossible. Her brothers tell her to get out, make friends, socialize. Tuli had tried, and failed. Hell, both of her brothers had found mates already. Tuli....all Tuli had was...no one.
She snorted and continued walking, her ears flickered as she heard a strange sound. Limbs cracking. She stopped and peered out into the forest...whatever it was, it sounded large and slightly pissed off.

The angry stallion that was hell-bent on destroying that tree had no one either, not even siblings. He didn't care though, he liked being alone. He didn't have to worry about any one other than himself, only had to please himself. And this destruction of the tree was doing a good job of that.
Panting slightly, he stood back and looked at the tree. His furious attack had also stripped it of leaves and had broken many branches, but he didn't care. The flowers were gone, and the tree was bare. He had accomplished what he had wanted.
An odd smile on his face, Auster started to walk on the petals at his feet, digging his hooves into the ground in a further attempt to rip them. If he knew there was someone approaching, he paid them no mind.

Tuli hadn't seen the stallion at first, she was trying her best to quietly and quickly move around the noise maker. She just knew it was a kalona...only kalonas or skinwalkers could sound that chaotic.
Tuli tucked her wings into her small frame, moving quickly through the trees. As she passed, she briefly saw the sillouette of a large black stallion. He didnt' look kalona or skinwalker though.
Curiousity, Tuli's downfall. She stopped, hopeing she was covered enough by the trees and underbrush that lay between her and the unfamiliar soquili. What has him so angry? she wondered to herself as she watching him stomp on the petals at his feet.
She shifted her weight, tryin to get a better view. His wings...Did he have four? Just a little closer... she thought, taking a few steps forward.
*CRACK!*
Tuli cringed and lowered her body and head as quickly as she could. She had stepped on a rigid branch of some sort that had cracked beneath her hoof. Great...

He was quite the opposite of a skinwalker and a kalona, actually, but something long ago had changed him and many many years of being alone with nothing but his own foul self had made his disposition worse. If angry, he could be like the more savage soquili.
He had finished stomping the petals and now they were ripped, ugly and dirty. With satisfaction on his face, he stepped back and that was when he heard the snapping of the branch. The smile on his face quickly disappeared and his eyes narrowed as he peered into the forest.
"Who's there? Show yourself! Now!" he yelled.

Should I run?....No...no. He'd catch me...What have you done, Tuli?
Tuli was frozen at the sound of the stallions voice. It was strong and very intimidating. Her blue body just stood there, she couldn't make her muscles move. You'd better go....show him there's no threat....
Slowly, Tuli moved her legs. Her head hung low, her wings and tail tucked as closely to her body as possible. She made her way from her hiding spot into a small open area, still a good space between her and the agitated male.
"I was only passing by, Sir...."
Times like this, Tuli wish she had gotten some of her father's looks and strength. She hated being a 'typical' female. Petite in size and unable to intimidate a fly.

It was just a mare. He sighed and relaxed, though he kept a glare fixed on her. She appeared to be timid, which was mildly a relief. If she had been another stubborn mare or another stallion, he probably would have lashed out at her. As it were, Tuli was the best horse to have emerged from the shadows. He'd destroyed the tree, and had no desire to turn on something else if he didn't need to.
"Just passing by?" he replied, eying her suspiciously.

"Yes, Sir."
Her eyes rose to meet his glance, but only briefly. Her ears tilted back, she tried to speak without her voice shaking too much.
"I noticed your wings...I...I stopped to get a better look." Her own wings moved quickly, ruffling her feathers. "I just stopped to admire them." She had also been stunned by his handsome mane and tail, they were long, flowing, and gorgeous.
"I didn't mean to intrude on anything, I'll be more than happy to leave, Sir."
Just keep it simple....maybe he'll let you live. She didn't know this stallion, but he didnt' seem to be one that she would want to take up a war of words...or actions with. With her father and brothers far off, she'd stand no chance if she found herself in a sticky situation with this stallion. Be smart, Tuli.....stay calm.

He studied her carefully, and at her words of admiration, flung his wings out to their full length, then let them settle gracefully back on his back. Auster conceited? Never.
He wrinkled his nose at her a little. She was blue and white, not a horrid combination, but the pink petals at her feet were a little nauseating. But she had admired him, and for the time being, he wasn't ready to dismiss her just yet.
"I see," he said impassively, looking down his snout at her.

Tuli looked up again as she heard his wings move. She stared in awe as he stretched them to their full wingspan then resettled them. She was truly amazed, she had never seen such. Her father had great wings, but he still only had two.
"Might...Might I ask, if it's not too much bother, how did you come to have such grand wings?" Tuli spoke, looking at the stallion's feet. For some reason, she just didn't feel that she was suited enough to look this stallion in the eye. She couldn't remember ever being -this- intimidated before.
"I've never met a soquili such as yourself, Sir." she tried to explain so that he wouldn't think her daft.

He tilted his head at her, swishing his tail lazily. "I am an Angeni soquili," he said grandly, ruffling his feathers. "We are a rare breed and can fly higher than the mountains." He was amused by the fact he seemed to be intimidating her. He hadn't even been that rude or harsh.
"Would you stop looking at my feet? I'm sure they are uninteresting."

"They're not interesting in the sli.." She caught herself and blushed a bit. She forced herself to look up at the stallion. Finally getting to see all of him without looking away quickly. She stood in awe for a moment before continuing.
"An Angeni?" Her ears perked and her voice suddenly shifted. Her father had told her great stories of the Angeni. "My father has told me of your kind, he said your's was the most magnificent breed of soquili. He's never seen one, but he said rumor has that you fly higher and faster than any other soquili!" She stopped, feeling as though she was rambling.
She took a few steps closer, but still out of his range. "My father was right, you are magnificent." She gazed over him, his wings...his mane...his tail. Surely he was a supreme breed. "How high can you truely fly?"
Again, Tuli's downfall. Her curiousity always kept her from leaving at opportune times.

He kept a wary eye on her, watching in silence as she studied him and spoke. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as she started to say that his feet were uninteresting, but other than that, no expression crossed his face.
He nodded. "Your father is indeed right, on all aspects," he said importantly. "Angeni can fly to the tops of the mountains." He was amused by her curiosity for now, as long as it was pointed at him at least. If she were to begin firing questions at him about anything else, he would become easily irritated. But for now, all was good.

"That has to be an amazing view. To be able to fly to the peak." She tried to regain her composure in front of the stallion. He didn't seem to be terribly intimidating upon talking to him. "Perhaps something had just irritated him..., she thought to herself as she continued.
Her eyes suddenly caught a glimpse of the small wings that graced his rear legs, her eyes widened a bit. Her head dipped to take a closer look, making sure of what she had seen through his thick tail. "You have another set?!" Her voice full of suprise. "What do you use those for?" She lifted her head and looked back into the male's expressionless face.
Tuli was amazed. She couldn't wait to get home to her family and tell them she had met an angeni. She couldnt' wait to tell her father that they were more than ancient legends. She wondered if her brothers had met an angeni yet....surely she would finally be the first at something?
(It's been almost 2wks without a reply. I'm going to consider this rp stalled. PM me if you wish to continue.)

"Ah," he said, flicking his tail out of the way for just a moment to show that he did indeed have little wings at the back of his hind legs, "but I thought my feet were uninteresting?" With a small snort, he let his long wavy tail fall back to the ground once more. "I don't think they serve much of a purpose, other than for show. Perhaps some balance while I am flying, but other than that, I would say nothing." He watched the pale blue mare for a moment, icy eyes impassive. "Is there anything else you would like to marvel at while we are here?"
