I have always admired Communism. The problem is that Communism, in it's true form, will never work. After much thought I decided to create my own form of government based off of Communism (I call it Verequism, which is Latin for "The state (ism) of true (Ver) equality (equ)") Here are the basic ideas:

1 ) The government owns all money. It is the government that pays you, not your employer. There is private property, however.

2 ) Everyone is guaranteed a house, a job, and enough money for food and clothing.

3 ) The government provides all utilities such as food and water.

4 ) Everyone gets the same base wage as everyone else. However, hard workers get a bonus on top of those wages in order to promote hard work.

5 ) All medical costs are paid by the state (socialized medicine)

6 ) All people are guaranteed the right to:
Speak and write as they wish.
Vote upon reaching the age of 16.
Follow whatever religion they choose.
Keep and bear arms.
Peacefully assemble or protest.
Not be searched without consent, probable cause, or a warrant.
Have a public trial by jury if charged with a crime.
Have a trial within 48 days of being charged with a crime.
Never be denied housing, employment, or sufficient living income.
Never be discriminated upon for any reason.
Marry and divorce freely upon reaching the age of 16, even if the bride and groom are of the same sex.
Never be subjected to overly cruel punishment or execution.
Never be held by the government for over 24 hours without being charged with a crime.
Never have to pay a fee or pass any sort of test before being allowed to vote.
Never be deprived of freedom without being duly convicted
Be considered innocent until proven guilty

7 ) The government shall consist of

1a ) A congress (called the Demate (Dem - people, ate - associated with)) staffed by 200 senators elected by the general population, to serve for 5 years at a time.

2a ) A president (called the Archor (Arch - rule. or - one who)) elected by the general population to serve for 5 years and a maximum of 3 terms

3a ) A supreme court (called the Arbiterory (Arbiter - one who rules, ory - place for)) staffed with 75 Arbiters elected by the general population to serve 5 years at a time.

8 ) Roles:
1b ) The Demate passes bill and votes upon actions suggested by the Archor. All votes are by a simple majority unless overruling the Archon or Arbiterory. The Demate can overrule actions of the Archor or Arbiterory with a two thirds vote.

2b ) The Archor serves as ambassador and suggests actions to the Demate, and can veto actions of the Demate or Arbiterory, although the Archor can be overruled with a two thirds vote.

3b ) The Arbiterory votes upon issues of peoples rights, making decisions by majority vote, and can overrule the Demate or Archor with a two thirds vote.

9 ) The Demate is the only entity that can declare war or sent troops to a foreign nation.

10 ) Censorship is completly illegal unless it is a matter of national security or a matter of life and death.

Also, those who support Verequism are called Verequists.

So, what does everyone think? Opinions? Suggestions?

Yeah, I got lost in number 7. sweatdrop Nice vocab though.
It looks to me like a plain-and-simple/paraphrased version of the Constitution.

#7 is basically a lot like the US Gov. I'll edit it so it's easier to read. It is a lot like the constitution, but it garuntees things like work, money, abolishes censorship, and other things like that. It also abolishes rich people and poverty both by giving people jobs and housing automatically, plus wages are merit based.

Interesting I don't agree with all of it but it's still interesting none the less. You know I think I'm going to make a new form of government now, mostly just for entertainment purposes though.

dont agree with it, im a HUGE supporter of Capitalism

BUT this is basically a form of socialism

BTW i still dont think this will work.

Government controls money...dictator to power all money to him minimal to people

Government pays for utilitys...better be a small country, you know how much that would cost the government? they should build the pipleines and stuff but they shouldnt pay for it unless they are the richest country in the world or wicked small. It's better for the pay to be spread out so everyone has equal burden. ALSO government taken over by dictator=people dont get as much of this.

Government provides housing and clothes and food...again WAAAAAY too much money to ensure that.

I like that you tried and took the time to do this, but lets be realistic, this will not work.

Not a bad idea though, its creative an interesting mix of Socialism and Communism. Might not work in practice, but the idea is good

I am so late in posting... but I just have to.

The idea sounds good in theory, as most ideas do. But I don't think it would fair well in practice. It's not that there are flaws in your logic, just... misconseptions, I think.

1.) The government cannot own all money but still pay you. If they give money to the people, it's no longer money of the government. Once people have money, they should be allowed to use it as they wish: spend it, invest it, play it on the stockmarket... and what about sales? If a person has, say, a yard sale, does the government take the money? There's no sense of individual ownership.

2.) This part sounds good. I like this. But people should put effort into things. If you automatically offer everyone the necessities, they don't have much left to work for. The economy could nearly collapse without enough workers.

3.) Same point I made above.

4.) If the base wage is enough to live (which isn't really a big deal, since your government would take care of all necessities anyway), people won't care to work harder for more money.

5.) Socialized medicine sounds nice, but it makes medical advances slow down, or sometimes come to a screeching halt. If medicine is socialized, all doctors, nurses, and medical scientists will be paid the same wage (especialy going by rule 4), and have no incentive to work harder and find more cures, techniques, etc.

6.) Speak and write - good.
Vote at sixteen - Sixteen-year-olds generally aren't as competent as eighteen-year-olds. There actually is a huge difference in those short two years.
Religious choice - good.
Weapons - good.
Peaceful protest - good.
Not be searched - good.
Public trial - good.
48 days - Why 48, exactly? But still good.
Never be denied housing, employment, or sufficient income - bad, bad, good. Some people make horrible tenents and employees. If you're renting a home, you need to pass the renter's requirements. If you haven't been trained as a nurse, you shouldn't ask for a nursing position in a hospital. Etc. (But everyone needs sufficient income. That's what we call minimum wage.)
No discrimination - good.
Any-sex marriage/divorce at 16 - good, except I made my point before that sixteen-year-olds aren't usually as competent as 18-year-olds.
No cruel punishment - good. (But execution is sometimes needed.)
Never be held for 24 hours w/o being charged - good.
Never pay a fee or pass a test before voting - good.
Never be deprived of freedom without conviction - good.
Innocent until proven guilty - good.

7.) All sounds in order.

8.) Sounds good, sounds good...

9.) YES. Good.

10.) Goooood... except we do need censorship in the case of children. We don't exactly need Barney to "have relations" with Baby Bop while our 3-year-old children watch, you know?
