Booooooouuuuu! Have you seen Yuzuki's wings? They're like massive! Though, really who needs wings? Apparating is so much easier! Flying is so very slow, isn't it? Right?"

Usually, Hiroyuki would bother Harumi, but unfortunately, her sister was nowhere to be found. "Wings are boring. I mean like, they get dirty, and then you'll have to clean them. Imagine dirt being stuck between those feathers! You could knock someone's head off with those things!" She skidded to a halt in front of one of the rooms, spotting her brother...with "those things".

"Well, s**t. You have them too?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Inside the room a pure white, newly adult male kitsu lay beneath the weight of what seemed to be an enormous pair of red-to-gold wings which he looked at dully. Not quite dully... more abjectly. Something to be studied and understood. Now how had this happened? Oh... he was not against the appendages. Not at all. They were part of himself and therefore would prove useful. Somehow. Right now they were a little awkward however. And quite surprising too.

At least they were attractive things and matched his tails and fluff-wrap.

...he needed a better name for his fluff-wrap-thing. 'Fluff-wrap' was really so... juvenile. Something Takashi would say...

Hearing his older sister's voice Bou sighed softly and attuned his senses but sight to her as she clamored about the house. If she wanted him, she could easily find him. It was not like he was hiding. Today at any rate.

"Profanity does not become you, Hiroyuki. But yes: I have 'them' too." Lifting a wing a little awkwardly Bou frowned lightly as he turned to face his sister. He was tempted to... NO. He was no longer a kit. Batting his sister's tassels Boujima would leave to their baby brother.

"And yes, Apparating is faster. I had thought to walk the earth as Father did but it appears Grandmother Nari's legacy has given me another option."

"Well, I'm sorry. I couldn't help it." His older sister pouted, and bounded into the room, staring at his reddish-gold wings with wide eyes. "But really. Okaa-sama and Otou-sama don't have wings either. It's just...so weird!" She lay down on the floor, resting her head on his fluff-wrap-thing, staring up at him with a grin.

"Well, flying is slow. And what if it rains?" Hiroyuki didn't seem to mind at all that she didn't get wings like her sister and brother had. On the other hand, she found wings boring. They looked nice, but that was all. "It's going to be a lot of trouble to keep those clean." She eyed them and reached out a paw to stroke them. Obviously, the oldest of the batch was still in one of her childish moods.

Golden eyes lit a little as Bou watched his sister bound into the room. The tassels... were swinging with Hiro's movement. Forcing his eyes away Boujima looked down at her, huffing softly with resignation at both her childishness & that she was on his fluff. Not that he could blame Hiroyuki... it was quite comfortable.

"Flying can be faster and certainly more graceful then walking however, Onee-san." Another sigh as she stroked his wings and he nearly purred into the motion. It felt... good. Confound it all. "If I keep them preened the natural oils of my wings will serve as a protection. I shall actually be more waterproof now if I can use my wings as a cover than I was before."

He shifted, his paw now revealing the book that had been half hidden before him. Birds & wing care. At some point Bou had visited one of the libraries or -more likely than not in such an instance- resorted to a rare use of wizard magic and 'accio'ed the required book to his person. "As for Okaa-sama and Otou-sama... Okaa-sama must have carried recessive traits for wings from Obaasan." It was hard not to let his eyes lid at the touch on his wings. Boujima sighed softly again. "And Otou-sama is a youkai. Wolf yes, but when mixing with other bloods who knows what can happen."

Bou let his eyes lid, letting his relaxation to the stroking of his wings hopefully appear to be thoughtful contemplation. Confound his family! Always able to unbalance him like this! "We are fortunate none of us have Ojiisan's moon-madness or some of the negative mixings of our cousins' blood." Yes... Boujima had been keeping an ear out to what had been going on with their Aunt Ayako's & Uncle Saix's brood. Easy enough, when popping over to their grandfather's great library for a book or the magic studies required of all wizarding pups. Well... required of all of Vynnessia's at least. Bou had also noticed how Aunt Lily's eldest forgo his wizard blood for Alchemy -not even seeing if he had magic or not. Sure... he preferred to eschew using magic, but Bou at least learned what he could.

To each their own... He thought without much feeling either way, a soft purr threatening to emerge within him. Confound it. "Perhaps, but I will keep them clean regardless."

For some reason, Hiroyuki was happy. Happy and content to be grown up, to see her siblings all grown too, and just to be here, relaxing with her brother.

She laughed. She had almost thought he would pull his wing away from her. Boujima was always wanting to be clean. Not that she could blame him; Hiroyuki didn't mind getting dirty only after she had learned cleaning spells. "Whatever, otouto. I'd probably get stuck in a tree if I had those anyway." She wasn't exactly clumsy, but whenever she was out adventuring, she just seemed to have a knack for getting dirty somehow.

Being white didn't really help either.

"Ah yes..." Her face drooped at the mention of their cousins. Hiroyuki was quite close to their Aunt Ayako; perhaps it was because Ayako had said that she was quite the genius with magic and that they shared the same tiara. "It's sad. Sometimes I wish all this genetic things weren't so crazy. It gets into a lot of confusion sometimes." She used her other paw to gingerly touch the white hazel wand tucked behind her ear. "It makes the parents so...worried sometimes. Come to think of it, parents can't ever take a break, can they? From worrying about their kids, I mean."

"You should learn some cleaning spells, otouto." Her face lit up happily. "It's really easy." To Hiroyuki, the genius, of course. The witch was extremely proficient in learning spells, already using non-verbal spells when she was a teen.

"..." Boujima nodded, faint & thoughtful. Genetics got into a lot of confusion. And parents. He ignored Hiroyuki's reference to her faults. No point of it when already known. "No. They cannot." He said very, very softly.

Golden eyes opened and a pure white ear perked. Cleaning spells? Now how had he missed those? Sigh. They were probably not in the usual regimen of what Okaa-sama & Ojiisan thought useful wizarding magic. He had been secretly jealous of his cousin Aurum's ability to clean with her Alchemy... why had he not thought to look into a magical equivalent. "I should."

hmmm... learn to control & use his wings first or learn cleaning spells? The spells. Learning to fly was sure to get him dirty. "Do you know some? Well enough to teach them to me?"

She sighed again. "It makes me think that we should never be parents. Just remain carefree." Then again, her family didn't seem to have as much troubles as Aunt Ayako's.

She looked up at him and giggled at his reaction. Hiroyuki was rather surprised that her brother had not known of cleaning spells, what with his obsession of being clean. "You don't know, otouto? I expected better." She scrunched up her face in mock anger for a moment, then replaced it with a grin.

He was questioning her?! Why would she tell him if she didn't know? True, Hiroyuki spent most of her time reading about mythical creatures, but still! "I'm offended, otouto. Have you forgotten who you're talking to?" She teased. "Why else do you think I come home so clean after each adventure? Without those spells, I'd be tracking mud all over the place by now! And Okaa-sama and Otou-sama wouldn't be pleased with that."

Have no parents? That seemed a foolhardy solution. Besides... if Boujima let himself think it so it was almost nice knowing there was always someone who cared enough to worry. When he was not being foolishly independent and pretending he did not need or want his family & their company. Not that Boujima would likely ever admit such a need.

His moment of happy excitement slipped into a dark cloud as did his expression, a frown turning his face as he looked away. Sunset tails flicked in agitation -more at himself than his sister- and white ears pressed painfully to hold auburn hair forcefully against his head. Bou did not appreciate being teased OR mocked. "Just because you know them does not mean you can teach them, Onee-san." The younger brother responded coolly. As with her faults, he was not about to speak of his own. Yes... he should have known the cleaning spells or at least looked into them by now. Bou did not appreciate that oversight on his part to be pointed out so harshly. Was it not bad enough he had not had the spells' usefulness all this time? Did Hiroyuki have to rub his negligence in?

"Awwww, I was just teasing, otouto." She got up, frowning. Figures that he would be offended at such a thing when they both were in such a content mood.

She sat down on her haunches in front of him, playing with her yellow tassels as she talked. "You don't know me enough, then." Hiroyuki said simply. This was the shortest she had ever talked...or so it seemed. "Really, learning is easy. You just follow what the teacher does, or the book says. Scourgify is a really helpful cleaning spell. It even gets dried mud off!" White tails waggled in glee.

"I didn't say anything about my ability to learn." Scoff. Really. Just because he did not throw himself into learning wizard magic...

Golden eyes fell on the sway of tassels, unnaturally riveted. No... Must not ... watch... Can't ... reach... out. Boujima held himself in check quite forcefully, continuing to attempt to draw his eyes from how Hiro was playing with the tassels of her vest. His entire body was tense from it. Not that he acknowledged it, still trying to play it cool. Suave. Sensible. NOT playing. That was how Otou-sama was. "Fine. Scourgify. I'll start with that."

He made no move to reach for the wand in the pocket of his black pants however. No move at all but for the pendulum motion of frowning eyes and the irritated flick of sunset tails.

Confounded tassels and their temptation.

"Neither did I." She shot back, sticking out her tongue at him slightly. "Honestly, otouto, you shouldn't be so uptight. Relax. Stop and smell the flowers. Get dirty every once in a while. It's quite fun, really."

"Yay!" She clapped her paws together. "See, that's the spirit!" She reached out behind her ear to take her wand and brandish it at him playfully. "En garde! Alright, let's get back to business. It's really quite easy. It just takes a flick of your wrist and 'Scorgify!' " She paused. "Damn, there's nothing dirty here. This won't do! ...Otouto?" She blinked, peering at her brother in concern. "If you're gonna learn, you need your wand."
PostPosted: Mon May 19, 2008 8:39 am

Really? But she... 'learning is easy' she said. Grr... maybe Hiroyuki was right and he was a little too uptight.

Boujima stared as tassels swayed with his sister's almost flamboyant movements. "Language..." He muttered automatically as Hiro swore, then he winced in face only to find himself beneath her scrutiny. Oh no! Had she...?!?

The white furred male breathed a sigh of relief. It appeared his older sister had not noticed his foolish battle with the temptation of batting her tassels. "Ah yes. Wand." Giving himself a slight shake Boujima reached to his pocket. Better to have Hiroyuki think whatever she might be of him than for her to know the truth. Most likely. Wrapping his paw around his wand Bou shifted to hold it in place and frowned as his wings nearly toppled him over. Glancing over his shoulder he looked at the unwieldy things. Hmm... Concentrating, Bou folded first one and then the other against his back & sides. The muscles and thoughts to move them as he wished were not fully developed -he tended to forget they were there. Hmm. From above he would look all red & gold. Interesting. With a shrug he turned back to Hiroyuki, wand at the ready.

"I suppose we must find something dirty then?" The male asked in a resigned manner, barely suppressing a shudder. Maybe they could find something else dirty before his sister had the charming idea of testing it on themselves. On top of simply not wanting to get dirty, Bou was uncertain with the control of his wings how well he would be able to keep either of them from getting hurt. He did not look forward to what was apt to be some very embarrassing learning with his wings. It was something Boujima hoped to do on his own. Alone.

"Tssh." She sighed, white tails swishing. So she swore every once in a while. What was wrong with that? At least she wasn't being a barbarian, or uncivilised, for that matter. Hiroyuki knew exactly how to be a lady...well, for most of the time.

Sometimes, really.

"Right! Which means...we'll have to go out." Eyes sparkled mischeiviously. Dragging her brother out on an adventure! Oh, how fun! "I don't think there's a spot in this house that's unclean, really. There's a higher probability of finding something dirty outside." Or, if they couldn't...she was bound to get dirty anyway. "Soooo, out we go!" Before her brother could protest, Hiroyuki wrapped her tails around one of his paws and Apparated.
PostPosted: Tue May 27, 2008 12:09 pm

Oh no. Not that... look.

Too late Boujima felt the magic of side by side apparating. Oh, he did not detest it. No... his mother had taught him better than that. However he did much prefer a little more security in the matter. At least a warning...

Although anything with his sister should have been warning enough after their conversation.

Confound it.

At least Hiroyuki was good at her magic. Better than good really, Boujima had to confess. Inside, at least. Like his sister's faults Bou did not feel her strengths needed to be mentioned. It was not like they both did not know. The red-haired white kitsu huffed softly and lightly shook himself out, repositioning his 'fluff' while he did so. "Nothing wrong with our paws."

It was said softly. Blandly. In fact... Boujima knew there was something wrong -with him at least. It was probably best his elder sibling had done what she did, though he would likely not admit it. His wings... Boujima knew he was not yet accustomed to them. The simple act of walking through the house likely would have made a fool of him. In truth, he should be thanking his sister for sparing him the embarrassment.

Maybe he would if this did not prove more so. Likely not, as it simply was not his style.

Golden eyes glanced around them. "Where do you propose we start cleaning." Would a cleaning spell work on the out-of-doors even, Boujima wondered. It was full of chaos. Surely nature would not appreciate the order of cleanliness upon it.

"Apparating's faster." She replied. She was still close to him when they appeared in the outside, and heard what he said, but by no means was Hiroyuki offended. It would take a lot for her to get offended by family, especially her parents and siblings.

She let go of his paw, tails wagging happily at the success of bringing her brother outside the house. Outside! Where there were many possibilities of getting dirty very easily. Oh, she must tell Harumi this when they got back.

"We can't just clean the grass...and you'd throw a fit if I tried to dirty you. Don't worry, I won't try it." She grinned at him. Though if he got dirty himself, that was his problem. She tapped her wand on her chin, thinking. "I know! How 'bout we start small? Like...uh...a tassel!" She wiggled one with a paw. "The problem is how I'm gonna get just a tassel dirty. It's not easy, y'know."
