CHIEF JUSTICE REHNQUIST HAS DIED
Bush gets to nominate another anti-gay rights, conservative, religious judge to the court, which will give him full power over all of the branches of the government. He can now make conservative-pleasing unconstitutional laws and easily pass admendments to the US Constitution.

Ah, crap. That man has no timing. (Sorry, I'm known to make light of death in a lot of situations.)
Stupid O'Connor should have waited to step down. In three-four years, we might've had a democratic president, and then we wouldn't have lost our swing voter for a conservative.
I just hope Scalia doesn't become CJ. confused

Damn the law system. If Bush wants to earn his respect, then he should use this wisely. And if he does decide to meddly with gay/bi laws, i will personally assassanite him myself. That man could not do anything worse, yes he still won the last election... damn him.

That would shift things back more than I care to think. How about we just mail him a bunch of pretzles? He'd end up killing himself. (Although, the SS might find us and arrest us for attempted assassination. xD)

There's no good way out of this because the masses tend to either love Bush or hate him. In turn, no matter what he does, roughly half the country zombie-like approves of it.Basically, we're screwed for 3 more years(at least).

In turn, no matter what he does, roughly half the country zombie-like approves of it.Basically, we're screwed for 3 more years(at least). The odds are probably worse...In fact, if by some chance, and hell melts, when this country returns to a more liberal leader in the next election, it will take a decade to heal at least two thirds of the damage inflicted by Bush. Then there is the fact we have these justices that --if they choose the remain seated -- will probably outlive Queen Elizabeth's age (whenever she may die). Even then, the seats might not be replaced in accord to balance...So, in fact, we seem to be doomed for a decade at least... gonk

I still don't like how he handled the hurricane. People got mad at Nero for fiddleing while a city burned, and Bush vacationd while cities were distroyed.
