terra angelorumque adnihilorum
Angels and Demons of Earth

Revelations 12:7-9 as written by John
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Long ago, angels and demons resided in Heaven until someone *cough*Lucifer*cough* messed it all up. Mass mahem and Elysian-wide panic ensued and in the battle that followed, John failed to see one thing.

Not all of the fallen angels left Earth and went to Hell.

Now, in 2008, a small faction is beginning to develop. Fallen angels, half-breeds and demons seeking a life above ground are being drawn together and angels are being sent down to sort it all out.

Some of the motley group want peace, others want Earth all to themselves, but one thing is certain: Earth will never be the same again.

Fallen Angels

After Lucifer and his band of newly made demons had been sentenced to Earth, some angels realised that actually this wasn't what the wanted. Unable to enter Heaven, but shunned from Hell for turning away, these fallen angels are stuck on Earth and depending upon their personaility will either accept it or resent it.

Earth-bound Demons

Some demons decided that Earth was far more fun than Hell and stayed behind when the rest of the gang went underground. They're mischevious but more subtle and less likely to make entire cities explode than their Hell-bound counterparts. Don't mistake a fallen angel for an earth-bound demon though; they couldn't be more different.

Half-breeds

Angels and demons despise each other so much that angel/demon cross-breeds are impossible. However, there's always humans walking around looking pretty and, oh, look at that! A half-angel or half-demon child! These are less powerful than pure-bloods but the mix of blood can cause their powers to mutate and become more specialised. However, most don't even realise what their powers are.

Angels

Haughty and proud, your typical angel knows that he's got a place in Heaven, and though he'd never do anything to endanger that, they can be very arrogant. On the other hand, angels can be very kind and some choose to spend time on Earth as Guardian Angels before heading back to Heaven. Others are watching the situation with the fallen angels and earth-bound demons.

Demons

Evil and cynical, these creatures take great pleasure in tormenting the poor little angels stuck on Earth and often help the earth-bound demons cause havoc. However, demons are sneaky and often there's more to them than an evil exterior - is it possible for a demon to love?

Humans

Poor humans are caught in the cross fire here but still play their part; whether as play-things to the sinful or as divine tools.

Locations

In a secluded valley somewhere far off, fallen angels and demons have integrated themselves in to a little town called Banditon and they tend to stick to their areas.

The park is neutral territory, a small coffee shop called The Pearlies is home to a group of fallen angels whereas the demons prefer the bar scene including a night club called Marble Bar. Some angels and demons live in houses, others camp out in the park, but neither group tries to bother the other.

Only angels can enter Heaven and only demons can enter Hell - it's pretty obvious but it had to be said.

Elysiara's Character:
User Image

Luxorfiel
Luxy, Fiel or just Fi

Age (approx.) = Luxorfiel was quite young when the war first broke out, so most angels and demons consider him to be young even though compared to humans he is ancient.

Orientation: Bicurious, or in his words, "I've forsaken God already, why not just put the nails in the coffin and break all the rules?"

Life-story: Luxorfiel was completely taken in by Lucifer in the war but when they lost he ws distraught. He flitted between Hell and Earth for several years, finally choosing to remain on Earth when he fell in love. He remained with the girl until she out-grew him, and decided to leave her imaginary angel behind as he tried to work out what was wrong with him. In the end he started taking the meaning of 'demon' to new heights and although very amiable, and responsible for his actions, he remains a cunning creature to the end.

Likes:
- Fire, as long as it doesn't harm the environment. Harming people, however, he can thoroughly enjoy. twisted
- Dancing
- White feather dye (most demons have coloured wings but Luxy has naturally white hair and dyes his wings white to match).

Dislikes:
- Emo-depressive fallen angels ("For Satan's sakes, you agreed to this you wimps. Just get over the fact that God hates you already!")
- Arch-angels
- Cold rain

Race: Earth-bound demon (but you're likely to mistake him for an angel of some sort because of his wings).

Powers: Elemental control of fire and the ability to transform and create things around him.

[[EDIT: extra note: Luxorfiel comes from 'lux' meaning 'light', which is also the 'luc' in 'Lucifer', and a varient on Orifiel the angel of the forests who guards the inhabitants of the forests and encourages us to protect them aswell as being declared an unknown Archangel by one of the Popes. So his name is basically supposed to be like Lucifer, or 'light bringer', in that it doesn't suit the fact that he is a demon.]]

[[2nd EDIT: extra note: I've just worked out - Luxorfiel pretty much means Forest Guardian of Light, huh? Hahaha...]]

[Picture Coming Soon : Long, sort of strawberry-blondish hair, white wings, gray eyes

Elizael
Ell - izz - AIL

Age (approx.): Young. Probably the youngest. An infant when the war broke out.

Orientation: Straight.

Life-story: Elizael was a weak and fragile angel as an infant, born during the war. She remained in heaven and enjoyed watching Earth, but didn't go down too often. She never thinks too much about the war, but she is a strong fighter, if a bit selfish. She doesn't really want to get involved on Earth because she thinks that she wasn't there and that it won't affect her. Though in recent times she has begun watching over some humans in Connecticut...

Likes: Being around a few other angels or alone, playing with the clouds, flying really fast and really high, and generally having fun.

Dislikes: Anyone who gets in her way, and anyone who pronounces her name wrong.

Race: Angel.

Powers: She has the ability to mold light and control it; she also occasionally sees glimpses of the future, though they only last a few seconds at most.

[Picture comming soon]

Henricus
[Henry in latin, Goes by Henry, Ric, or Ricus]

Age- Henricus was approximately 16 years in appearance when the war broke out, so is also considered young.

Orientation- Strait but has nothing against gay/bisexual people, as long as they don't hit on him.

Life-Story- Henricus was sent to hell along with Lucifer and the other demons, but was one of the first to go to earth. He lives in a old, very large, hollowed tree. He lives alone and had never entirely experienced the want to interact with another humanoid. He hates it when people reffer to the controller of storms as 'mother nature', especially since he is a man with no children. He also calls german his own language since he is, as he knows, the only angel or demon who can speak it.

Likes-
-Storms
-Mangoes
-Animals

Dislikes-
-Long Periods of Nice Weather
-Bugs ["Eatin' my mangoes!"]
-Ignorant People

Race- Earth-bound Demon

Power- Controls storms and other 'natural' weather effects.

Picture:[Will probably be Avietar.]
Name & Nickname: Foliun [None.]
Age (approx.): 18 [when war began][is a strange name.]
Orientation: Bisexual
Life-story: Foliun was sent to Hell later than most of the demons. Once the wore began he was also one of the last to join in. After the war had ended he decided to stay on Earth, his excuse being that someone had caught his eye. They passed before he ever had the chance to talk to them, though. Thus he was left on Earth, no purpose in hand.
Likes: Trees, apples, peace, mischief.
Dislikes: Fire, Annoying people, having to fold in his wings.
Race: Earth-bound Demon
Powers: Has a certain ability with nature.
[God he's strange. Foliun will also most likely wear pants.
. . .
In public.]

Picture: (Coming soon)
Name: Crepusculum (Meaning "Twilight")
Nickname: Rep
Age (approx.): 14
Orientation: Straight
Life-story: Crepusculum was a demon sent to hell and was meant to stay there for eternity. He eventually got bored hanging out with the same demons for years and years on end. He escaped, however, and decided to go to Earth. Crepusculum was also very young before he was "banished" to the underworld, and so his appearence is still of a 14 year old boy.
Likes:
-Causing chaos
-Causing plagues to spread through entire continents such as Europe
-Swimming in the ocean. And then making it evaporate.
-Messing with the timeline
Dislikes:
-Goody goody angels
-Green vegetables
Race: Earth-bound Demon
Powers:Crepusculum can completely distort time. He can make time stop, speed up and go backwards. He also has the power to cause fear in a human simply by looking at him/her.

It was twilight outside as the day transformed in to night, but the flickering street lamps and glaring neon signs illuminated the back streets of Banditon with a glow as eerie as its inhabitants. The sweet smell of cheap perfume wafted out of a window high above him and Luxorfiel glanced up to see a human girl wink at him and blow a kiss from the balcony; it was a house of ill-repute, he knew that, but that little sign of affection still gave him a confidence booster as he walked onwards towards Marble Bar.

He could have flown, in theory; Marble Bar was a night club frequented only by demons and their companions. However, he preferred to walk and take in the sights, sounds and smells of the town even if sometimes they were less than pleasant. As he reached the maze of alley-ways he lit a flame in his hand and walked on in to the dark, eventually finding a nondescript door and knocking softly. Upon seeing the fire in his hand, the doorman behind the little sliding window opened the door and the thump of the bass hit the grinning demon like a ten ton truck.

"Good evenin' Fiel," the door man muttered, "No date t'night?"
"No, Michaelus, I'm afraid not." Luxorfiel replied, not much caring for the door man, but requiring some conversation none the less as he stepped in to the club and closed the door behind him.
"That's a shame, Fi, but there's plen'y of cute girls down there, some guys too-"
"Mich, I don't need this, just open up the stairs and I'll go down...please," it was rare for Fiel to forget his manners but Michaelus was pestering him so much of late and only once he was down in the basement club did he relax and start to dance, weaving his way around the room with various greetings and pyrotechnic displays for those who had not met him. While by no means famous, he was fairly popular, if only because so many demons were pyromaniacs and he amused them. Once exhausted from his nightly greetings, he sat at the bar with a suspiciously sticky cocktail, cooling down before dancing again. All cocktails are sticky; the ones at Marble Bar tended to be stickier for reasons unknown. He let his wings out and immediately had to explain to no less than 4 people why they were white, as if an angel would step foot in Marble Bar; they'd have to be suicidal.

Crepusculum sighed and, already sitting down on a stool at the bar, called the bartender over. "Hey, I'll take the usual."
"You got it, Rep. One Hot Stone comin' up," the blonde female bartender replied. A Hot Stone was a beverage that Rep had specially made for him whenever he visited Marble Bar. It had intense levels of alcohol in it, and was at boiling temperature. Though a single drop of Hot Stone would probably burn the tongue of a mortal being, Rep wasn't harmed by it. Nor would he get the least bit drunk by it.
After all, he was a demon.
"Ahh...." He took the bottle from the girl, chugged the Hot Stone down and set it down on the bar. Rep stood up, took a deep breath, and clenched his hands together in front of him. He began to turn pale white and a loud screeching noise rung out. His skin returned to the normal color, and then he was suddenly sitting down again and the bartender was standing in front of him at the bar.
"I'll take the usual." He repeated.
"You got it, Rep. One Hot Stone comin' up."
Rep smirked and, again, took the Hot Stone. Man that never gets old.

Henricus awoke from his sleep on a rooftop, above the Marble Bar. It had been drizzling when he had fallen into slumber, but now he sat with one knee up and the other leg outstretched, his arm balanced on his knee and the other helping to support his back, his black wings were out, but not to their full extent of width. He yawned, and with a slightly rasped, as if not often used, teenager-ish voice muttered, "Too nice out..." His dark eyes flashed as his wings beat once and it began to rain, dampening his hair and plastering the dark feather-like strings down to his forehead. A strike of lightning hit the ground a while off, and a rumble of thunder afterwards. Henricus looked up with his mouth open at the dark clouds, now blocking out any signs of stars there were before. Another strike of lightning. There was a fizzing noise, then a few 'What the hell?'s from people and demons bellow in the bar/nightclub. Henricus laughed and cracked his back before he allowed the electricity come back on and the thunderous music bellow began shooting from bellow. He shook his head happily in the rain, the medium length shadowy hair thrashing back and forth on his forehead, but then settled down again, but not as smooth until it was attacked by more rain water. His thin shirt was soddened with water, the gray and black striped clinging to his skin and muscles, the hood on the back was stuck to his back, the top of the three buttons unlatched. If his black pants were to be lifted slightly it would reveal to show midnight, half-shin high boots. The pants were slightly baggy if dry, but from the sudden downpour were tight to his skin. Regardless, Henricus dropped down from the rooftop, his decent slightly slowed by his moistened feathery wings. His wings tucked in as he opened the door to the club without waiting for the doorman. He gave an unenthusiastic wave to Mich, who seemed disappointed, and continued down into the basement. He took the small table by the window that people would easily be able to kick from the outside, watching the rain he had created. He gave the small wave he usually gave to the waitress and she came back with his beer and the slice of lime on it, and a chilled mug he never used. He didn't bother to mingle with anybody, usually the girls or anybody interesting came to see him anyways. It was odd to him that he had the effect to attract other people and demons even though he didn't try, he never even showed off his powers to anybody. He shook his head again, now the moistened hair wasn't stuck to his head, but wavy from the humidity. He squeezed the lime juice into the beer and then pushed the slice into the alcoholic beverage and took a swig of it before setting his gaze back out the window.

Fiel looked around the room, casually twirling a cocktail umbrella in his spare hand as he lifted his drink to his lips. There was a strange demon down the bar that made Fi smile as he gave off intimidating vibes. I bet the humans just love that, he mused as he felt the heat radiating of the demon's drink, What an intriguing being. He let his eyes roam around the room, surveying the dancers with a smirk before finding himself looking at a lone demon, seemingly soaked through except for his drying hair. He must have been caught in the storm, Fiel supposed, Either that or he caused it. How cruel of him. I have to walk home in this weather. He glanced at the window that so captivated the man, Yup. He caused it alright.

He sighed and took another look at the dancers as he licked his lips, sticky with substances unknown from his cocktail. He winked at the bar maid, a pretty little human with a thing for dangerous demons, and waltzed back in to the crowd. He must have danced with almost everyone present within 10 minutes and found no one at all of interest on the dance floor. They were all dreadfully dreary, and all of them flirted far too much.

Disappointed that he had no one at all intriguing to talk to, he settled back at the bar where the blonde bar maid sympathised as she shook up his favourite cocktail.
"You're just looking too hard," she insisted, handing over the drink, "You come in here every night, looking all Prince Charming and making the girls blush, then waltz right out with a frown when no one meets your standards."
"I don't try and be-"
"Picky?" the smiling woman suggested, "Pedantic? A perfectionist?"
"I was going to say a Prince Charming," he replied dryly, "This is the only real demon hang out, I'm not looking for a flirty demonette," he smiled sweetly, "Just someone I could talk to when it's not the dead of night. I have no social life outside of these walls."
"Well that's ok, you're more than popular enough to here to make up for it," she wandered off to serve someone else and left Luxorfiel sulking in to his brightly coloured, sparkly, fizzing and dangerously alcoholic cocktail and staring at the demon by the window.
