Namini and David Nao, Chloe Star and Roux Location: Hospital Status: Complete? - - - - - David's stormy eyes were now lined with red as he paced the hospital lobby impatiently, cursing now and again. The woman he had been with hours previous was nowhere to be seen and the turbulent man muttered how it was her fault, knowingly trying to redirect the blame to someone unassociated with the situation. How could he have been so stupid! David let out a frustrated growl, startling a nearby nurse who was then calmed with his apologetic eyes, before turning his attention to the clock again. Why was time going so slow? Pulling a slip of paper from his pocket, he glanced over the first line of information again: Chloe Star Receptionist and Assistant/Raevan Owner (xxx) xxx-xxxx Should he call her again? Maybe..maybe she got lost..Was the woman really coming?! Would she really know what to do with this glowing bottle? Glancing over the mysterious suitcase, David swallowed reality hard and reluctantly. No. He had to trust her. He had to believe that someone would be able to answer some of his questions. The clock read only 5 minutes. Oh, time seemed to be going so slow..

"H-Here we are..." Chloe looked up at the hospital, unable to keep back the anxiety that she'd long ago associated with the public building. Not many people enjoyed hospitals, Chloe was no acception. She glanced sidelong toward Roux, reaching out to lightly touch the fluffy fur along his shoulders. "Th-There will be a lot of people here... suh-so please b-be careful and b-b-be polite."
Roux shrugged her hand away, his expression incredibly annoyed. He hated it when she spoke to him as though he were still a Frei... a child. He floated ahead of her, pushing through the double doors first and leaving a small smattering of frost on the window, roughly in the shape of a hand. Roux floated down the hallway into the open room of the lobby first, glancing around moodily. People sat in chairs looking either very anxious, very afraid, or neutral.
"A-Ah! Roux!" The receptionist hurried after him, reaching his side and giving an apologetic 'S-Sorry!' to everyone in the immediate area.
There was someone she was supposed to be looking for, though... David Nao. She glanced around the lobby and realized she wasn't sure what he looked like. There were a few men in the lobby at the moment. She stood frozen, hands coming up in front of her to figit with the front of the labcoat she wore nervously.
"D.....David?" She spoke down to the floor, cheeks flushed as she hoped that if he was here he'd hear her.. and if he wasn't that nobody would think her crazy.

Ten minutes, and now, David was at the brink. She said she wouldn't be too long but ten minutes had already passed! Was today just not his day? Did something happen to his one hope for emotional relief? He threw himself into an uncomfortable chair, hands covering his face in absolute distress as a soft murmur echoed throughout the small lobby. Whatever. These people were probably just complaining about how late it was. Where could Ms. Star be?
That's when a skittish cry reached his ears. David peered out from behind his fingers and immediately, his grey eyes locked onto the intimidating silhouette floating in front of him. He stared in awe, slowly taking in how...cool the Raevan looked. Such stern but alluring features, piercing eyes. David had almost abandoned his current state of depression until his eyes flickered over the woman who, he guessed, had emitted the nervous yelp. Her blue eyes were incredibly similar to his sister's, in physical appearance and in emotional appeal, and instantly, David felt his feelings of concern hit him once again. This was no time to be gawking over Raevans and feeling down on himself!
Jumping to his feet, he bowed humbly to the majestic pair, and keeping his gaze glued to the floor, flooded her with his gratitude, "Thank you so much for coming to see me at such a late hour. I truly appreciate it and I think I am in a position to say that my sister is also thankful for your arrival."
Standing erect David then pulled the briefcase out from under his seat and offered it to Chloe, his eyes still fixed to the intriguing tiles beneath their feet. "Um.. I was wondering if..." He hated situations like this but, swallowing his pride, David hesitantly turned his eyes to meet Chloe's. "I was wondering if you could answer a few questions about this briefcase."

Chloe looked down at the suitcase, startled at the sudden reaction from the stranger. This must be David.
"A-Ah..." She reached out unconsciously to take hold of the briefcase. Already it was entirely too familiar, though... she'd recieved one of these as well, so long ago. "It's f-from Lab305, isn't it?" She looked up, finding herself unable to help but fall under the sway of David's anxiety.
Roux drifted slowly closer to Chloe, peering down at the strange man with a haughty expression. He remained silent for the moment as he shifted, arms crossing over his chest.

Releasing his tight grip on the leather handle, David's face returned to his signature frown and indifferent stare. If this had been any other occasion, the brother would have been gleaming with pride, thankful for such a glorious opportunity, but for now...the briefcase was not that important.
"Yes," he replied coldly. "It possesses the fel essence -pulling the note from his pocket once again- the inverted flame, and I'm to believe that the ...the soul bottle? has been filled. ...But Ms. Star." David's voice had shifted from an empty tone to that filled with concern and curiosity. Glancing between Roux and Chloe, David continued shamefully, feeling like a pitiful child, forced to hold back his built up frustration and despair.
"Do you.. Would your schedule allow... I am really worried about my sister's health and so, I must have some answers to these questions of mine. Would you be so kind as to spare some time to answer them?"

Chloe balked slightly in the face of David's intensity. She nodded slightly, looking very slightly frightened. "O-Okay... I c-can answer a-a-any question you may h-have." She glanced around, lowering her eyes with a dark flush to her cheeks. Her words were mumbled in her embarassment. "A-Ah.. m-maybe we c-could move someplace a l-l-little more... less crowded."
All eyes were turned to the three, the urgent, intense young man, the nervous, intimidated pink haired woman, and the haughty floating torso.

David felt his entire body relax with Chloe's answer, though it was produced only because of his intimidation tactics. Oh well. Taking note of the pink-haired woman's sudden increase of nervousness and the curious eyes around them, David agreed to their relocation, finally attempting to turn on his ever typical charm. Calmly grinning and repositioning himself as her lead, David gestured her towards a narrow hallway to their left.
"There's a quiet cafeteria we could talk in down here," and in hopes of quieting Chloe's jitters and his remaining ones, David emitted a lighthearted chuckle. "I could get you and your Raevan some coffee or tea too. He looks a little cold."

Chloe followed, her face tilted down to the floor as she held her hands together in front of her anxiously. He was so intense, she hadn't meant to ignore his previous question, she'd just been distracted for a moment when...
"C-Cold? A-Ah... n-no. Th-That's Roux. H-His Fel Essence is Eternal Ice. He enjoys th-the cold, Sir." She let her gaze flicker up toward David before passing back down to the floor once more.
Roux floated beside Chloe, a bored expression on his face. He gave a small, casual wave of his hand. "Ice Tea." It'd been a while since he'd had some.
Timidly Chloe spoke up again. "U-Uhm... I'll p-p-pay for it, thank you." She sighed as they emerged into the more open, far less occupied cafeteria, feeling a little bit more relaxed. "P-Please feel free t-t-to ask any question, S-Sir... I'll d-do my best to a-answer them."

"Eternal Ice? Sounds appropriate," David smirked as if holding back some kind of secret joke he had noticed, before walking towards a comfortably secluded table and drew out two chairs for Chloe and Roux..Though he really wondered if the Raevan would accept or let alone acknowledge his offer. Nonetheless, it was the polite thing to do.
"It's alright Ms. Star, I'll get the drinks. It's the least I can do," he said, flipping out his wallet and looking back up at the nervous woman. "Would you like anything? They have a few slices of cake here as well."

Chloe flushed, sitting down quietly in her offered chair. She shook her head a little bit. "A-Ah.. no. Just water, if you really would like to get me something. Roux w-w-would probably like iced tea, if y-you're offering, though."
She looked back at the cold Sigel, giving a fond smile at the way he tried to look as though he wasn't paying attention to what they were talking about. He was glancing out the window, towards the outside... though maybe he was just looking at his own reflection. Sometimes she wasn't completely sure.
"U-Uhm... what sort of q-questions did you have t-to ask me?"

Nodding in approval at Chloe's choice, David was soon hustling back to the table with two cups, which he placed carefully to avoid spilling. Taking a seat across from her, he attempted a calmed grin, before continuing with their discussion, trying to keep his nerves under control, "Well. This briefcase. I..I know what's in it and I have a slight feeling that my sister knows as well but. What should we do from here? Once we give this briefcase over, what happens?"
He pulled the cold metallic briefcase from his side and, laying it cautiously on the table, clicked it open and hesitantly ran a hand over the innocently glowing soul bottle.
"And if you don't mind me asking but...whatever my sister took the soul from, do you know if it felt any pain?"
Despite his career and numerous experiences with injured and sickly animals, something in the young man always seemed to crumble at the thought of others' pain.

"W-Well... I d-don't know the entire process, Dr. Kyou likes t-to keep that c-c-confidential. I d-do know that he'll take both elements... s-soul and essence, and u-use a sort of bioengineering m-mixed with black magic to fuse th-the two together and create a Raeven." She picked up her glass and took a small sip.
Chloe's eyes widened a little at his second question, her eyes immediatly softening as she set her cup down. Chloe shyly reached across the table to rest her hand comfortingly over David's and with a reassuring smile, gave it a small squeeze. "It d-did not. I've... I've b-been present t-to see at least two s-souls actually b-b-be taken. It is... as gentle as f-f-falling asleep." She moved her hand away, hoping that her words did something to make the man feel a little better.

"Bioengineering? ...and black magic," David repeated these words as if in a daze, only able to imagine a shadow of a man throwing in random, glowing potions into a large, black cauldron already filled to the brim with magical looking strands of DNA and a suspicious looking animal limb floating about. He shuttered at the thought, but suddenly felt a little comforted. That's when he looked down. Chloe's soft hand was gently squeezing his and he felt a blush run across his face. Thank goodness the contact was soon removed, though the pleasant feeling of reassurance remained.
"Is that so?..," he murmured in response, incredibly appreciative of this information. Falling out of the daze, David quickly returned to the topic at hand. "Oh. Another question I had was what do we do now? Do we just wait and then get contacted once the Raevan is..um, born?"
Shifting his attention to Roux and his lack of lower torso, David also hesitated as he asked yet another question, "..And are they hard to feed? Like they eat special things?"

Chloe smiled, shifting in her seat to glance back at Roux as well, whom was honestly looking out the window now, paying the two humans no mind. "Y-Yes... n-now is probably one of th-the more difficult parts... waiting. Y-You'll be contacted once the Raeven is born."
She turned back to face David to better answer his other question, pushing her glasses up along the bridge of her nose. He was a very intelligent man, and it felt good to be asked questions that she could answer. Her nervousness eased away as she went into detail. "N-Not at all. It a-all depends on the Fel Essence... Roux 'feeds' off of ice, he draws energy f-from it... and technically h-he doesn't actually need to c-consume anything, he c-can live off of the i-ice essence he d-draws in naturally. That isn't t-t-to say he doesn't enjoy ice cream, though." She gave a small chuckle, looking up at the ceiling. "S-Sometimes I still wonder w-where he put it all when h-he was in his Frei stage..."
Chloe looked back towards David, giving a sheepsih expression. "S-Sorry... I didn't mean to ramble."

"I see," he paused for a minute, chuckled lightly and continued as if nothing happened. "My sister may be more impatient than I in this matter, though I will do my fair share of fidgeting."
Copying Chloe, David turned his attention momentarily towards Roux, noting the Raevan's indifferent expression and the frigid but regal appearance. His mind began to churn and attempt to conjure an image of what their Raevan may look like..
"Understandable. So, if our essence is that of an inverted flame.." David reached into the briefcase and removed said item, inspecting it carefully and handling it with an almost foreign sense of delicacy. Serious grey eyes watched the flame dance inside the vial vigorously, though the glass remained darkened and chilly. "It would probably eat light and warmth? If so, is there a specific eating schedule? ...Please, I should really be apologizing for my ranting. You must be tired from all my questioning and I suspect your charge is very much lacking in entertainment. Perhaps I should let you leave? It's getting quite late, and it's dangerous for a woman to travel alone at night."
