__Logging in as J a y M e r l i n and A c o l y t e.
Jay sat in the cafe he had taken to stopping by most days on his way back from the community gallery, he ordered his favourite drink and a slice of carrot cake. He took his favourite seat by the window, just to the side of the door in one of the coffee chair tables. He was comfy, simply reviewing his notes from the gallery and sipping at his drink.
'phwee'
Jay looked down at his bag and sighed, wondering when he had agreed to look after Acolyte for Hae-Eun. He plucked the orb out of his bag and set it on the table, turning to his scribbled notes. "Behave." He instructed the orb quietly, just enjoying the fresh day.

Efren walked lazily into the cafe, seating himself in a rather languid manner and gazing around with attentive green eyes before ordering some tea. He quietly removed the orb he had from its place in his backpack and set it carefully on the table, finding it a little unfair to have left the thing in such a dark place.
"Now..." Efren murmured quietly to the orb, "Should I call in sick today or go to work?" It was an idle question. Something an inatimate object could easily be asked. Not that it would answer readably for someone like Efren. "I thought so." He added drily after the orb had vibrated slightly, playing with a strand of hair he'd dyed green the other day out of utter boredom.
"I don't feel like playing with anyone's hair today. What shall we do, Wilson?" Efren continued idly, as if the small orb on his table could answer. He didn't care if anyone was looking at him oddly by now. He'd accepted his insanity! Still, sometimes he felt as if he might as well be on a deserted island with a best friend that was a volleyball. Except for the fact that he totally didn't have a disgusting scraggly beard and bathed every day, of course.

Jay grimaced when he realised his drink had no sugar in it and got up, leaving Acolyte to happily roll around the table as he went back to the counter to retrieve some packets of sugar. He hoped the hyper-active Orb behaved for two seconds, but Acolyte had other ideas when it spotted another orb a few tables along.
It rolled itself off the round wooden table and bounced along the floor, gaining height as it drew closer until it landed right in front of Efren and the orb with a loud shrill of happiness. Jay spun round and stared at his empty table, eyes scanning the place for Acolyte. "Acolyte?!" he called nervously. Crap, he couldn't have lost him!

Efren had just began drinking his tea when it happened. He gawped at the orb that had landed in front of him, spilling his tea on the table and narrowly missing falling completely backwards in his seat. "I-wh-huu--WHAT THE HELL." Efren managed, making a face at the two orbs before him. Both seemed to be rather active. "Another one..." Efren whined rather helplessly, taking a few napkins to try and clean up his table.
His own orb seemed to react quite well to the visitor. It bounced lightly up and down and even seemed to make a few noises. "Maybe I should go to work today." Efren complained to himself. "I might need to pay for a therapist with my next paycheck."

Jay knew exactly where Acolyte was when he heard someone shout and weaved past a couple of tables towards the startled man, all set to apologise and pass Acolyte off as a malfunctioning toy when he saw it. This man had one too. He slowed his steps, eyes widening a little before he realised Acolyte had caused trouble and rushed forward.
" I'm so sorry! I only stepped away for one minute! " He apologised, swooping his hands down to grab Acolyte. He pocketed the orb in the front of his jacket, despite the orbs protest at being riped away from his new friend. " I'll go buy you another tea. "

Efren sort of just stared as the person came over to collect the orb and deposited it in their jacket. "Uh." Efren started, finding the whole situation rather odd. Yet another person with an orb; he'd only met one other and she'd been beyond odd, but this one actually looked rather normal.
"It's fine." Efren replied in a rather courteous manner. "Torment the insane man with inatimate objects that move. That's right." Efren spoke somewhat dramatically. "He was going to take work off today but it looks like he'll need his paycheck for the therapist!" Efren amused himself while keeping a straight face.

Fiero was wandering town again. He did this when Korea was in classes because it was a more dynamic activity than watching television or reading and because his efforts to contact Lysander again had been utterly unsuccessful and were therefore frustrating. He would have visited Invidia, but she was learning ASL much faster than he was, and so he was frequently unable to understand her, and didn't like having to have Wendell translate. So he wandered.
And he wandered into a cafe. He had money - Korea gave him an allowance - and he understood how currency worked, so he knew he would encounter no difficulties. Even his trailing ribbons wouldn't pose problems. Since meeting Holly when he was young he had been practicing controlling his ribbons, and as a corsea he was able to coax his ribbons into pantlegs and with thought he could move them in emulation of walking. His gait was, therefore, a bit odd, being more gliding than walking, but most people didn't notice that he had no feet to touch the ground. Humans could be very unobservant.
He was unsure why he had been drawn to this particular cafe until he had a sensation which he had learned meant he was near to another creature of the Underground. Instinctively he turned to where a man was speaking dramatically. He had an orb such as Fiero, himself, had once been.
"I beg your pardon," Fiero interrupted, "But how long ago did you receive your orb?" He hadn't noticed Acolyte yet.
Hope it's okay that I'm posting here?

__Logging in as J a y M e r l i n and A c o l y t e.
Jay found himself utterly dumbstruck when the other male talked, a confused and worried expression painted across his face. Was it really that bad? Jay was the type to take things literally, he generally wore his heart on his sleeve and his eyes were like windows. He found it hard to hide himself. "Uhm..." He spoke in a feeble voice, wondering what to say. "I doubt....you'd need therapy...you seem, uh, sane enough?" He asked in a voice that was trying to convey some sort of comfort.
He heard Acolyte trill happily and the orb bounded out of his sleeve, Jay looked at the orb now once again perched on the table and then around as a new voice spoke. Another person? He looked him over, his eyes freezing at the hem of his trousers. "Ah..." He said, rather randomly.

Efren glanced over as a voice other than that of the person he'd been talking to sounded. "It's always been there. In my mind." He replied darkly, just to prove his obvious insanity. He knew perfectly well he'd found it a month or so ago, but it was fun to have 'lost it'. He patted the orb, which had started to roll around the table a little hecticly; not something to truly pay attention to.
He now looked to Jay. "You see? I'm a madman!" He warbled, continuing his dramatic streak. Maybe he should have taken up acting instead of hairdressing, though he couldn't really fool those who knew him.

Fiero was largely unconvinced. It was more likely that the man was melodramatic than that he was actually insane. However, he couldn't help being amused by his claim that his orb had always been there...in his mind.
"You're quite impressive as a madman," he said placatingly, but unable to totally suppress his grin. "When did it become a physical manifestation?"
His gaze fell briefly on a second orb and his eyes widened. Two of them? Was there some sort of secret society, or were orb owners naturally drawn to each other? How fascinating and mysterious. He was dying to learn more.

Jay had the distinct impression that he had just met the most confusing person to own an orb yet. He simply sat down in a chair at Efren's table, looking from Fiero to Efren. Today was eventful, he needed to go pick up his notes. Thus he slipped away and grabbed them, his drink and his bag before coming back.
"Uhm, well since we're all talking..." Jay said, finding it odd to talk without knowing the name of who he was talking to. "Mine name is Jay and the orb is called Acolyte." He was honestly just trying to pass over Efren's madness really.

Fiero shrugged. It wasn't really all that important when Efren had gotten his orb. He was simply curious. Jay seemed like the sort of person who would be able to give him more useful information anyway. He was intrigued and curious about his origins. His tantalysing conversation with Lysander had merely made him keener to learn more.
"I'm Fiero Corazon. I believe I'm what's known as a corsea." He addressed himself to Acolyte as well as to Jay when he said, "It's my pleasure to meet you."

Efren looked to Fiero dryly. "Oh, not too long ago. You know how those things go. Sort of like my pet elephant." Ef sent a swift yet calm glare to Jay as he wasn't awknowledged as deranged by the other. He nearly lived for attention.
"I think my name is Efren. And this is Wilson. Like in Castaway." He added, for he'd be irritated if they didn't understand his madness. He doubted either of them had even seen the film, either! Poor Wilson. He and the orb were the only one who knew. "The world is so tragic!" Efren explained in self-pity.
