Okay so i know when he first entered the Shaman Fight, Eliza wasn't really there. But then how on earth did he fight with an oversoul of her when she was in heaven?

True, he wasn't using Eliza's spirit because he doesn't have the power to bring her spirit back but I think he was just using his furyoku and his necromancy powers together. Like using necromancy to animate the skeleton so that it can move and using furyoku to give it a form and abilities. Stuff like that.
This is just an assumption, though. Don't take it seriously. xD

Yah that's kinda what i thought too. But can a shaman fight in the Shaman Fight without a spirit ally? I thought they had to have one?

In the anime, Anna gave a kind of hint that she did something to make Eliza the way she is during the second half of the shows (human looking instead of a skeleton). I don't know (or remember if it was mentioned) what she did, but she definitely did something when Faust decided to team up with Yoh.

I never expected him to become a main character, so i didn't form any opinions about him till he came back

I think he was just animating a skeleton to look like Eliza. Anna brought Eliza's spirit back to Faust when he agreed to join Yoh's team in the Shaman tournament.

I didn't like Faust at first. But he won me over with that scene where he's falling upside down through the sky and says some really creepy stuff.
