For using Rend. For christ's sake, in case you were wondering, Rend actually gives better damage per rage than heroic strike does, and it's instant which means it doesn't consume a rage-building white hit like heroic strike does.

Which means that Rend is fine to use while soloing as long as the target will take the full DoT.

So everyone can go to hell. Faggots. mad

I agree with you. Rend is a bad tanking ability, but its fine for soloing. DPS warriors tend to get a lot of flak from the WoW community, and it really isn't warranted.
I'm very anti-Hero Strike. Anything that slows my swing speed can eat s**t and die imo, and the rage to damage is terribad, like you said.

Heroic strike is a ragedump and nothing else, although the rage to damage is actually about equal to Rend's if you're talented for Heroic Strike. But, whatever, Rend still isn't bad, even in that position.

Did you buy my last guild's MTs account?

Story: He found the guy who bought his account on armory. Found it was specced into improved rend and had no improved shield block, no cruelty, imp disarm, etc. He recalled the account (which he sold for $2k) JUST TO RESPEC IT SINCE HE'S IN A HYJAL/BT GUILD. The guy he sold it to recalled the account again... AND RESPECCED IT BACK INTO AWFUL.

No need to say names, now.

I cizzant remember how long rend lasts. If your target dies before rend ends you probably shouldn't use it.

We taught one of our vent friend's brother to say "BAAAHHH" every time he got sheeped and to rend everything in sight in an AV, instead of attacking. So it was him and my friend Travis on a Pally just screaming "REND, REND KENNY. KENNY!! YOUHEANG JUNIOR! REND YOU USELESS ******** was hilarious. smile

btw kenny is 12. he may or may not have been scarred for life. So now if you ask him what the strategy for AV is, he'll just yell "REND!"

Relevant because I said rend five times and have no other knowledge of its usefulness or lack of usefulness.

Rend isn't a bad skill. In a sense, Rend gives good damage for the amount of rage it takes up. However, Rend is a bad tanking ability simply because that rage you spend on Rend could be used in a Sunder Armor which gives more aggro on yourself.

The only exception to using Rend is when you are a DPS tank, in which it is ok on the scale. However, moves like Mortal Strike or that Life stealing talent in fury is a much better asset besides.

-Rare race for a warrior, nevermind the fact that it has the best possible racials for a tank (1% hit aura) ... check.
-Tier 6 gear including every offset piece you'd want a prot warrior to have besides the belt from Gurtogg because that ******** never put out ... check.
-Every attunement in the game, yes, even pre-bc ones ... check.
-Good professions, maxed out, ******** engineering it's worthless anyways ... check.

I was offered $1k for a druid in t3 pre-bc, when druids were pretty much only around for combat rez, before the patch that fixed it so you could have multiple HoTs on a target. It's really not that unheard of.
