This thread was spawned out of a discussion regarding a Queen-based religion known as "Queenism", which originated here.
It all started because of a witty remark made by Queen_Zeppelin69. Blue Silver liked the idea, as did I and Kyuubi_Princess. We (meaning myself and Kyuubi, since no one else was on at the time) gradually started discussing a "Queen temple/shrine", and later, I was hit with a spectacular idea (which I sort of got from the "Ten Commandments of My Chemical Romance" one finds on Mibba.com)...the TEN COMMANDMENTS OF QUEEN!!!
I wrote up six of them, albeit in rough-draft form. Kyuubi came up with four more, we revised, and now we have it, here, now--the List.
The Ten-plus Commandments of Queen
1. Thou shalt greet thine ears with the sacred music of Queen early and often. ~ Grilled Cheese
2. Thou shalt love other Queenists as one loves their own brother; for they are your brothers and sisters in Queen. ~ Grilled Cheese
3. Those who do not know the great Queen, thou shalt accept as one of thine own and allow them to be born again in the divine Queen light. ~ Grilled Cheese
4. Thou shalt not forsake The Great Deaky; for his lovable shyness is an invaluable component of The Almighty Queen. ~ Grilled Cheese
5. Thou shalt not devote excessive time to discussing petty trivialities of The Great Freddie's "personal life"; for that is detestable and disgraces the name of The Almighty Queen. ~ Grilled Cheese
6. Thou shalt hold in the highest regard The Great Brian's somewhat absurdly large hair. ~ Grilled Cheese
7. Thou shalt not try to reach The Great Roger's falsetto; for it is near impossible and would sound ridiculous. ~ Kyuubi_Princess
8. Thou shalt not strangle those who steal from thou...although, one may follow the lead of The Great Freddie and pulleth the said thief out of thy house, then go about retrieving thy property. ~ Kyuubi_Princess
9. Thou shalt follow in the footsteps of The Great Brian, Roger, Freddie, and Deaky, live for tomorrow, and party like you mean it! ~ Kyuubi_Princess
10. Thou shalt live to thine own song, and change it many times. ~ Kyuubi_Princess
11. Thou shall not attempt to fit thyself into pants like the Great Mustachioed One, for you shall not fit. Even if you are Twiggy. Even if you are a skeleton. You Shall Not Fit. ~ Scaramouche Fandango
Mind you, this is still in the "planning stage", as no one else in the Guild has made their contributions yet--if you've got another commandment or an idea to improve some of the ones up here, go ahead and chime in! We won't be offended or anything, and besides, these aren't set in stone just yet.

First off I just want to say that I know the economy could be so much worse than it it now Grilled Cheese and I apologize if I'm came off as an overreacting twit with that thread. sweatdrop
As for a commandment the only one I can think of is something along the lines of
"Thou shall pester local radio stations who play holiday music during the holiday season to add Thank God Its Christmas to their playlist."
or
"Thou shall pester local radio stations to play less of the forbidden Nickleback and more, possibly less often to hear on the radio but still equally as awsome, Queen songs."
I'm not good at making flowerly sounding commandments so sorry if they came off sort of blunt and direct. XD

@ King of Fiji: Hey, it's cool. smile Besides, I can see your line of thinking--our economy ain't exactly peachy, either, and when it comes to the senseless neglect of our Constitution, (not to mention federal domination of state governments to the point where they have few rights of their own)--well, I could go on for days about things like that. @ thread: So, I've been thinking about finalizing the list and PMing it to Popo or Memai, and seeing if they favor the idea of adding it to the Guild homepage. (Mods and the Captain are the only ones who can do that stuff, right?)
Seriously, these commandments are the Guild-promoting equivalent of gold, guys. And I imagine they'd make killer fodder for some banners...*goes to whip one up with slapdash photo-editing freeware* 4laugh
Agh! Now I have "Killer Queen" stuck in my head!
