It was fairly late in the day, just before evening, when Celebor and Niyana returned to the Seconds world. They had both been nervous about meeting Celebor's family and telling them the news that Celebor had found a mate in a very short period of time, but on the whole it had gone over quite well.
"So," he smiled at Niyana, squeezing her hand softly as they walked through the long grass to where they had spent the past week, "do you feel better now? Mom obviously likes you, and Jair already adores you ... and Lore ..."

Niyana passed threw the protal and her legs almost gave out feeling more alive back in her world. But she smiled at Celebor as she walked along the grass in the golden evening.
"Your mother is a very beautiful person...inside and out. And I love your new little brother he is a sweet little thing." She laughs, "You might have compition when he grows up." she winked at him and laughed warmly, "Are you sure you didn't want to pick up some clothes first?"
She would have to go hunt some animals and make him some nice leather clothes and show she would not be a completely useless wife.

Celebor chuckled. "Oh, I'm sorry, did you want me to put some more clothes on? I thought we both liked me like this," he teased her, leaning over to kiss her cheek. "Besides, it's always so beautiful here, I really don't think it's necessary."
His eyes sparkled as he took her hand once more and led her through the tall grasses. "I'm glad you love my family," he said warmly, "but let me tell you, if I have to compete against my little brother there may be trouble." He winked at her, then laughed again.

Niyana laughed, "Oh but I do love you like that...in fact I like you in allot less." she smiles at him and allowed him to lead her. "Man I really think I need a nap now...let that adrenaline finally ease out of me."
She raised a brow, "Oh would you know? I guess your not into sharing? Or letting me teach him things?" She teased him. "Don't worry my lord your the only one I have eyes for and your the only one my body calls for." She smiled and leaned forward to kiss his shoulder.

Celebor's eyes lit up at her teasing, and he had to fight the urges of his body. There was something he had to do first ...
"Why don't you take a nap, then?" he suggested softly. "I need to do something very quickly first anyways, I can wake you when I come back. I won't be long, I promise you that."
When she kissed his shoulder, he leaned his head down and kissed her on the nose.
"Patience, my princess," he murmured softly, his lips lingering on her nose. "Just give me a while ... rest your weary body ... and then ..."

She raised a brow and placed her hands on her hips. "Why do I have a feeling your keeping something from me Celebor? None of your siblings are here right now so I know it is not one of them you are going to see."
She took his hand. "Come on why don't you just rest with me. You were just as nervous...about your family at least." She smiled and moved behind him, moving her arms under his she very lightly drew her fingers up his stomach and chest as she rested her head on his back. "Any time away from you is a long time my lord. Besides...I am sorry I bowed to them...and I kept almost calling your mother miss, or ma'am...or my lady." she was holding him not for a lust factor but more for comfort.

Celebor chuckled and put his arms around her, pulling her close and leaning his forehead against hers.
"You are quite intuitive," he grinned at her. "Yes, I freely admit that I am hiding something from you. But only for a short while longer ... as much as I would love to rest with you ... believe me when I say that if you rest alone and let me finish this, you will not be disappointed."
He pressed his lips against her brow.
"Come now, my princess, rest your weary body, and it will seem as though I were never gone ... because if I don't do this, I can't give you the surprise that I have been planning for ever so long."

Niyana felt bad. She hadn't done anything for him. She sighed and let him go. "If you wish...I wont hold you back from finishing your surprise but I wont rest...I am not that weary I just thought it would be nice for us to rest together."
She shrugs, "But I guess I am getting a little slow mentally in my old age." She laughed and sighs, "I wont follow you...but I guess I will go get us some dinner."

Celebor smiled and released her, nodding slowly. "Yes ... that does sound wonderful," he said warmly. "And when you've found something ... don't bring it back here. There's a grove of trees that I found earlier this week, just a little west of here. You can't miss it, they're huge trees, they're growing almost in a circle ... meet me there. I promise that by the time you arrive, I will have everything ready for you."
He held up one finger to stop her before she left and started rooting around through his bag. "But before you go," he murmured, "the first part ..."
And he pulled out a bronze chain necklace with a cartouche hanging from it, his name engraved in the medallion. His eyes shining brightly, he reached forward and hung it around Niyana's neck.
"For you," he murmured, leaning over to kiss her on the lips, a slow, loving kiss that spoke of admiration and promise.

Niyana tried to think if she had seen the tree he was talking about before and she vaguely remembered seeing them in the distance wail she wandered the meadows before. "Alright I will meet you there." She turned to go but she saw his raise one elegant orange finger up and she turned back to face him watching him rummage around.
Her eyes went wide as he pulled out the beautiful bronze chain and medallion. "Celebor I can't accept something so beautiful..." She said as he moved to place it around her neck. She didn't stop him. She hadn't worn jewelry since she was a teen when she decided maybe she should not try to be feminine because any male she met (though they were always children) never showed interest in her. They were more into falling in love with each other.
"Celebor you are too good for me...you really shouldn't do so much for me...I..I have no way to pay you back my lord."

Celebor smiled and kissed her again.
"It's not a purchase, Niyana," he murmured softly. "It's a gift. A part of me that can always be with you, even when I am not, and when the paint wears off of your face."
His lips moved to her cheekbone and he kissed her once again softly.
"Now," he murmured, "you go find us some dinner, and I will meet you in the grove as soon as you're ready."
And he smiled at her and moved off towards the west before he could get any more distracted.

Niyana looked up at him her cheek flushed and she smiles just nodding because she was speechless. She kissed him back and nods, "Alright....I...I will see you soon my lord."
She turned and moved off south east. She could not believe he had given her a gift. And she had nothing for him. Well dinner would just have to be really special then.

Celebor smiled warmly to himself as he moved swiftly to the grove of trees in the west. He had discovered them one night when Niyana had been asleep and he had felt restless, and he hadn't been able to believe how perfect it had been. A circle of trees that had been hiding a sizable cave.
He had decided then and there that he would turn it into a home for Niyana, and each and every night after that he had snuck back there to work on it a little bit more - he had managed to make a fireplace in the mouth of the cave, and woven a mattress out of the long grasses of the field, carefully carving shelves and the like out of the stone walls, carving a short table that they could kneel beside out of some wood that he had found. All that had been left to finish were the details - a blanket for the bed so that they wouldn't have to worry about the grass scratching them as they slept (or did other things), pillows for comfort, and just the small touches to make it a real home.
That was what he was doing now. He had taken his enormous blanket from home, and he spread it over the bed as a cover. Niyana also had a blanket that they could use to put over top of them as they slept, so that was fine.
He also had his collection of books and writing tools, which he put onto some of the shelves that he had carved out.
He put his vase in a safe place where it would be almost like a display, and then looked around. He had put his bag next to one wall, and he nodded. Yes, it was ready.
Then he headed out to the grove of trees to wait.

Niyana reached up and stroked the medallion around her neck as she moved threw the field and into the trees. He really was too good to her. She tired to work out something she could do for him.
As soon as she hit the woods even with her mind not working her body moved into a hunt mood. She moved near silently her eyes searching as she pulled a dagger from her herb gathering pouch.
She spotted a young deer. She slowly moved in closer just taking her time. She didn't know what Celebor's surprise was but she figured she should give him time. She flipped her blade into a backwards grip and she moved in for the kill.
She sighed after having killed the young deer she looked up to see a mother cougar and three cubs. She sighed, "Alright you can have most of it...sorry for ruining your lesson." She bowed her head and cut a enough of the tender meat for two and then left the rest for the cats. She backed up and hid to make sure that the meat would be not wasted.
As she watched the mother and cubs she remembered Celebor's family and felt something stir deep inside of her. She sighed and moved off grabbing a couple large palm frawn leaves. She wrapped the meet and moved to gather some seasoning herbs and fruit for their meal. She tried to keep her hand from rubbing the bronze around her neck and thinking about a family.
