Misaki continued on her journey, it had been days since she last saw another Soquili. Her travel had taken her far from the land she had come to know as 'home', even though now she walked on familiar soil. Her long strands of black hair whipped as the winds picked up, she snorted slighty as it tickled the inside of her nose.
She stopped for a moment, taking the time to enjoy the scene that surrounded her. Familiar, yet so strange. Was this the land she once remembered?
Misaki's red wrap gently tapped her leg as the wind caught it, a gentle sign that she should keep moving. Slowly she walked, one foot before the other. She had no place to be in a hurry...in fact, she really had no place to be at all now. Ironic?

 Mel wandered through the fields, enjoying the fairly nice weather. The warm sun mixed with a cool breeze was a perfect mixture. If only it could be like that all the time, 24/7. But nooo there had to be a warm time and a freezing time. These warm days meant he could roam around more without being hindered but rain or even snow. Which also meant that he could meet more people which was happening a lot more lately. His good friend, Porsche, and his other friend he met recently, Setsumi.
Out in the distance a slow moving figure caught his eye. Ironic but she looked so close to his mother he almost called out to her. But that tail was all wrong, the hair color too and what was that ting around her neck? Sure not his mother.

With the wind blowing so, Misaki didn't hear the footsteps in the distance. She thought to herself, believing to still be in solitude. She couldn't remember how long it was that she had been gone...It had definately been a number of years though. She was still a foal the last time her hooves were on these grounds.
Misaki glanced over the horizon, she almost missed him. In the distance, her eyes caught a glimpse of blue that didn't belong. She moved slowly a bit closer, making out the clear image of a stallion.
Misaki, not having a mean bone in her body, called out to him in greeting. She was happy to see another Soquili, finally. "Hello! Merry met to you!"

Mel just blinked a bit at the strange way she said things but shook his head and started towards her. "Hi. My name's Mel, it's good to meet you miss." He bowed his head a bit and then noticed she had a horn. Just like his friend Porsche! "Your horn's pretty cool, I met someone that had one of those once. I've never seen anything like this before though," he said as he motioned with his head towards the red piece of cloth that draped around her. "Is it supposed to keep you warm or something? 'Cause if that's the case you'll probably get way too hot during the summer."

Misaki was pleased that the soquili was friendly. She had gotten herself in many a prediciments by greeting strangers that were far less enjoyable.
She smiled and lowered her head in greeting, She laughed softly at his remark about her wrap. "I'm Misaki, and thank you." She quickly looked back to her red wrap and replied, "No, it's a gift from a friend of mine. She gave it to me before I left on my journey...to remember her." She had thought of her friends back in the East plenty while she had been traveling, but she didn't regret coming 'home'.
Misaki glanced over the stallions markings and smiled, "You must be a kindred spirit. Few have the blessing of the lotus."

"That was nice of your friend, you two must have been really good friends. But why did she want you to remember her? Did she leave or something?," he asked curiously. Mel just blinked at her again at what she said and tilted his head. "Kindred spirit? ...Lotus? ..I don't have one single clue as to what you're talking about. You might have to explain it to me." This mare sure was strange in the way she talked. Or actually it was just what she talked about that was weird. He wondered if her friends talked like her too, if they had some special group that they just sat around in and talked about spirits and lotus'.....Nah.

"No, no. Quite the other way around," she smiled and took a moment to look around, "I'm the one who left. I've a journey to finish." She looked back to Mel as he explained his confusion.
"Forgive me, I forget that these parts aren't like the East." She took a few steps forward, pointing to his markings with her horn. "Lotus flowers." She looked back up to him. "Very few of our kind have the markings of a lotus. It's a beautiful gift." She tilted her head at him and laughed, "You still dont' understand, do you?"

Mel just shook his head and laughed. "No not really. I just know that I got these markings from my mother. My brother and sister got similiar markings too. She never told us about the lotus flower...thing. Why is it such a great gift though? I mean, they're just markings after all, they dont do anything." He shrugged a bit and swished his large braid of a tail back and forth.
"A journey? Like an adventure? What are you looking for?" Adventures and exploring were always exciting for him. He always found something new or someone new to play with.

"You must come from a beautiful family." Misaki smiled and pondered his question. "There's no 'power' in the markings persay....But it's a symbol of peace and wisdom." She thought of how to explain things...or if it would even be beneficial to this stallion. His family obviously wasn't into the same way of life that Misaki was. "Nevermind." She offered a friendly smile.
"Yes, like an adventure I suppose." she laughed and continued. "I was born in lands not far from here. Past that mountain range..." She nodded toward a mountain range -far- on the horizon. "I've not returned there in many moon stages. I hope to find my family again..."

"I'd say we're a good looking family. Very blue thanks to my dad but colorful too thanks to mom. The symbol of these flowers definitely sounds like my mother. She's a very peaceful person and she's pretty wise as far as I'm concerned. I think the wisdom part skipped me though," he said with a laugh. Talking about his family made him miss them all the more, especially his sister Tuli. They were the closest by far since Karma wasn't a lovey dovey person...Or one to show any emotion at all.
"I wish you luck with finding your family. You must miss them a lot to want to travel so far to see them again. I'd help if I could but what're the chances that I'd actually know who you were looking for."

Misaki laughed a bit at his wisdom remark and smiled, "Mel, I'm sure you have plenty of wisdom. You, just may not realize it yet."
The sun was moving further down in the sky, Misaki needed to keep going. "I appreciate the luck, I'll need it I'm afraid. Looking for a single soquili in a land of many is going to be hard. Take care, Mel. Remember, you are blessed."
She offered one last smile to the stallion then began to make her way toward the mountain range. She wanted to get as far as she could before sun down.
