Private Quarters: Private First Class Jack Gallagher. Deck 6, Section 5

The small room has the standard grunt design: a small table with a replicator system sits to the side of the door. The other side is occupied by a sink and a couple cabinets, as well as a microwave and a small fridge. A divider separates the bedroom, and stepping through the doorway in between the two sections brings you into the more personal living space. A bunk sits against the right wall, and on the left wall is a desk with shelving above it. In between is a large closet which houses the soldier's larger belongings. There is no bathroom; due to the size of the ship, to avoid massive plumbing systems, there are public bathrooms in every section. Everything in the room is made of dull metal, giving it an unpleasant, artificial environment.

Jack Gallagher's room is utterly plain in all these respects, with the exception of his desk area. In the time since he has arrived on the Hymn, he has taken the liberty of welding additional shelving above the desk, and added rails to keep the massive collection of books they now hold from falling to the floor during shaky battles. The vast collection of books that covers the wall consists mostly of ancient, yellowing, weathered paperback Sci-fi novels. Jack is an avid fan, and the collection includes more than a few Star Trek and Star Wars series.

Jack can be found in here fairly often, reading on his bed with the door securely locked.
