So the place was a little out of his way to grab lunch from, but Garrett had been craving their thick milkshake and freshly cut french fries for ages! He'd been hooked when his mother took him to this small, family owned restaurant short of a month earlier, transfixed by both the food and the wild array of vintage wall decorations, including a Marilyn Monroe memorabilia collection not to be scoffed at.
Garrett leans in closer to a plaque sporting Marilyn's most famous vent-and-dress photograph, not realizing the line to order shortened and left him standing a few feet from the register.
"Ahum, sir?"
Garrett whips around, and, making quick analysis of the situation, flushes a rosy colour as he scuffles up to the cash. He produces a number of coins equaling about $8.66 from one of his pockets, dropping it onto the counter. "One large chocolate milkshake and -" His golden eyes flicker to the menu, noting the prices, "- a regular fry, please!"

Shane had decided to go grocery shopping in the area of the fast food shop as there was a small grocers and general store in the same area. It wasn't too far out of the way of his street, as he lived out of the way of most things and hated to go into the city for anything but the necessities, or unless one of his kids dragged him out there. However, there wasn't anything in particular that Raven wanted from the store, and instead she decided that while he was browsing the store for a couple hours, that she would go inside the restaurant to grab herself a snack.
Raven had just recently learned that it was a well known fact in the area that the milkshakes here were made with organic milk and all of the fruit flavors were made with locally picked fruits, which made sense considering the location. However, Rumkai insisted that they both split something a little more substantial, so she decided to get a small chicken salad as well. Kai would only probably chew on a single leaf of lettuce, but it was the thought that counted...plus Raven would probably have no trouble helping him finish.
It was only after she had finished receiving her food that she noticed the boy who had just finished ordering before her. Brown wings grew out of his back and tail feathers adorned his gorgeous...
Raven blushed and quickly grabbed a seat in the opposite corner of the restaurant. Once she was seated she began to play with her hair and Alex's feather nervously. Then she thought of how stupid it was for her to even be nervous of the boy, considering she was just there to eat a salad and milkshake. Casually sipping her milkshake, she tried and failed to keep her eyes off of the wigged boy at the other end of the restaurant.

Garrett had spent most of his life watching people, but when it came to having any attention on him, he's as dumbstruck as the metaphorical deer in headlights. So after drawing the attention of the cashier, to him feeling the eyes of other patrons on him just after, he becomes uncharacteristically flustered. His right wing, ever troublesome, twitches and ruffles, certainly not helping his situation.
Collecting his change off the countertop - a mere $1.89 of what he'd brought, but certainly it would be worth the couch diving - the winged boy waits by the wall for his order to be prepared, which it is, rather swiftly. He clutches the tray, white knuckled, and chooses the first empty spot he sets his eyes on, which happens to be across the restaurant. Lovely.
He slips by a large woman, barely managing to avoid grazing her with his overactive wing, and slips into the seat unceremoniously.
Garrett nibbles a fry, glancing casually here and there, trying his best - though failing horribly - to look nonchalant.

"Oh shoot," Raven mumbled to herself "I forgot to get dressing." She slid her chair back with a squeak and got up with her plate to browse the condiments. Mmm, there was raspberry vinaigrette, or a small tub of French dressing. Decisions, decisions. Well then, she thought that she might as well take a bit of both and just dip stuff in it if it was going to take her so long to decide. They each looked equally appetizing. Careful not to take too much, she scooped up small dollops of both to put on her salad.
