The wind whistled around the filly, whipping her tri-coloured mane into a flying frenzy. That morning, instead of waking up to sunlight and birdsong, Teppy found herself in a gray, dreary world. Clouds loomed overhead and a chill sent a shock through Teppy. It was supposed to be Spring; what happened?
But there was no use in standing there, exposing herself to whatever was going to happen. She trotted off in search of some shelter, and perhaps a playmate for comfort in the terrible weather.

Cain could sense the weather was getting abnormally horrid. The clouds were coming together in big clumps of gray and green. He kicked up his hooves and bounced towards some trees, where he saw a strangely patterned filly also looking for shelter under the trees.

The filly's ears caught a soft sound over the wind. They sounded somewhat like... hoofsteps? She turned around and gasped in surprise as she saw Cain's form nearby. Nervously her cyan eyes flicked to the odd horn on his forehead before trailing down to his lion-like tail. Why did bad weather always bring out strange Soquili?
"H-hello?" Teppy called questioningly, wondering what he was doing. Perhaps he was seeking shelter too.

"Hi there." He nodded a greeting to the filly. He noticed she was staring at him so he swished his tail and stamped his hoof. "No need to be frightened. This weather seems more like the bad guy, dont you think?" The wind swirled around the two foals, picking up the dust and brush. Mom had warned Cain about this kind of weather but he never thought he'd see it.
He squinted his eyes and looked over to see if the filly was okay.

"Yeah, right, the weather..." Teppy said absently, shaking her head. She hadn't meant for her staring to be so... obvious. Her eyes narrowed to keep swirling dust out of them. This was the windiest weather she had ever experienced. The force was bending the tops of the trees unnervingly far.
The filly gave Cain a tentative smile. "Are you looking for shelter? Why don't we look together." Usually Teppy would hide in the trees. She was agoraphobic, and she was drawn to the comforting closeness of the trees. But with the wind... she wasn't so sure about the forest. "I don't know where to go," she admitted, eying the trees before she had to turn her face away from the wind. Her little body strained against it, keeping her upright.

"Hmm..." Cain peered around, his eyes catching a glimpse of a large tree with its base slightly removed. "We could try squeezing in there. I think it would shelter us from the rain and any other nasty weathers." He braced himself against the wind as he walked towards the tree. He sniffed the edges, still not entirely sure.
A crack of thunder was heard in the distance and another gust of wind ruffled his mane angrily. He gestured for Teppy to hurrry. The sky was looking malevolent.
