Asaji growled as she stretched out in the darkness. Or at least it felt like darkness to her. It was chill and the area where her eyes would have been was darker than it normally was. She preferred this kind of day, as it was cool and quiet while most of the other kitsu slept or were doing other things.
Her black and blue toned fur shifted slightly as she caught the edge of a breeze and sniffed a bit. Then she flicked her tongue out and noticed that there might just be other creatures in the area. And here she thought she was alone.
~i wonder if any of them are food.....~ she thought, keeping her thoughts and body still.

 Boney muzzle tore at his rubbery little meal. And being blind, he couldn't tell if it was perhaps an intestine or an unfortunate worm. Either way, it tasted delicious. Long ears of still youngster fur twitched and the nitemare paused. Was that another he heard? Or just his own thoughts being too loud? Disregarding it, Dardanos continued munching on his food.

Hearing some distinct chewing noises now as well as the scent of a fresh kill, Asaji began creeping toward that area to find out what it was all about. She could have sworn most would be asleep by this time. Following her nose, she continued toward the sounds and scent, both getting more distinct as she got closer.
She hissed a bit when she realized it was another of her kind. Interesting discovery this.

A growl instantly birthed to the sound of a living hiss so near to him. So, someone dared to be curious and disturb him? The young male crunched his snack loudly, a warning to go away. Triple tails swished around his legs as he held his own ground. He was still somewhat small enough to fully dismiss, if the other was wise to do so. Otherwise, Dardanos just didn't give a hoot for company.

"Husssssh young one." Asaji growled back, her growl much deeper than his being that she was younger and more experienced with warnings. "I do not want your meal. I wasssss curioussss."
She could tell he was young due to his slightly higher pitched tone of the growl and that he just felt younger somehow to her. She had not met one of her kind in a while, and it was interesting to her that more existed. She wasn't the only one like this.

"Don't telllll me what to dooo." And didn't the other know that curiosity killed the cat? Long and slit tongue wrapped territorially around his food, not bothering to growl again. So sucking his food in his mouth like spagetti, Dardanos turned a stitched and bony face upwards. Sniff, sniff. It smelt old, and female. The teen stood, stretching his legs as he did to walk. Spines on his back reached forward carefully, trying to locate the other NM's exact stance.

"Oh are you old enough to make your own decisionssss then?" Asaji hissed back, chuckling deeply. She had grown so quickly she could not remember if she was ever as impulsive as this young male.
She sensed him trying to figure out where she was, and moved back just a bit, then began to stalk around him. She wanted to have some fun with this little guy. He was no grown yet, and it would be some entertainment. Though, Asaji had no intention of hurting him. There was no reason to unless he struck first.

"Of courssse." Dardanos stretched his tentacles as far as possible, before grunting and withdrawing them. His temper that was normally wide was getting itched by the adult's humor. Annoying stranger, he didn't care what species she was. So chomping his beak, the teen tilted his head to keep an 'eye' on Asaji's direction.
"And what does an oldie like you want here? Take your fossiled form and leave." He flicked his tails, more bored than really annoyed. He prefered his peace and space. Well, unless he came across his whore mother. That was an enjoyed waste of time.

"Oldie means I sssssshould have more experience, but I don't believe ssssso." Asaji said with a snap right back. "Keep in mind young one, my maw is bigger than yoursssss.... tisss the benefit of being older."
She didn't care what this young pup wanted, but she did wonder why he was so pissy. "Why are you so angry? Your meal is yourssss. I want nothing from it, yet you act as if I were a threat."

Experience? What experience could she have better than him, thought the teen. Dardanos gurgled in a nightmarish chuckle. "Sizzze? Does sizzze matter?" He lifted his paw and adjusted the claws, imagining them to be large and dangerous. Oh the imagination given to the blind..
Tongue clicked and ears slicked back dully. "Angry...who ssssaid I was angry? I'm just agreeing with you. You sssaid yourself, you have the benefit over me." Size, experience, and age. Oh yes, Dardanos did have a claimed reason to be edgy.

Asaji shrugged and settled into a sitting position near the other. The male was younger than she but she could sense that he was now and adult. At least in size. She knew she had more experience in a few ways at least.
"Ssssize does not necessssarily matter. However, it does help." she answered, stretching out a claw herself, wondering what there would be nearby for her to sharpen them on a bit. She would never sharpen them on another with intelligence.
Food only. Or a tree perhaps... A large boulder. "Hmmmm... okay."

Dardanos shuffled as he felt the other move to sit, crunching some leaves nearby. Hm, so the other was going to stay and chat? Fine, so long as it wasn't an annoying and hyper kitsu. "Ahh, I'd sssuppose ssso. When it comes to pushing others around." He chuckled, already liking the idea. It would be useful to push others out of his comfort zones when he wanted to be alone. "Hm, but are there others bigger than uss?" He'd never know, he was blind.
His three tails brushed the ground and collected dirt as he waited. Some slurpage happened as his little snack was leaking.

Asaji thought about that. "I believe we are the biggessssst. At least of the kitsusagi. I sensssss that we are, you can as well, if you try hard enough." she answered, indicating that there was more to the senses than just sight alone to tell what size was.
"One can tell size using the simplest of methodsssss..." she hissed, smirking. "We were gifted with more than sealed eyessss..."

Sense it? "What are you blabbering about?" He wiggled his ears and fuzzed his tail, but they didn't sense anything. Though he did understand in some lame way. How he had figured out Asaji was taller, due to her voice being above his ears. (But now being fully grown they were about equal)
"Oh, methodssss. And what are your methodsss?" He smirked as best he could with a beak.

"Hmmm...." Asaji hummed, wondering if this young pup was ready for that kind of experience. It was probably best he learned now but hopefully he never used it against her or she would have to teach him some manners.
"Sssssound. For one." she said softly. "Another is... reaching out what issss known as the sixth senssssse. If you concentrate, you can tell thingssss about your opponent without the use of sssssight."
