 Falx strolled breezily down the forest path, thinking aesthetic thoughts about the fresh grass and other new greenery. He had decided that he infinitely preferred summer to the time of his birth. Wet, cold, and bare brown dirt could not compare to the lush and verdant landscape of the kinder seasons.
He paused for a moment to mark a tree using one of his electric knives - if he got lost, he would have to sleep outside, which was intolerable - and then continued wandering on his merry way.

 Hiroyuki was in another one of her grumpy moods today.
The female left the house she shared with her sister, white tails up in the air, an annoyed look on her face. Last night, Verix(And that annoying brother of hers...the name was Derix, so she heard.) had caused some chaos. Well, while that might not be surprising, the part Nobody siblings had woken Harumi and Hiroyuki up in the middle of night, and they had gotten in...a brawl of sorts.
"Idiots." She grumbled to herself, her wand tucked behind her ear. "I wish I could Avada Kedavra them, but Okaa-sama wouldn't be pleased with me at all. In fact, I think she'll disown me. Aunt Ayako wouldn't be very happy either. They are her grandkids...anyway, it's not like I've learned the spell. No one is going to teach me anyway."
Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a familiar blonde kitsu and brightened slightly. "Falx-san? Ooh, it is you! You've grown bigger! So have I, see?" She paused, then looked him over. "You're as big as my Aunt Ayako." Technically, she was a little larger than him now...wasn't she?

"Yes, yes, I'm quite aware that I don't appear much like my parents," Falx waved off the question with a flick of his paw.
In truth, he'd been a little surprised that he'd grown up smaller than his mother and father, and with the odd mane of chest hair that signified so-called 'normal' kitsusagi. For a while he'd wondered if he were a Nobody at all. But he hadn't been able to work up any significant emotions on the subject, so he supposed his blood still ran true no matter what.
He pasted on his brightest smile.
"Ah, but I am remiss. You look lovely, my dear! It pains me to see a scowl on the face of an angel such as yourself. Is your search for mythical creatures not going well?"

"Your parents are like mine too? That's weird. All my siblings are the same size. Some even got got wings, y'know. From Obaasan. I'm so glad I don't have them. Extra appendages are annoying, and I'd most likely get them dirty anyway. And who knows how hard wings are to clean? Fur is easier." Hiroyuki rambled on about her siblings' wings; seriously, that had been a shock, and paused as a frown appeared on her face at his question.
"That's alright, really. The search, I mean. There was a strange creature leaving in a pond near our house. And it had a tail! Not sure if it's a mermaid; I've only caught a glimpse of it. On the other hand..." She huffed, flexing her claws angrily. "Verix and her brother ruined our sleep last night. Just BAM! They were throwing rocks at our house! I had to repair it with magic, but that wasn't the only thing! They were trying to hurt us as well! Her brother with that robotic arm of his, and her with her double-edged blade!" Now, was it just her, or were her claws going blue? She frowned and wiped them on a nearby patch of grass. If her eyes hadn't been on Falx, the witch would have noticed that the grass she had touched was starting to shrivel up.

Oh, Falx was so glad that Hiroyuki thought he had grown up 'weird' and that he looked like a tiny old lady. Really. What a charming femme she was.
Hmph. He was still attractive enough, even if he didn't resemble a wingless angelic. Wasn't that right? Falx was about to interrupt Hiroyuki's ramblings with a very scathing remark about some children grew up into rude people, when he noticed the blue glow around her paws.
"Fascinating, I'm sure." He drawled. "I say- what's happened to your paws? It's almost pretty."

Of course, Hiroyuki hadn't meant for it to come out that way. She just tended to say things off her head, not thinking about whether others would be offended by her remarks or not. And also, her aunt Ayako was the only adult she has seen of that size.
"I have no idea." She blinked, distracted and stared at it for an instant, paused in her ramblings, for once. "I've never...seen something like this before."

"Hmm," Falx curiously looked at her paws. The hint of testiness was barely discernible under his thick, protective layers of false good cheer. "I dare say it's some sort of power. Though you're a very late in life to come to it."
Of course, not everyone could be the fabulously quick learner that he was.
"I do hope you'll let me look at that. It really is quite aesthetically pleasing."
He reached out to touch one of Hiroyuki's limbs with his own gloved paws, thinking that the leather would protect him form any ill effect. The shimmering blue light looked awfully inviting. How could something so pretty be deadly?
Apparently, it could be deadly very easily.
Falx lurched back with a pained cry. Every part of him seized up with pain, as though he'd been scalded from the inside-out. Was this feeling? He didn't know. It was all too much, too fast, and the sensation overwhelmed him. He staggered shakily away from Hiroyuki, trying to summon electric blades that would not come. Frustrated sparks of electricity shimmered around his body. It was difficult to think clearly. His head was full of fog.
"W-what- What did you-"
Chills overtook his body. He collapsed on his side, muscles seizing involuntarily.
"Why did-?"
He couldn't say any more. It was all too disorienting.

"Well, you can never help these stuff with powers." Hiroyuki huffed. It wasn't her fault her powers had come late! She was about to babble on about how good she was with wand magic, and that she was efficient at non verbal spells, and even Patronuses already! Of course, he wouldn't have understood.
"It is kinda pretty. It looks like the same shade of blue as my vest." She said, watching his paw touch it, curiosity alight in her eyes. What exactly was it, really?
She would have never prepared herself for his reaction though. he fell back, Hiroyuki screamed, looking horrified, shocked...as realization swept through her mind. Otou-sama...and Onii-chan...mentioned something about poisons... "What happened? Are you okay?" She reached out her paws to support him, eyes flashing in concern. "I didn't think...Since my powers never showed when I was young...Otou-sama never said how to control it!" Where was the poison coming from? Her claws? Why did it just...come?
"Hold on! You'll be fine! Aunt Ayako's a great healer!" She was trying not to cry, and didn't even notice the glow that had started to surround both of them, healing Falx slowly. Gradually, but healing nonetheless.
Panicked, the witch held on to the Nobody and Apparated to her aunt's house. The only one that could help was Aunt Ayako...she could think of no other individual with healing powers. Even if she knew of others, Hiroyuki's mind was much too blank with horror right now to even think.

"W- what did you just do?"
Ooooh, that didn't feel good. Falx's head was already swimming, and his system hadn't taken well to the shock of his first apparition. He wavered and wobbled, trying to make out the blurry surroundings, but eventually ended up falling to his side again.
Later, he would fiercely regret facing this situation less than elegantly. But now was now, and all Falx could think about was that he felt woozy and disoriented.

"I'm not even sure! Otou-sama said something about him...and poisons before. I think...I poisoned you. But I didn't mean it!" Her healing was taking effect already, neutralizing the poison. It didn't occur to the witch that she shouldn't be so brash as to Apparate; she had seen how her cousin had reacted to Apparating, his face green. It was the only way, though, to help.
So she thought. "Aunt Ayako? You here? Please, you have to help!"
Hiroyuki's voice was pretty loud, despite the situation, and it wasn't long till the witch in question padded out. "Oh...my." Immediately, Ayako reached her healer's glow out to them. Two healers were always better than one. "What happened?"
"I...poisoned him. I didn't mean it, honest!"

Falx ordinarily would have said something poetic about the older female's russet fur. Right now, however, he was too busy dry-heaving and trying to stay standing upright. He wasn't himself. He was nauseous, and where his insides weren't burning they felt like they had been scraped raw.
"So. You must be Ayako. Turned out weird, like me- but-" He took a moment to hack some more before continuing. "But I'm- charmed to meet- Oh, hell."
He wobbled, but somehow managed to keep his balance by spreading out his tails. Slowly but surely, the healing was working.

"Weird?" She questioned, pressing her small gold wings to her back. "I prefer to just think of it as different. Unique." She knew what he was talking about; their size. It wasn't so strange to her as it was to him...after all Remus, her father was of the same size. "Just stay calm. You'll be fine."
Hiroyuki had set Falx gently down on some cushions she Summoned and was about to move off to the side to let her aunt work on the healing but was stopped with a paw. "Stay here, 'Yuki. Two healers are better than one."
"Whaaaattttt?!" The witch looked shocked, tails swishing nervously. Two powers in a day?!
"It's lucky it kicked in fast. The poison is quite...deadly." The older kitsusagi murmured, turquoise eyes flashing. "And I know you didn't mean it." She interrupted before her niece could even speak, and Hiroyuki closed her open mouth with an upset look on her face. Silence passed as both healers worked on their patient, a unusual situation for the talkative Hiroyuki to be in.
It wasn't surprising then, when the healing was over that questions immediately poured out of her mouth. "Are you alright? Feeling better? I'm sorry it happened! I don't even understand that stupid poison stuff...powers are so weird! Why do they have to come now?"

Falx was silent for a long while. Pain was not the sort of feeling that required a heart. It was a physiological reaction. So the fact that he had felt as though acid had run through his veins in stead of blood should not particularly phase him. He was a gentleman. He should brush this off.
"If I had emotions, I would probably be very angry with you."
The male's exhausted body was draped over a pair of cushions, and he could barely keep his eyes open through the fatigue. It made the bright smile on his face and the chirp in his tone seem all the more fake.
"But I don't have emotions. Do you understand?"

She opened her mouth to retort, face falling to devastation before it changed to confusion and was replaced with a blank stare. "Whaat? Oh, that's right, you're a Nobody. How could I have forgotten?" She smacked her forehead with a paw.
Turquoise eyes had narrowed in his direction. Ayako knew of course. "I understand. Who are you?" She asked, her face stern. A Nobody that did not wear a black coat. How...interesting. He had gloves...yet she was sure no one in the Organization would let their coat be stolen or go without it. Saix would not.

"That's excellent, kitten." Falx nodded at Hiroyuki, the ghost of a smile haunting his features. "I should hate to see you disrupt the aesthetics of this charming bedside scene by making any more pained faces. Did you know they scrunch up the moon on your forehead? It's very distracting."
Weak though his motions were, they were also controlled and deliberate. The healing magic had saved him from any permanent damage. All he needed now was a good night's rest.
He turned his attention to Ayako.
"My, my." Falx arched an eyebrow and his smile broadened into a parody of good cheer. The mild expression that he'd given Hiroyuki had seemed much more genuine. This new look of his was so falsely merry that it was almost a challenge. "I thank you for your services, Madame, but I must say, that's not the most mannerly tone to take with a guest. I'm the last-born son of Larxene and Marluxia. And I don't take well to threats and demands."
He could still summon the power. He thought. He hoped? Even if he couldn't, he still had his pride.
