It was yet another beautiful day in the Seconds world, and now that the family knew what had become of Celebor and why he wasn't home anymore, Skye's mother had deemed it safe for the other children to go back to the world of their creation to play.
Skye had taken full advantage of that fact, and she had gone straight to the meadow where she loved to spend so much time. She loved everything about it - the sun on her face, the grasses that brushed against her arms as she walked, and the way it made her feel to be able to dance near the large oak tree that dominated the area.
It was, however, her first time being there since she had grown to teenhood, and she was excited to see how things might be different. So far, the biggest difference was that the grass brushed against her hands as she walked now, and not against her elbows - but she wanted to get in a good amount of dance practice before going back to show her teachers that she had grown, she wanted to make sure that she would still be able to dance with them.
So there she was, moving gracefully through the long grass, arms raised above her heads as she twirled on the tips of her toes.

The sun was bright, the sky was blue, and a certain little angel wanted to go out and enjoy it all. Seeing as she was too small to really go out on her own yet, her big brother, who had recently grown even more, was at her side with a smile as always.
'It is pretty out today' she spelled out with her hands and fingers in sign lanuage with a contented sigh. She had been learning how to talk with her hands over the past few months, though it seemed that she always had to have Syrus around to tell someone what she was saying, as no one knew what she was really doing.
Syrus took in a deep breath of fresh air. It had been a while since he was last here, and it was his first true outing since he reached his teenhood.
"It is rather nice out today, isn't it Suzura..." he mused, looking for the tree and wondering if it seemed any smaller, but it wasn't the tree that caught his attention, but a twirling mix of blue and gold.
"Huh..." he pondered, and could see Suzura moving her hands out of the corner of his eye, so he looked back down at her. "Could you repeat that?"
'Dancing. It looks like she is dancing' she signed again.

Skye remained oblivious to the fact that there were people nearby that might be watching her as she went through her dance routine. She went back to the very first dance she had learned - sliding step, step, step, twirl, step and a hop, arms up, gracefully lowered, and bend of the knees.
Then she turned around to do it again, get a little higher up on her toes, fix what she hadn't done correctly the first time, but just as she moved to take the first gliding step she spotted the other two seconds that were nearby. She paused, arms outstretched, one foot forward and one foot back, and stared at them.
She had never seen them before.
But she was a friendly angel, always eager to make new friends and meet new people, so it was no trouble at all for her to stop what she was doing and move swiftly, gracefully, to meet them.

Syrus was always a shy one, though not as much since his sister came around. Still, seeing that the now apparent angel was coming over to greet them, he couldn't help but fidget just a little bit as his nerves sunk in. In fact, he might have gotten lost in his slight inner frenzy if it weren't for a tiny tug at his pant leg.
'Could you lift me up Syrus? I can hardly see over this grass' Suzura asked, even though it was only to help Syrus get over his shyness. She smiled as he was quick to pick her up. She was small enough to fit easily on one of his shoulders, and so she sat on her now higher perch and waved at Skye with a smile.
Following suit, Syrus to smiled and waved, though honestly not as enthusicastically as his tiny sister. He was then able to stutter out a shakey "H...hello there" in greetings.

Skye waved back at the two new seconds, giggling to herself.
"Hello!" she called out cheerfully, coming to a stop just in front of them and smiling brightly at them. "My name is Skye, what are your names?"
She giggled and brushed her hair back over her shoulders. She wasn't used to its new length quite yet, or the way it flowed so silkily down her back. She had only grown a week previously after all.

Suzura giggled a bit as well, or at least it looked like she was, even though no sound came out. Excited and forgetting that Skye might not know how to speak in motions like she did, her hands moved to answer Skye's question.
'My name is Suzura,' she 'spoke', and then nudged Syrus a bit with her hand to let him know she was done.
"I'm Syrus," he said, feeling slightly more at ease. Well, she didn't seem to mind that they were watching her dance. That had been one of his worries. She seemed very nice though. There really shouldn't be anything to worry about.
Then, realizing that Suzura had signed out her name, and unsure of Skye's knowledge, he was quick to add in "And this is Suzura, my sister."

Skye watched Suzura's hands curiously, amazed that she had finally found someone else who spoke in the same manner as she sometimes did.
"Su ... zu ... ra," she murmured to herself, working out the girl's name on her tongue and trying it out. Then she tried to put it altogether. "Suzura."
Satisfied that she had gotten it right, she turned her attention to the boy's name. But she had been so busy watching Suzura's hands that she hadn't caught the boy saying his name, only when he repeated his sister's.
She smiled sheepishly and put her hands behind her back. "I did not ... see your name, I am sorry," she murmured, a light blush sprinkling across her cheeks. "Can you please ... say again?"

"Ummm...okay then..." Syrus said, slightly confused. See his name? Didn't she mean hear? Oh well...
"My name is Syrus," he said again, just a tad more slower so she could catch it this time.
Suzura on the other hand noticed right away that Skye seemed to understand what she had said before Syrus had even said anything and was quite excited with the entire fact. She was nearly bouning on Syrus' shoulder with upmost glee, though she did wait until Syrus was done talking so that Skye wouldn't have to watch more then one thing at a time.
'You can undertstand me! That is so neat!' her hands flashed. 'Normally people do not understand what I am trying to say without my brother around to translate'

Skye watched Syrus's lips closely and repeated carefully after him: "Sssssy ... ros ..."
But that didn't feel right in her mouth.
She caught the movement of Suzura's hands out of the corner of her eye, and she smiled at the girl and lifted her hands to sign, 'Most people do not understand me when I sign either but my family does. I am very happy to meet someone else who can sign as well!'
But then she turned back to Syrus, determined to learn properly how to say his name.
"May I ... see again?" she asked, reaching one hand forward slowly, non-threateningly, towards his throat so that she would be able to feel his vibrations. She was so used to other people letting her do it that she never stopped to think that her actions might be startling to some.

Syrus jerked back at her hand so close to his thoat at first, but then recalled how smoothly she was able to use sign herself. Perhaps that was what she ment by her seeing his name.
She was reading his lips. Not listening to his voice
Stepping forward again so her hand was close, he said his name again, his hands slightly signing what he was saying.
"Syrus"
Suzura remained motionless for this as to allow Skye to have full attention on what was going on.

Skye let her fingers rest lightly against his throat as he spoke, and though he also used his hands her eyes were on his lips. After he had spoken, she tried once more to say his name:
"Sssy ... rus ... Syrus ... Syrus?"
And she turned her bright blue eyes to his face, looking for approval or correction.

Syrus nodded. "That's right," he said with a smile, then waved his hands slightly so she would take notice of them before he started.
'Not mind if ask, but no can hear, yes?' his hands signed out rather choppily.
'He is better at talking in all honesty' Suzura noted after the display. 'He is better at telling others what I say then signing himself'
'Sush!' Syrus signed back, face flushing in slight embarassment before saying "I'm getting better at it!"

Skye giggled, putting one hand daintily to her mouth, and her eyes flickered to Suzura.
"Yes," she said brightly, "he talk much better with mouth than hands, but he can learn! I am sure he can learn good!"
She turned back to Syrus and giggled again. "Syrus use good hands if is just beginning to learn, just like Skye ... like I am starting to talk good because I am learning!"
She mostly just used sign language to know what others were saying, her speech had always been quite good, mostly thanks to her amazing sense of sf touch.

Syrus blushed again, this time due to Skye's compliment. He rubbed the back of his neck and laughed a bit.
"Yeah, I suppose I have come a long way with what little practice I have had with it..." he said.
Suzura nodded, then turned her attention back to Skye. 'By the way, you were dancing quite lovely a few moments ago. Is it hard to twirl like that and not get dizzy?'
