Okay people, it has been well noted that dispite the fact that Snape was the one to end Dumbledore's life, many people still trust and indeed love him.
My question is, why?
Was it a slow build up of trust over the course of the books? Or was it a single action which made you believe in him? Or do you still hold Snape to be an evil b*****d who should die in a very nasty way?
Personly I always thought of Snape to be a nasty bugger and had doubts of his loyalty to the side of good. What changed my mind? When Draco's mother asked him to kill Dumbledore if Draco should fail, his hand twitched. In that moment Snape gained my trust.

Snape gradually built my trust. It seemed in every horrible situation Harry was in, Snape was always there to help him out of it. And even in his death Dumbledore trusted him. No matter what, Snape will always be one of my top favorite characters.

Dumbledore may have trusted him, but he made a huge mistake on that one. He even said that he made mistakes. Snape is really evil.

I think Snape killed Dumbledore to save Malfoy on Dumbloedores orders, besides if Dumbledore can trust him why shouldn't everyone else? But I will admit, I do NOT like him very much

Departed Memories Dumbledore may have trusted him, but he made a huge mistake on that one. He even said that he made mistakes. Snape is really evil. exactly, I hope spape boils in his own grease. may he sizzle to a french fry. I mean, seriously, Dumbledore's last words were "Severus, please..." and snape still killed him. Snape will die, I shall make sure of that in all my fanfics.

What made me gain his trust: Well, it wasn't really a slow build up, I'll tell you that. Once I read the 3rd book I loved Snape. I mean, looking back after I read that book, to the frist one, even after everything that James had done to him, he still saved Harry's life. Hell, there wouldn't be a Harry Potter without Severus.
SPOILER: While I was re-reading the sixth book. In the last part, when Severus was running form Harry who was attacking him, he seemed, to me, to be trying to teach him at the same time. Telling him in some ways he must use non-verbal, or that he doesn't have enough power to use the un-forgiveable cruses (which is true, we know he doesn't).
Snape cares about Malfoy, he like a step-in-daddy while Draco's father is in prison. He promised his mother he would protect him with his life.
There are many reasons why I still trust him. Many reasons why I still love him.
Plus, I love how mad he got Harry. xD It's great. <3 Love ya' Severus.

I dunno....I still don't really care for Snape, but he didn't have much choice but to kill Dumbledore whether he wanted to or not. He made an Unbreakable Vow to Narcissa, he didn't have a choice. He had to help Draco and it was obvious Draco couldn't or didn't want to. *shrug* I dunno, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next book.

Well, I loved Severus ever since the first Potions lesson. You could tell, he was so into Potions, he described it so beautifully, and then he insults them. It was awesome. I've adored him ever since, and still do.
There have been many posts on why Severus killed Dumbledore, but in my opinion, it boils down to this: If you honestly think Dumbledore was pleading for his life, you need to re-read the entire series, because that is a serious mis-judgement of everything Dumbledore stands for. I don't even like him, and yet I still give him that much credit. Also, note that they [Severus and Dumbledore] were staring at eachother for several seconds. Do you really think, in such a crucial moment, that two wizards skilled at both Occulomens and Legilimens would not have some sort of a conversation.
For those reasons, and several more, I believe that Severus Snape killed Albus Dumbledore under Dumbledore's own orders, and still regretted it.

Wether it was to still be an info leak on Voldemort or to save Malfoy, I dont know or care. Hes still my lovey heart

He gave mixed signals. His hand twitched when he made the bond yet when he did indeed have to kill Dumbledore he looked at him with pure hatred. Although that could very well have been for show. Snape is a toughie to figure out.

Funky Kitty This is the very same way I saw Harry's and Snape's fight. Snape hurling insults at Harry but trying to teach him something at the same time. Basically what he's been doing all the time wink He's been doing the entire time Harry's been there. He just has a different way a teaching. Well, I think. I mean, if you have enought insults thrown out you, you're going to want to shove that you can do it in there face, aren't you?
