Ahhh, another shot. They were becoming ordinary, almost boring, but every time those kids would come in and look so upset or angry or nervous, it brought a whole new flavor to it all. The children were as diverse as their animal counterparts!
It was lovely.
This one was to be - Abriatya flipped to the correct file, eyebrow arching slightly - a Dromedary camel who was older then he should be for these shots. Well. It HAD said 'late shots' but she had assumed that the child had just received it's egg.
Not the DRAGON.
Never the less. Abri put the file down and got to work preparing the shots, humming a little under her breath. Hopefully the poor boy hadn't gotten horribly sick in the meantime!

((YAY rofl I love you guys.))
Oliver poked his head in through the door, a rather shy expression on his face. He didn't seem to frightened though, as if he knew what he was there for. His dragon scooted up to peer in as well, giving a curious chirp.
"Hello?" he asked, and stepped in. Another nurse had called his name and lead him from the waiting room, and he hadn't really expected anyone to be there, since you always had to wait for the doctor or nurse. "I'm here for my shots..." he said, scratching the back of his shaggy head, and managing a shy grin.
He knew that he was overdue for them, and truth be told, he'd been worrying over it even more than his mother...he didn't want to get sick! He wouldn't let his small fear of needles overcome that. He kept a hand on Trace's back to keep him still, knowing the dragon was probably fixing to jump up and explore every part of the room, not a good thing, in a doctor's office.

Abri turned around when she heard the door open and smiled rather cheerfully at the boy in question. Slim hands rose and she twinkled her fingers at the young camel.
"Hello there, lovie! You must be Oliver and - well, your file didn't say your little dragons name. Care to introduce us?" The scientest watched the two as she grabbed another sterilized cloth, rubbing it gently against the needle.
"I'm Abri and I'll be doing your shots today. You don't seem to have any scales - is there any skin that is particularily tough? We don't want to use that area, if so."

The little camel seemed to relax more at the friendliness of the woman. He waved back hesitantly, ears flicking. "Yeah, that's me." he said with a sweet smile, and patted his dragon as she requested an introduction.
"His name is Trace. He's a brass dragon." he said, and patted the back of his companion's neck. "You sit still while she gives me my shots now, alright?" he whispered, and received a little nod from the dragon, who remained at the camel's side, glancing all about the room.
"It's nice to meet you." he said politely, and moved closer to her. "No tough skin, I don't think, but I am pretty, uh...furry. Will that be a problem?" he asked, peering up at her as she sterilized the needles.

It was always a sad thing that children developed a fear of doctors, simply because one or two of their previous ones had been cruel, or they heard stories from other children. Abri was dead set against her being one of those doctors. Honey and vinegar, after all.
"Hello, Trace." They were cute together and, honestly, Abri couldn't help but keep smiling. She had only seen one other dragon before and that one had been HUGE. This one wasn't too bad. She liked it. "But no, fur isn't a problem, although we miiiight have to shave a little bit of it off of you, depending on how fluffy you get near your veins. Would that be alright?"
Abri blinked when he was... well. Close. Most kids cowered. This was good, though! "Just hop right up on the table there, sweets."

Oliver had never had a bad experience with a doctor before so...he had little reason to fear them. He already knew that getting shots would keep him from becoming ill, and he wasn't worried, even if the needles did look a bit scary.
The dragon seemed to grin, and chirred softly, his tail sweeping the floor as he bowed his head. "Helloo~" he replied in an almost experimental way. He had finally begun to pick up on english, instead of prattling on to everyone in draconic tongue. He knew some words now, mostly greetings and single words, but he was learning.
"That's no problem at all." Oliver said as he climbed up and sat on the table, keeping an eye on Trace, who wandered over to sit at the side of the table.

Another little wave to the dragon and Abri put the needle very carefully on the sterilizing cloth. She took a spare electric razor - don't ask how it got there to begin with as Abri was a woman of many talents - and gestured for Oliver to hold out his arm.
When he did, she flicked on the tool and started shaving the fur from the crook of his elbow. It wasn't too bad; more fluffy the long. Still, it could have presented a problem.
"Now you can tell all the girls you're getting ready for a tattoo." She joked softly, giving the boy a small grin before she kidnapped the needled once more. "Now, take a deep breath, darling."
A slight pinch and a few seconds of pressure later, the needle was slipped out and put back down on the sterilization cloth once more.
"There we go! That wasn't too hard, was it?"

Trace peered up at them, watching the needle with light worry, cocking his head and tapping the linoleum floor with his tail as he waited for Oliver to be done with the shots.
The camel held out his arm for the woman and watched as she shaved away the soft, and rather thick fur, giggling a little as she mentioned a tattoo. It was something he could never get, but it seemed like a painful process anyway. Trace began to chatter away in draconic, and he looked down as Abriatya picked the needle up. He took a deep breath, only wincing slightly as she administered the injection.
"Not hard at all." he said, giving a weak smile. It did sting a little, but it was nothing he couldn't handle.

"Exactly! And it's all over now." Another cheerful smile and the needle was thrown out and, in its place, a little bowl of candy was brought out. Suckers, hard candy, caramel and the like - everything your dentist grumbled about.
"Something to soothe the pinch, sweets? Then you can leave!" Once the child took the candy - or refused the candy - it was put back on the shelf. "Take it easy for the next day or so and get some rest, lovie. I'll see you when your a little older for classes. Alright?"

Oliver smiled a little, and chose a caramel, pocketing it and hopping down from the table, running a hand down his wyrmling's neck as Trace stood up. "Thank you, Miss Johanson." he said as he headed toward the door. "I will, and I look forward to your classes." he added politely, waving to her as he exited with Trace. "Good bye!"
