I just finished my second year of college today, and moved out of the dorms. Already got an apartment lined up, just waiting on confirmation (it's all but assured at this point). I win. I beat the dorms. I beat the dorm food. I WIN.

For realz! House party stat!
I finished my first semester of college on Thursday *high five*. I go to community though, so I don't have to worry about dorms or food. My mama houses and feeds me and it's pretty awesome.
Really I would like to move out, but I'm only 17 right now. Let's be roomies Dis. I'm responsible!

I'm starting in dorms this fall. After 5 months in a youth hostel, 3 months in a trailer, and 9 weeks with 4 people in a room about half the size of a dorm room, I'm pretty used to the idea.

Heeee. I'm getting a nice apartment. It used to be two studio apartments, but it's currently being connected together as a suite. It's renting out for the price of one of the studios, too. wink I'll be by myself (FINALLY), except for a little kitty I'm getting at the end of summer.
The place is right next to a national park (literally, the treeline in the backyard is where it starts), it's only ten minutes from my college, and all the neighboring apartments are full of nice quiet people.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to this.

Damn lucky. I live in the city of Really Expensive Housing, but at least the minimum wage is Higher to compensate. But I don't have a Job because I go to an Art school that occupies most of my time and I'm in the most expensive major. ><

Well, I have a good set of dishes for shabbat (I'll probably just keep it parev), and I'm looking for some other sets of dishes for regular use. I need to figure out some 'regular' foods that are kosher, since there's no stores locally that sell decent kosher stuff (plus, regular is cheaper).

Disposables are the easiest, but not the cheapest in the long run, and they make for a LOT of waste.
