The small, little girl sat off by herself, her first-aid kit next to her. Black cat ears poked out of dark blue hair and flicked around, looking for sound. Her tail flicked lazily on the ground, poking out from under her frilly skirt. Koori was away from home for the first time, having been dropped off at the park so her mother Serentity and Jude could have some alone time. She understood it, but being away from her mother made her worry for her.
Koori sighed and played with a piece of grass. They were taking an awful long time...

Greed paced down the street, staring from left to right every so often to spy the color of a passing vehicle or the name of a store she had passed. Today seemed like an open, breezy day to be outside and thought it would be nice to take a walk. Unfortunately, the complaints of someone behind turned the day into mush...
"Greed! Let's go to the hospital already! You have to have that scar taken cared of!" called the voice from behind her. It was the pleading voice of Grim, who stalked her on her walk. He was worrying about that cut on her arm constantly, since his mother was the one who triggered it.
Greed sighed as she kept on her ignoring of her brother. She finally couldn't take it anymore and turned to her brother. "It is nothing serious, I can live with it!" she said with a glare. "And if it bothers you so much, you take care of it yourself." As she turned to keep on walking, she noticed the sight of a first aid kit, not the girl who had it. "Well." she said continuing, "If it bothers you so much, I will go get a band aid from that girl over there."
Grim just put his hand out as he began to walk and grinned in his unusual way. "Don't worry Greed..." he said with a smirk. "I will go get it..."
Greed just scoffed as she watched her brother. "See something you like?" she said in a tease.
"Oh, definitely." he replied afterwards, beginning to cross the street.

Koori's ears called to attention and her head popped up. Her eyes were wide with mild fear as she saw someone walking toward her. Someone other than her mother. She shook slightly. She was only used to Serenity, Jude, and her 'grandfather' around her. She'd never been introduced to other people.
The little cat girl backed up a bit, unawares of the grass stains forming on her socks. The bell on her tail jingled softly.
"Uh..."

Grim approached her and knelt down to get a better look at the girl who had drawn his attention. "Hello there." he said, his unusual but straight-forward grin stretching ear to ear. "I am sorry to approach a maiden of yourself like this, but what is your name?" That awkward girl of his never left this face as he just continued his tedious ways to trying to find the information he wanted. Her moved his hand to his side, and his half star bracelet jingled in unison with the bell on her tail. This surprised him, as it appeared to be real. But he would persist himself to obtain those answers later, right now...All he needed was her name.
Greed just watched from afar keeping an eye on her brother, she wondered how long it would be until she would obtain her band aid to cover her wound.

It took Koori a moment to find her voice. "My... name?" she asked, her voice soft. Serenity had told her not to talk to strangers, but he seemed friendly to her and all. She bit her bottom lip and continued, "Koori... my name's Koori. Who are you?" Her ears twitched a bit, but didn't express any fear or anger. They just sat on her head, poking out from her hair.

Grim grinned as usually unusual and nodded toward her. "Beautiful name," he complimented wondering if this was getting him anywhere. "My name?" he continued trying to act surprised. "My name is Grim. At your service m'lady." His persuading skills were a little dull, even when it came to his words. But he seemed to scratch the surface of the tip of the iceberg.

Koori tilled her head to one side. "Grim...? That's a... different name..." she said softly. He was quite different, so much more different that Jude. Koori sat up a little straighter. Her tail flicked back and forth, the bell creating a constant jingling sound.
"I don't need anything... thou I wish Mama and Papa would hurry up..." she told him, pushing a piece of hair out of her eyes.

Grim chuckled softly as he felt his squatting position getting uncomfortable and sat down. "It is different you say?" he said with a chuckle, before noticing his sister coming over. This wasn't a good thing at all, she might ruin their conversation.
Greed stamped over her hands clenched in fists of rage. Grim was suppose to be getting her a band aid, not flirting with the poor girl. Greed grabbed her brother ponytail and pulled it back. "What do you think you are doing?!" she yelled in his face. But when she got a second look, she saw his hands were not on her. She let go, as she took a seat next to Grim. "Nice to meet you, I am Greed, Grim's older sister." she said uptight and strong bringing herself in the conversation.

Koori nodded. Her head twitched up when she heard his companion come up. She flinched as he was pulled by the hair, her eyes growing wide. She curled into a little ball, her ears flat against her head. Her tail bushed. She didn't even heard the older girl's introduction.

Grim pushed his sister away as he saw how uncomfortable she seemed to be making Koori. He glared at her with a sneer, he was not in the mood for making anything uncomfortable happen.
Greed glared at her brother back, but she stopped when she saw the girl. Poking at one of her ears, she tilted her head. "Are you alright?" she asked, making sure.

Koori flinched again at the poke. "Please, don't hurt him... I'll do anything, just don't hurt him," said Koori, her voice wavering. She relaxed only slightly, bringing her head up.

Greed smiled, trying to reassure the girl. "Don't worry! I won't. Sometimes he is a dunce, but I won't hurt him!" she said.
Grim sighed when he heard the reply of his sister. She was just haughty today he believed and hoped she would hopefully behave. "Koori." he said as he called her name. "You wouldn't have happened..." he paused for a moment to reassure himself before asking. "To have come from a 'doll', would have you?"

Koori slowly uncurled herself. "Okay..." She looked up at Grim. "A... doll? I.... think so. I remember being thrown around as a doll, by 'Grandpa'... and not being able to help Mama when he hit her...!" Koori spoke without thought. She clamped her hands over her mouth. Serenity had told her to never, ever tell anyone about that... about the abuse. And she just did.

Grim perked up to what Koori had said. Maybe this could be the reason why the poor girl was so timid. He tilted his head slightly when he saw her clamp her mouth shut. Was she not suppose to tell such information like so? Grim's curiosity on the girl grew as he realigned the questions in his mind to ask next. To be smart and prevent anything, he decided to change the subject. If pretending he never heard a thing, maybe that would change whatever the predicament was. Grim locked eyes with his sister for a moment, he could tell she wasn't enjoying this at all. He ignored her once more as she switched his question. "Hey Koori, want to play something?" he asked with a grin as he got up. Maybe that would change Koori's and Greed's mood.
Greed jolted up when she heard the word 'play'. "Now we are talking!" she smiled as she got up also.

Koori's ears perked up. "Play something? Sure!" she said, standing up. Her skirt flared around her, her tail indicating a playful mood. She closed her first aid kit and pushed it to one side, out of the way. Instantly, she was cheerful and perky, and much more comfortable with Grim and Greed. They had said the word 'play'. She liked play.
