 Darkness surrounded them. It was always dark. Never any light, except for the glow of the monsters' eyes. That, was the only light there ever was. And all that ever will be.
It was a normal morning, a normal day. They had met at the school doors, nothing special. Walked to class together, nothing special. Homeroom was fine, and the day carried on. At lunchtime, they met up again. Each one of the group members failed to realize the other's intentions. In the end, their fates would all connect.
After lunch everyone went back to their afternoon classes, and soon enough it was time to go home. Or for some, time to die..
One sharp blade.
One knotted rope.
One loaded gun.
One overdose.
One fatal fall.
One faulty wire.
"Suicide"
The word rung out in their ears, as they thought about what went wrong. They weren't dead, but, exactly, where were they? Meeting up with their friends again, catching a glimpse of what would prove to be the last time.. And also seeing their own deaths happening. But..
What happens when your friend's death, is your only chance of survival? Though, when many things happen in the line between Heaven and Hell, the majority of which are events that should have killed[/color you, don't, when do you know when your friends are going to die?
And, how do you know when to save them?
Without knowing their original intentions, you know nothing of their suicidal thoughts, and think they should live. And vice-versa.
Everyone wants to die, but no one wants the others to.
Quite a dilema.
Well, there's 72 Hours to keep your friends alive. And, well, there's a killer with you.
Maybe the normal day at school isn't so normal, after all. Especially since it'll be the death bed of your friends.

"I-is this Hell?" A bloody Katlin whispered out, and she saw herself, dangling from a rope hung from the ceiling. Her mouth was open in shock.
A hand snaked around her waits; a very cold hand. Katlin tried to scream, and flailed out for a desk or chair to cling to, but it was futile. She was dragged down into the darkness. ~ Panting horribly, Jake continued running down the school hallways. Stopping once he got to his locker, he spun the combination in quickly, and flung it open. His hands flew to his face, and he screamed in horror. His reflection showed a muscular face, drenched in blood with a bullet hole through the temple. Eyes sunken and dark, mouth dripping blood. The cheeks were sunken in.
Jake felts a cold palm press to his face, and everything went black. ~ Mai sat in a corner, murmuring to herself.
"I'm not dead, I'm not dead, I'm not dead..." She kept calling.
The last thing she saw was her young, fragile, body. Covered in swollen burns, as well as blood and gore. Her eyes closed, blood running from her mouth. Her clothes had been burned, and all of her body was roasted. Mai closed her eyes in remembrance, trying to rid herself of the image.
Mai shakily stood up, only to be knocked down, onto the hard, waxed floors. Then, out of no where, Mai felt a hand clasp around her ankle, and start to drag her into the darkness, her hand leaving blood marks on the ground. ~ Nick swallowed hard. His whole body was trembling. The blade was clutched in his body's hand, deep gashes all over his body.
Who knows in this unholy place who I'll see next.. seeing Mai's body was enough, but this... He thought wearily, risking a glance over at his dead body. Just as he did, he heard screams, and felt suffocated, and then he was knocked out. ~ Anika sobbed to herself, body shaking uncontrolably, while she rocked herself back and forth. Seeing Nick swallowed by darkness like that... seeing Jake get knocked out.. and Mai being dragged away.. Not to mention Katlin's disappearing act as well. She felt all alone. With mental images of dead corpses flowing freely through her mind.
Anika had read the horror stories, seen the horrific movies.. etc. But she never, never had expected to live through one. These masked freaks kept grabbing her friends, one by one. It wouldn't be too long before--
Her thoughts were cut off by two hands grasping her neck threateningly, and making her faint. ~ Jasper walked quietly through the hallways. Why wasn't he dead? A 5 storey drop would be enough to kill him, wouldn't it? He was only small, and he never was very strong. He was a fragile boy, and got sick easily, as well as bruised easily. But, here he was. Emotionless as ever.
He'd seen Katlin's corpse. He'd seen Jake's reflection. He'd seen everyone's death so far, even his own body. He felt nothing. No sympathy, even fear. Perhaps that's why the captors were leaving him alone.
Taking his eyes off the ground, and focusing his vision in front of him, he saw a man. He was in a fighting stance, as if ready to take Jasper down. Then, from behind, a great force knocked Jasper down, and his breath escaped him. ~

Summary
So here's the deal.
There are six teenagers. three boys, and three girls. All of them form a group of six, who are all friends. Each of them has their own suicidal desire, for some reason. So, they live out this one day normally. Then, after school, as soon a they get home they set to work on their suicide. Each of them suceeds, though they don't realize it.
Then, they are trapped in the school. The school is the same as when they were alive. (Remember they think they aren't dead) Though, the school is infested with murdurous killers, intent on killing them, or so they think.
It is actually a chance at life again, as long as they realize all they're giving up, and learn their leason about suicide.
But. The one person who does not help his or her friends, will perish into Hell. While the others live.
Also, during their time in this school, they encounter their corpses, and their friends' corpses. It is supposed to show them what they've done, etc.
The time limit for them to find out their leason, and such, is 72 Hours, hence the title of the roleplay.
Everything else, is undecided or in your hands.

A young girl, very quiet. Mai hardly says anything, but is very supportive as a friend. Though, because of her shyness, she was unable to stick up for her friends when they were bullied upon. She thought she was better off dead, rather than living with not being able to help her friends.

Mai's family was nothing special. Average, average, average. Except for their ability to be shy and sensitive. Mai enherited her shyness from both her mother and father. They keep to themselves alot. Mai has no brothers or sisters, an only child. She's rarely seen without a book in hand, or fiddling with a sweater or hem of her shirt. She is very pretty, but the boys are afraid of scaring her away to do anything.

Mai decided to commit suicide with a faulty wire. It was leftover from a broken television, and all she hand to do was hold onto it, while the television was plugged in. She died painfully, and knowingly. Her parents were devastated when they saw her corpse, and rushed to phone the police. Her body was later taken to the funeral home, and a funeral was held.

Mai's strongest friendship is with Jasper. They always sat beside each other, for neither spoke much. They also have similar intrests. No dating history.

Jasper is emotionless. Ever since his brother passed away, Jasper hasn't spoken. He rarely shows emotion, and when he does, it's usually annoyance or anger. He is afraid of losing someone else dear to him, so he decided to commit suicide. It would numb all his built up emotions.

Jasper's family was of the highest respect from others. He grew up surrounded by luxeries, he was a spoilt child. Though, in his childhood, he was not allowed any friends, as his parents trusted no one. He grew up like them, not trusting.
;XoX; Jasper couldn't deal with it. His brother's life, taken away from him at the young age of 19. He had just gotten his driving license, too. Jasper's older brother, Greg, was a free-spirit. He had barely been passing in high school, and was thrilled when he was finally legally allowed to drive, and get out of the city for a change. Of course, he spent time with Jasper as well, the two boys were inseperable. Jasper had only been 10 at the time, when Greg showed Jasper the view on top of the building. It was exactly 5 storeys up, and quite the view of the city. After Greg had died in a car crash, when out on a road-trip with his friends, Jasper clung only to himself. His friends had been the same as they were now, but the only reason they stuck around was they felt sorry for him. His non-speaking attitude must've been giving them alot of pain. So, he went to the building, and took a step of the edge. ;XoX;
Jasper has the strongest connection with Mai. He has never shown any type of trust towards anyone, not even her. But at least she doesn't pressure him into speaking.

Katlin was always the talkative one of the group. She was caught up on everything around the school, and had the best style. She was hard-headed sometimes, but gentle and loving when you became her friend.

Katlin's family was less than average. They live in a ranky trailer park, in a crappy trailer. Her father normally sat in front of the television all day, drinking beer, while her mother was already dead. Katlin was the one who cleaned up all the time, prepared dinner, and every other meal. She also dealt with her homework, and left the bills and such to daddy-dearest. As well as beer and television, her father smoked anything he could get his hands on. That included drugs and cigerettes.

One day, Katlin had just had enough, and set up her noose. It didn't take long, but it was hard to do it. Why, you ask? Katlin wasn't sure, but was a fair believer in the mystical auras, energies, and all that jazz. She had seen the cards predict her death this way, from out of fustration. And well, one day, the head cheerleader had given Katlin so much trouble, the stress overcame her. Katlin hung herself.

Jake is the loudmouth of the group. He just about never shuts up, and it annoys some people. He also plays alot of sports, mostly soccer. He also likes baseball, and he is also out practicing. He doesn't see how he fits into the group, because none of the rest enjoy sports. But, he really only talks to Anika, Nick and Katlin. Mai and Jasper almost have their own world, because they hardly talk at all.

Jake's mother died a while ago, during his birth. Ever since, his father's been all, 'get your scholarship through sports' crazy, and Jake listened. He worked out alot, trained harder, and dominated every team.

Jake couldn't take it any longer. His father was pushing him so hard.. that he hadn't enough time for schoolwork, and had resorted to getting someone to do his homework for him. The only reason he was doing this, was so he could go to college! But instead, Jake would be stuck playing sports for the rest of his life, which wasn't so bad, except that he would rather do something else with his life. He had a slim chance in the sport's work path, and he'd rather be succesfull, than live like Katlin's father. So, he borrowed his dad's gun, and brought it to his temple. Then pulled the trigger.

Jake's closest friendship is with Anika. They have no dating record, but Jake has always liked Anika.

Anika is the easy-goer of the group. She can swing either way, and her mood can change in an instant. She changes her styles alot, going from gothic to preppy in a matter of days. She's an amazing friend, meaning by she's very loyal, and keeps secrets most of the time.

Anika's house is packed. With 5 brothers, and 2 sisters, it gets pretty messy and crowded. Each of the boys have their own room, courtesy of their father, and the girls had to share rooms. The reaso there are so many kids is that Anika's mother had been divorced before, and so had the boys' father. The parents got together, and then everyone moved into Richard's house. Richard and Rachael KatÅ have trouble with fighting and stuff, but Anika always sorts them out.
;XoX; One day, Anika couldn't take all the fighting between siblings and adults. Was she the only mature one there? That was all it took for Anika to pop a few pills too much; a whole bottle. She died painlessly in her sleep, and her parents found her on the couch, and shook her to wake her up. Then, they noticed the bottle, and cried until the rest of the kids came home. When the kids saw Anika lying there, they fell into shock. ;XoX;
Anika has the strongest friendship with Jake. She used to have a small crush on him, but she can't decide whether it's still there or not.

Nick is just your average high school student. He gets his work done, he makes friends, he likes cheerleaders, you know. The normal. He enjoys outdoor things, and may sometimes come off a bit nerdy. That's only because he gets straight A's.

Nick's family is full of scientists. His mother, a botanist, is full of information, as is his father, a paleontologist. He has alot to live up to, and believes he can, if he tried. So, why cut himself? Nick knows why. Because, even if he believes he can, he knows it will never work out. The girl he likes will never notice him, he's always beat up at school, and at home, well, his parents are never there.
;XoX; Nick cut himself because he felt inferior. One day, being stupid and drugged up on emotions, he cut too deep, and died painfully. His parents came home completely shocked, and his mother knelt beside him holding him. His father talked on the phone to the police, and the hospital. The abulance arrived too late, though. ;XoX;
Nick remembers when he used to go out with Katlin. He knows she'd never like him again, but yet, he finds himself drawn to her.

Alone in the darkness... 'Mai Love;; Mai started exhaled deeply, and slid down the wall, taking in her surroundings. Where was she?
Well, the school obviously, dumb a**.
Okay, so Mai knew where she was, but how did she get here?
.....
This time there was no voice from her inner self, which meant there was no telling how she had gotten here. Was she dead? Or did she just pass out at the end of the day, and wake up here?
Oh, sure. That's why there is killers chasing us, and we see the corpses of all of our friends.
Mai shook her head, ridding herself of the thoughts. She closed her eyes, and tried to think.
So maybe she was still dreaming?
Still asleep in her bed at home?
Mai sighed. Why did she try to kill herself, again? Because she was a pansy and couldn't stand up to bullies, that's why.
Mai almost smiled in the darkness, but didn't. This was no place for smiling, and she had to look around.
Yupp. And possibly get killed.
Mai groaned, hushing the voice in her head. She stood up, using the wall for support, and started walking towards the turn in the hallway. Upon reacing her destination, Mai turned with the hall and started walking down it, feeling the wall for reassurance. Mai breathed deeply, and felt her way through the dark.
Maybe she could even find a lightswitch. 'Mai Love;; Until you show me the light.

My wounds are deep.. 'Nick Laker;;
Nick sat in a corner, watching the darkness for any movements. He wished that he hadn't been suicidal, and that he had his friends right now. Although he stayed in his corner, his thoughts were wandering all over the place. From his parents to school work, from Katlin to...
Where'd the thoughts about Katlin come from? Nick asked himself, squinting into the darkness in confusion. He then sighed, and went back to his original job of watching the darkness.

So go on and scream, scream at me, so far away...Katlin felt like she couldn't move, couldn't breath. That rope was only seconds ago, and now....now she was back here? At school? This didn't make any sense.
Still, she could try to find the others. This creepy place was weird enough already. At least it could be weird with friends. If she found Nick, though, it might get awkward...but what if no one was here? It was the first time Katlin considered that she might be completely and utterly alone in this cold place.
But for the first time, Katlin really and truly looked around. It was then that she realized that she was in the student's lounge. How could she have forgotten what it looked like, in her haste to find someone else?
Katlin stood up and stumbled over to the door. At least she could start moving. Besides, she knew this school like the back of her hand.
Or, she thought she did.
...I won't be broken again, I've got to breath, I can't keep going under.
