It was late afternoon on the day after Celebor and Niyana's very long night, and he was already back in the Seconds' world, looking for her.
It was a record, he mused as he headed to the place where he had left her earlier that day. He had never spent so much time in this world before.
But then again, never had he had such a good reason.
He had come straight from his father's library after having had a long talk with his father. He had a purpose now, coming here, a purpose greater than just seeing Niyana again - though truth be told, he would have been content with just that. But there was an urgency in his steps that showed that he was on a mission.

Niyana had, though she didn't want too, left the spot she and Celebor and mated. She could not just stay in the fields waiting for his return like a star eyed puppy. Though she laughed to herself her hand moving to the mark just under her pants where Celebor's hand had marked her.
"Maybe I could just sit there waiting for his return." She said laughing and moved to a small pound, "I should wash up..." she stripped and smiled at the orange on her body moving her hand to size it up against her lovers and she smiled and her green and yellow dyed palms with her black fingers.
She undid her long braid and moved into the cool water. Allowing it to find her tired muscles and tense them. The prince had done a number on her. She laughed at it and ran her fingers threw her hair.

Celebor couldn't pretend that he wasn't disappointed when he learned that Niyana was no longer where he had left her that morning, but it didn't deter him one bit. He had spent a year learning from the elves for a reason - and now he put his skills to use tracking the steps of his love through the field, right up to a pile of clothes and a pond where Niyana was bathing.
Celebor had come up behind her, and he sat silently in the grass, watching her unashamedly, waiting for her to turn around and notice him, his urgency temporarily forgotten.

Niyana had, on her and Celebor's first meeting, that elves could walk with no sound. But it had slipped her mind.
She knew she should have waiting for him but she figured that he had probley returned to his work. She let her hair float freely on the water almost giving her a mermaid like look.
But soon enough she could feel eyes on her and she turned to see her prince sitting there watching her. She smiled brightly at him and swam over to look at him, "You came back sooner than I thought you would my lord."

Celebor grinned widely, leaning forward slightly to kiss her forehead as soon as she came close enough.
"I told you I would not be gone long," he murmured, reaching out and taking some of her hair between his fingers. "I spoke with my father ... he thinks that the best way to tell my mother about us would be to have you there with me at the same time."
His eyes grew soft as he watched her in the water. "Is it wonderful in there?" he murmured, wondering if perhaps he had the time to join her for a while.

Niyana smiles, "Well I know you said you would be back soon...but I wanted to get cleaned up for when you returned." She smiled and splashed him lightly.
"It is a tad cold at first, but if we are going to tell your mother so soon...well then we better be cleaned when we do right?" She smiled at him and moved back from the shore so she would be full covered by water. "So I take it you wish to speak to your mother about us soon then?"

Celebor chuckled and slipped his boots off, setting them aside.
"You have a point," he grinned mischievously. "We should be clean when we talk to Mom."
And he removed his weapons belts, setting them with his boots.
"Mom didn't question me about where I was last night," he told Niyana as he removed his shirt, "because she knew I was here and she knows that this is a safe place, so she wasn't worried. On the other hand, I've never spent this much time here - ever - and soon she's going to start wondering, and worrying ..."
He tossed his pants aside next.
"And I don't want to make it seem as if I'm trying to hide it from her," he added. "We've got a lot of trust between us, I want her to know. I mean, she's your like your mother now too, isn't she? Mother in law or something? You're a part of the family, the family deserves to know."
He removed the rest of his clothes and slipped into the pond, shivering slightly at the coolness of the water until only a moment later he was used to it.
"What do you think?" he asked, swimming over to Niyana and treading the water next to her. "Tonight? Tomorrow? When will you be ready?"

Niyana watched him remove his clothes with no shame. He was her other half why should she be ashamed.
"I am glad she didn't question you. And I am not saying we should hide it, unless you wanted to to hide it for a wail...and though I would hate not to see you for a wail, I know that you can't stay here with me forever."
She watches him move into the water. "Oh it is not that cold my lord." She moved her hand to her lips, "I guess I should refrain from calling you that for now."
She moved over to wrap her arms around him just to warm him quickly. "Well I will be ready when you wish me to meet her...tonight or tomorrow. I will try to make a good impression. "I am very sorry if I rushed this.."
She didn't regret anything but she had no one to explain things too and she desperately hoped that Celebor would not regret what they had done.

Celebor put one finger against Niyana's lips, immediately feeling warmer as she put her arms around him.
"You didn't rush anything," he told her softly. "It was both our decisions. I feel no regret for any of it, and I hope that you don't either. What we have ... there is nothing wrong with it. There is no reason to regret it, to hide it ..."
He smiled faintly, putting his arms around her and drawing her close.
"I want us," he murmured, "to be free ... for there to be no questions of why I might come here so often, or why I might spend so much time here when before I would not. I want my family to know what a gift I have found ... what a gift has found me."

She was luckly able to rest the tips of her toe on the bottom of the part of the pound they were in so she would not sink when both of them stopped treading water.
She smiled and kissed him holding him close. "Thank you for that Celebor, I do not regret anything at all, I can't believe that we could both find something so wonderful. I would not wish to hide what we have and I want you free."
She nods, "Then we will meet you mother and tell her. And should the worse happen and she wants you to have nothing to do with me then...well I am sure we will work something out."

Celebor's eyes grew wide as he realized what Niyana's fear was.
"No," he said quickly, "no ... she would never say something like that ... even Lore, my father, even he says she'll be happy ... it will just take her some time to get used to the idea, because she has no idea ... as far as she's concerned, I'm still the little boy who came out of my vase so long ago ... that's all. She would never disapprove of you ..."
He drew her closer and kissed her on the bridge of her nose. "She would never disapprove of you," he repeated softly.

Niyana had felt tears fill her eyes with tears at the thought of having to leave Celebor. She would have left him if that was the only want to see him happy with his mother. She knew that there was something special there and she did not want steal that from Celebor.
"I don't want to loose you Celebor...I know we didn't find each other in the 'proper' way but not everyone finds their mate in the same way." She smiles and runs her fingers threw his hair. Holding tightly to him and resting her head on his shoulder, "I will make you proud....I will make sure that your family will be proud for you and approve of your choice of a lover." She smiled and moved her right hand to the mark she left on his chest.

Celebor closed his eyes blissfully, loving the feeling of her fingers in his hair, and when she put her head on his shoulder he slid both arms around her back, holding her tightly.
"I appreciate your words," he murmured, lowering his head so that it was leaning on her own, "but just make sure of one thing ... that you do not change yourself in the process of impressing my family. I don't want you to change, I want you just the way you are."
He felt a new warmth spread through his body when she put her hand on the mark she had given him, and he reached one hand below the water and did the same, placing his hand on her ribs.
"There's something I don't believe I've told you yet," he murmured in her ear, his lips so close they brushed against it. He paused and smiled, then kissed her ear and whispered, "The water has always been one of my favourite places ..."
And she was just giving him another reason to love it more.

Niyana smiled and kissed her prince's shoulder. "I will try not to change too much. Though you already changed me for the better my lord."
She felt a blaze surge threw her as his hand filled the mark on her. Surely a few hours rest wasn't enough time for thier bodies to fully recover.
She giggled softly at his kiss and bit his muscular shoulder softly. Then she turned her head to look up at him, "Well then my lord after we meet with your mother I will show you why water should be your favorite places." She laughed warmly and kissed his throat then his jaw. "Maybe we will even find some warmer water so we can enjoy it more."
She forced herself to pull away from him and moved towards her pants. She reached in and pulled out a small bar of soap. "But for now, I think it is best we clean for your mother."
