I just read this tonight, just now.
George Lucas and Rick McCallum are in the process of making a live-action TV series set in between episodes III and IV. It's set to debut in 2009/2010 and will have at least 100 episodes, each 60 minutes in length. HOWEVER, George is hoping to split the show into a possible four different series', totaling in 400 episodes!
Mr. Lucas FTW!!!

ITcould be really good fantastic and the greatest thing to ever happen..... Or it oculd get a bunch of bad acters the first set of espiods is really really good and then it goes off into a neverland of scifi that I hav eno idea how it got thier in the first place. Only time will tell if it is going to be good I hope it is going to be really good and a fanastic leap for the star wars Universe.

I read into it a little more, and they're planning to make it about the littler known characters and what happened to them. There will be of course some bigger names, (Yoda for instance) but the main plan I heard is to keep it to the smaller names.

The Live Action is about the eighteen years about the Rise of the Empire which should be pretty good. The Clone Wars doesn't interest me as much, and four hundred episodes? I bet you five bucks it gets old after the first two seasons.

It will either be a huge success ... or a complete flop. eitherway it probly wont make it to 400 episodes, even if its a hugh success. I think its a good idea and i hope its good but i have my doubts.

jasonfehr i'm gonna watch to see how yoda does on dagobah, and making his epic hut and all!! he flies to dagobah and fights an epic 3 day battle with a powerful darksider, then kills the man and makes some new robes out of his skin, then decorates that 'dark side cave' on dagobah with the mans remains. Why? well, he wanted to use the darkside to hide from the emporer without actually using the darkside >.>
