Home Life :
Mother (muggle)- Feeley, mostly called Fee, is a rather eccentric and obsessive woman. She tends to jump from one odd hobby to the next, like her frienzy over garden gnomes and hiccups. But strange as she is, she's friendly and gets along wonderfully with her daughter. Fee owns and runs a small sweets shop, which keeps her plump and cheerful.
Father (wizard)- Working in the Beasts Division of the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, level four in the Ministry of Magic. John, much like Fee, is rather fanatic. But his strangeness comes from his intensity over his job, due to his love of all creatures magical. But even though his job is his joy, family is still his love.
Cousin- Kallista Evelyn and Pippa grew up rather close, and though the age difference and seperate houses, got along nicely. Kalli didn't judge Pippa, as others did, for her differences. And in return, she had Pippa's trust.
Diving deeper : Many assume that Pip is a bit of an empty nutshell because of her ever-changing interests and tendency to never take what people believe important, serious enough. Her preference to conversing with the ghosts of Hogwarts and people in portraits, over students of her age, may have a small hand in the odd looks she recieves. But it bothers her not one speck, if she even happens to notice.
Pip talks with her professors in a way that is uniquely her own. Meaning she treats them like they're her equals, no different than fellow students. Some Professors love it, while others find it rude (though she believes they secretly like it). And though Pippa is usually one to talk back, make crude jokes or just say something that others would deem inappropriate, she still respects them.
Academically, Pippa struggles a bit. Any subject that doesn't interest her, she lacks the will to focus and just daydreams. So it is common that one sees her searching for a tutor once Finals roll around. Even with her favorite subjects (Charms, Care of Magical Creatures and Divination) Pip doesn't often receive 'Outstandings.' For when the class covers a topic and moves on to the next one, Pippa refuses. She stays with whatever topic is of interest until she discovers all she can about it, before continuing to the next lesson. This leaves her lagging behind, conducting her own experiments and turning in homework that doesn't even pertain to the assignment given by the Professors. Causing them some worry and concern.
Pippa gets a bit of her personality from her mother. She easily becomes obsessed with something only to quickly find intense interest in whatever else catches her eyes. She's seen as strange for she doesn't bother to explain or justify her uncommon habits and actions. Pip also has s rather pervy side. Most of her daydreams involving one or more of her professors. She doesn't think it wrong at all, for she will be graduating in two years anyways, and instead flirts openly. And when she can make one of the faculty members blush, it only entertains her interest more.
Taking a closer look :
The December chill slipped in through the jammed-open window, causing one's breath to escape in puffs and forcing those who resided in the common room to take refudge somewhere warmer. All but a single girl. For a moment Pippa felt like the arms of a ghost wrapped around her, causing her hairs to stand on chilled end. Oh dear Merlin how she wished that were so. But surely, if Nearly Headless Nick so much as touched her, her body would feel on fire instead. With a slight shiver, the moment passed, dragging Pip from her fantasy.
Contrary to any normal person's reaction, Pip stretched out on the now-roomy couch, unbothered by how drafty it was. From where she lay, she had the most wonderful view of the glistening outside. The blinding white was entrancing, who could look away? And the feeling of absolute stillness from the frozen world beyond the fogged glass was even more surreal to her. She reached out her hand as if the steal a bit of mother nature's magic and tuck it away for later. With a whispy sigh, she weaved her fingers through the threads of winter that coated the room. The cold tickled at her nose and, she was sure, drained what little color she had left in her cheeks, but it was ignored. For these afternoons were her favorites. The silence that danced around the room dangerously frail, being able the smell every individual scent that mingled in the air, and the seconds that merged into minutes and then into hours, making time seemingly last forever but also pass too fast. Oh yes, this was one of those perfect afternoons.
Hand now resting motionless upon her stomach and right foot tucked under her left knee, Pip's nose twitched more than it tickled. She tried to fight off the inevitable, but it was a loosing battle. Within seconds a sneaze escaped her slightly buttoned nose.
"Better get some pumpkin juice." Pippa recalled her mother saying it would keep the pepper throwing gnomes away....something about how they hated the smell. So with regretful resignation, Pip slid from couch to standing on the floor. The frozen floor; that nearly scorched her bare feet. Frowning, she wiggled her toes and wondered where her shoes had gone off to.
'Maybe they're waiting for me in the Kitchens. I mustn't keep them waiting.' With that, she trudged away from her quiet sanctuary and down the hall. Headed just there. Feet slapping the stoned ground with each step.
(( I just wanted to say how upset I was typing out this profile. You see, I had Pippa perfect- the way I wanted her at least. But then my internet lost connection and I had to redue ALL OF IT. D': So upsetting and difficult.... yeah. ))
