Finally all grown up, Usare has stepped up to the position of Aran'shale to the Sparda side. As he's grown, the son of Verge'lian's attitude has gotten a bit closer to that of his sire - not quite so quick to flare. But he still knows how to have fun, and is proud of his heritage and pride.

Phlegyas has grown cold and morose. He's a bit of a Hamlet character, after all, his father was killed and he was the heir. He's moody and unkind, but he's not cruel like many of his demonic brethren. He hates the new twin-rulers and though he never loved his father, Iar (as a matter of fact, he always hated and resented him) he despises Drathir for beating him in the tournament of heirs because their contact sparked a vision.

Changed after returning from her exodus, Moricorm has calmed and tempered. She's still as sharp as before, but there is a purpose to her that wasn't there before. And a tolerance of things she once saw as 'unfit'. She even tolerates Kifatamu's rule...though she will never say she LIKES it.

At times, this could include her being in charge - but she's just as happy directing things from behind the scenes. So long as things are going the way she thinks they should be.

Tuc has a pure hatred for those 'pale demons'. She also has a knack for falling for those one liners of the Incubus. Recently, she's had a litter with the Incubus Roth and produced five spawn. One of those was a white male, so she gave him to her grandmother, who was leaving. Now she's simply raising her four children.

She's one of Phlegyas' youngest daughters and doesn't feel that demon-y, which is why she chose to pursue the huntress rank over anything more sinister. She's eager to get her father's approval, though, and she does seem to feel like she has a demon within her.

Taswira is an odd girl, quiet and generally contemplative, but very confident and sure of herself. She has moments where she seems at odds with herself, but those moments do not last long anymore. She takes solace in having a pride again, being a former Dunzi of the Mwako with her mate Set, and understands the Aikanaro...aren't exactly what she grew up believing they were...

Tirma'ath: Tavar'urya - Lashi - Das Tor - [x]
Tavar is an odd one, even for a demon. He doesn't believe in concepts like 'good' and 'evil'. He simply does what seems best for him (and the pride, if that's the case) at the time. He follows the teachings of Sparda, and is a bit of a stickler for the rules. He rarely shows deep feeling...but he IS highly protective of his cousin Umarth...and very wary of his Aunt Moricorm.
Tirma'eth: Wanwa'hnwma - Ara - Das Tor - [x]
Wan is...well, no-nonsense. She's normally amiable, but doesn't take s**t and is liable to turn dangerous if you step on her beliefs. She believes the strong should be in charge, but that doesn't mean you trod on the weak. Take them under your wing, certainly...even if they don't realize that under your wing is the better place. In a fight, she is ruthless, unforgiving, and has no qualms going for the throat. Pray you only spar against her.
Tirma'ath: Raavea Naur - Cresil - Kaori_luv - [x]
He got a superiority complex a mile wide. He truly thinks he is one of the best the demons have to offer especially in the way of coloring. He tries his best not associate with anyone he deems unworthy and only keeps the most demon of acquaintances (in his opinion). Needless to say he despises a lot of the prides members.

Rasi entered the pride with Rhaen and two other lionesses as a slave some time ago. More recently Rasi has shed his shackles with the help of Rhaen and taken on one of the general demon ranks. At first he believed he was only 'pretending' to be a demon to gain his freedom, but after enduring the trails of the volcano and settling into his new role he started to wonder... was he really pretending?

As an adolescent he was hard, prideful and humorless, quick to anger and quicker to defend himself, never backing down from a fight. As an adult, he has mellowed somewhat, but only in private.

Marinette is a highly cheerful, happy, and slightly twisted lioness. She is rarely seen for as demonic as she really is.

Kurwa'e: Moto'ubele - Bifrons - fuKurohane - [x]
Bele is nothing short of devoted to her craft. Probably one of the most skilled crafters around, this lionness was blessed by Sanaa, goddess of crafting, as a young cub. She was brought here by her beloved brother, Mahewa, after years of travelling with him (or more like tracking). He is the most significant male in his life, and she will likely never choose a mate - after all, she loathes cubs. The only thing she takes more pride in than being in this pride and her gift of the craft is her noble Firekin bloodline. Thus, she is quite large (and knows how to use that when it comes to fighting). Bele is sarcastic and full of attitude, but she knows when to lay low. She also hides a secret - just what that is could be anyone's guess.

He is quiet, seeing no point in words that have no meaning, and he doesn't believe in having a silver tongue. He says what he needs to, when he needs to. Nothing else.

Maer'ksh is an extremely vicious young demoness. She fully enjoys tormenting anything and anyone she can get her paws on. There also seems to be something ... very wrong in her head. She talks in odd speech patterns, not one really ever the same, and jumps from one thing to another quite randomly.

Amashen, usually known simply as 'Shen, really really really likes pain. And playing games. That too. One of his favorite past-times is to get hold of a victim and "play" with them for days on end, until they are broken. He actually derives pleasure out of this more often than not.

Tamin is a bit of what you might call a spoiled rich kid. Other then his father he really hasn't encountered others that say 'no' to him and therefor doesn't really know the meaning. He loves water... or at least his demon does. And his big goal in life is to go out into the rouge lands and bring home many.... i do mean many... demon cubs home, the more that are his the better.

Recently took on the position of Neumare in order to hunt down the leopard who killed her mother.

It's an unblinking stare, the curling back of her lip to show sharp teeth, but even more, it's the sharper words. If someone is on her list, she'll do her best to strike at their core, even if that means stalking them for days to find it.
She's more than confused as to why she, as part of the second litter, gets the familial attention while her big brothers get the throne. Undoubtedly she resents them while still looking up to them. But, she still wonders 'Why not me?'

Phos is a decent lion when all is said and done. He keeps his paws clean and doesn't get into any more trouble than a normal curious cub would, but this lion has quite the talent for holding a grudge. Vengeance is his middle name, and he won't rest until justice is extracted on whoever wronged him. It will grow as he does and, when he's an adult, he'll see no wrong in seriously hurting or even killing someone that doesn't agree with him. It would be wise to tread on eggshells around this lion when he's older. A hermit at heart but loyal to those who raise him, he'll take care of his kin should the need arise.

A vicious, deceitful little magpie with a love of shiny things and pecking at eyes. He currently serves Hakuna's family overall (Nyota especially), and pretends subservience to others in the pride to save his own feathers.

But one day he had the misfortune of being picked off by a large bird of prey who thought they could handle Midas. His weight was too much, and the bird released him. Thinking of his good fortune... He was mistaken to have found he landed at the feet of the Aikanaro'hini prince Phlegyas, who thinking him a gift from Morifaer, made him his slave.

If Ben has a demon living within him, he's quashed it pretty thoroughly so that it will never manifest, or he will refuse to acknowledge it if it does. You see, Ben has an unusual (oh, hell it's more than that, it's unnatural) obsession with his blue and black sister, Kidogo'Mwanamizi. As far as actual personality goes, Ben tries very hard to be a perpetual blank slate so that Kidogo'Mwanamizi can write whatever she wants him to be and he'll be that. At heart, however, he is manipulative in passive ways

Pale Demons: Must seek a pride owner approved plot to attain any ranks higher then the standard ones. As a general rule, pale demons will not be accepted to any high ranking positions. Activity Requirements
There are three types of activity requirements, depending on how high up you are in rank. Once a quarter (March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st), there will be an activity check, and those who are in high positions that do not meet the requirements will be demoted to the default rank of Tsafar/Tsafare. You CAN apply for an extension simply by letting us know that life is rough at the moment in a PM, but you can only apply for it once every two quarters. ALL requirements are completed RPs, not incomplete.

High: 2 RPs per quarter
Moderate: 1 RP per quarter
Low: No RPs required.

--Higher Ranks--
These ranks are the highest in the pride and all other ranks below them defer to the lions who hold them.

Pride Leaders
[ Aran'shale (male), Tari'shoter (female) ]
RP Requirements: High
Pride Leaders are those who lead the pride. In this arrangement, there should be a male/female pair for each of the pride's gods (the monarch and their concubine/significant other). Usually, there are two Leaders, but the possibility is there to have only one - for example, if one or more Leaders were killed.

Heirs
[ Tarenai (male), Tarenei (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low, due to IC circumstances
These are members of the royal family who have been confirmed as Heirs. Any of the Heirs may become Leaders of the pride if a change of leadership is needed through the Leadership Ritual. If they choose to become one of the general ranks, they may leave the Heir rank on their cert if they so wish. However, if they go into any of the god-specific or higher ranks, the rank on their cert should change to reflect this.

Consorts
[ Cael're (male), Cael'rea (female) ]
RP Requirements: Medium
Each god may have up to to two Consorts at a time. Pride Leaders may also take a Consort aside from their mate. This means that all the Leaders of the pride may have one consort each, be they male or female.

Priests
[ Ele'aina (male), Ele'aine (female) ]
RP Requirements: High
Each god may have up to two Priests at one time. The Priests can be male or female, it doesn't matter which - but there are never more than four. Priests must also always be Seers. If Priests have cubs, the cubs may live with them in the Priests' den until they are old enough to leave their mothers. At that point, they must be given to the Nurses, or fostered out to another family, for the rest of their upbringing.

Royal Guard
[ Arma'ath (male), Arma'eth (female) ]
RP Requirements: Medium
This is a group of lions whose sole purpose is to protect the Leaders and sometimes the Priests. It is a small, elite group and there are never more than ten at one time. Each Leader of the pride is almost always accompanied by at least one Royal Guard member at all times. The Guard assigned to the Leader(s) shifts in a regular rotation so that any one lion does not get "special treatement".

Council
[ Ro'sar (male), Ro'sare (female) ]
RP Requirements: Medium
Members of the Council help to settle disputes that Sparda's mediators cannot handle or refer to them. They also assist the Leaders in ruling the pride and passing down the laws that are decreed by Leaders and Priests. At times, the Council may also discuss new ideas for laws and rules and then present these ideas to the Leaders for approval or rejection. There is a core group of four lions whose only ranking is a Council member. Aside from these, one lion from each rank is chosen to sit on the Council. For these lions, when they are formally addressed in RP, Ro' should be added to the beginning of their rank names (ex: Ro'tsafar). If the owners of these lions choose, the rank on their cert may also be written like this. Otherwise, their rank stays the same as it would normally be.

--General Ranks--
The lions in these ranks are a mixed bag, from hunters to cubs and slaves. They may worship whichever god they choose and are watched over by both gods equally.

Hunters
[ Tsafar (male), Tsafare (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
Hunters are the backbone of the pride. Meat is always needed to feed the pride and so there must always be those to provide it. This is the "default" rank for most adults of the pride.

Defenders
[ Tirma'ath (male), Tirma'eth (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These are the lions who defend the pride from any and all interlopers. If there is ever a war, they would be on the front lines. They also patrol the borders and mark them, making sure that all know this land belongs to the demons.

Pleasure-seekers
[ Incubus (male), Succubus (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These lions are focused on one thing, and one thing alone. Seeking, and finding, pleasure. Generally, this means pleasures of the flesh, but also of the spirit and the mind. Also, they not only seek pleasure for themselves but for any who come to them. They sometimes may serve as counselors to others, or help them to relax and work through emotional or mental problems. They are supposed to be neutral in all things, but this is not always the case. If a Pleasure-seeker has cubs, they will generally send them to the Nurses to raise, as most don't want the responsibility of a family. However, this is not required and some may choose to raise cubs themselves.

Crafters
[ Kurwa (male), Kurwa'e (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These lions are skilled in making and crafing things. They create items for other members of the pride. They are also in charge of any kind of decorations for various pride rituals, holidays, and etc.

Cub-nurses
[ Yana'hin (male), Yana'hine (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These lions watch over the young of the pride and often are their first teachers. If a cub's parents are away from home a lot, they may give their young ones to the Nurses indefinitely to raise. Many cubs of Priests are raised by the Nurses unless there is a specific family that takes them in. However, the Nurses may also function as a cub-sitting service for any and all adults.

Trainees
[ Hirao'alph (male), Hirao'alphe (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
All Juveniles and Adolescents of the pride fall into this rank - with the exception of confirmed Heirs. Only when they become adults will their certs reflect their chosen ranks - though they should be training for them from an early age.

Younglings
[ Zera'ni (male), Zera'ne (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
All Cubs in the pride fall under this rank, including cubs of the Leaders. Until these Cubs pass the ritual to confirm them as Heirs, they hold the same rank as all other Cubs.

Slaves
[ Na'artu (male), Na'artue (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
The lowest of the low, Slaves are mostly comprised of species other than lions, and any weaker lions that the pride captures or takes in. Enemies of the pride who are captured may also become Slaves. For the most part, there is no opportunity to "earn" your way out of Slave rank, especially not for any species other than lion. However, exceptions and are sometimes made if one is extremely talented, favored by a lion of the higher ranks, or very lucky.

--Morifaer Ranks--
These ranks are those that the god Morifaer directly supervises. Any lions in these ranks worship Morifaer alone.

Assassins
[ Qateth (male), Qatethe (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
If there is quiet killing to be done, this is the rank that you should turn to. Assassins may also be spies for the pride, and do other covert work. Assassination is a common practice in Aikanaro - used to take out rivals for the higher ranks, or even just to scare off, injure, or kill enemies in general.

Discipliners
[ Ra'alm (male), Ra'alme (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These lions are, more or less, torturers. They assist with any rituals that involve passing a test of strength or pain. They are also used to punish those who deserve such for various reasons. Discipliners are encouraged to practice their art on various prey-animals and the Slaves of the pride.

Seekers
[ Neumar (male), Neumare (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
Seekers are those who are permitted and even encouraged to travel out beyond the lands of the pride to seek out other demon-lions. If they find a demon, they must bring the lion back to accepted into the pride. They may also choose outside lions of pride-like colors and strong personality or physical appearance and have cubs with these lions. If the outsider is female, they should then haunt her until they have an opportunity to steal the cubs for the pride. If the Seeker is female, she should travel home to have her cubs and leave them to be raised by the Nurses when she goes out again.

--Sparda Ranks--
These ranks are those that the god Sparda directly supervises. Any lions in these ranks worship Sparda alone.

Knights
[ Arca'an (male), Arca'anme (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These lions are, more or less, like a higher class of Defender. They often have more specialized skills and are highly trained in battle-skills and strategy. If there was ever a war, they would be in the thick of it, but would be much less like "shock-troops" like the Defenders. They also tend to have attitudes of protection and loyalty - especially toward those of lower ranks. It is not at all uncommon for a Knight to "adopt" a Slave to belong to them personally and these Slaves are often treated better than most.

Teachers
[ Sinta'har (male), Sinta'hare (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
Each Teacher specializes in training young ones in a particular rank. The only ranks they don't generally train are Priests and Council members. For these ranks, the young lion will have a specific mentor of that rank to train them. The Teachers are generally older lions who have "retired" from their previous rank in order to teach the young. Sometimes, a young lion may have both a Teacher and another mentor of their chosen rank, but they don't have to. If they have no specific mentor, the Teacher acts as one for the rituals that require a mentor's presence.

Mediators
[ Tu'azan (male), Tu'azane (female) ]
RP Requirements: Low
These lions help to settle most day-to-day issues in the pride. They preside in ritual fights and help to clarify points of pridal law. If an issue proves to be more complicated than they feel they can handle, they have the option of referring the issue to the Council. They may also refer an issue if the same thing comes up over and over again.

Short bio: Unlike her fellow females, En’da does not dabble in the art of subtle manipulation, instead choosing to let her claws and teeth speak for her. Violence thrills her. For this girl there is no better passtime, nothing more satisfying than to watch a bloody fight unfold, or to even participate in one. No one will escape her little playdates unless they are bruised or bleeding. Often enough she tries to wrangle a group of her fellows to participate with her in acts of violence. She can be a bit of a bully when she spies someone weaker in spirit, taunting them, threatening them until she gets what she wants out of them, be it a fight or an extra share of meat. She behaves for her elders, though.

Anameleth doesn't really care about her own life, but would die to protect her younger sister, Moricorm. Short bio: Stolen from his home, Bavu finds himself rather conflicted. He doesn't understand why his mother had been able to save the others, but allowed him to be taken away into a strange place. Outside of that, Bavu is a reckless sort with a strong desire to protect his own. He doesn't make friends easily, constantly weary that something bad might again befall him. Though nervous at times and on-edge most constantly, he is also a rather skilled hunter and fighter, his body seemingly designed for such things. Fast and cunning, he knows how to get things done. He's just a little too awkward yet mentally to fully grasp his potential.

Short bio: After a chase that amused the both of them, Negi became 'familiar' to Nyota'Angavu. Short bio: Bara is proud, strong, and capable and knows it. If one wants to run with him they have to be able to fend for themselves as he believes very strongly in the natural rule of the strongest survive. He's a veteran of fights and prefers to stalk the savannah during the twilight hours when his coat makes it difficult for anyone to spot him. He's bold and frank though not necessarily a jerk all the time.

Short bio: Hewa is an energetic lion. He doesn't tumble all over the place, but his youthful attitude adds a little hop to his step and sway to his walk...or is that the rhythm of the wildebeest roaming over there? He finds music and rhythm in anything, and enjoys singing and making music by beating his tail on rocks/trees/people/etc. He's insistent about things he wants, and tends to blow off arguments rather than get serious. He has intense wanderlust, and a love of meeting new people. He tries to be polite, but if you rankle him he'll let you know quickly enough!
