It felt as if Spring decided to take a vacation from swinging into the valley this year, but it had come, finally, and the skies rested from their onslaught of the white snow, turning it into a soft rain during the late month of april, opening passages and bringing the quiet grounds back to life. With the turn of the weather to such a pleasant temperature brought with it a different kind of Soquili, they would walked the path less taken, or sometimes always taken, just to extremes.
Talullah was a good example of such a group of travellers, nomadic at heart - staying in one place was never in her agenda, she had been raised on the edge of the world, as she called it, always venturing further than her heart had called 'home' - a little clearing, something that could barely pass as a clearing, but housed many families, that constantly grew and morphed into other families, much to her changrin.
But she was still half a day's walk from where that place was, enjoying the wind and just taking in the familiar scenary - it was always good to come back here, it always sang of promise and good days. This is where she would start teaching her siblings about friends, family, feelings and freedom ... okay and travelling but it didn't start with F. As a gust of wind blew through her and the grass under her feet, she dawned on a realization.
Where DID that little colt GO?
"Teee~hhhssss, where did you go, munchkinnn?" She called out, turning around quickly, her eyebrows pinned high as she scanned the landscape. This'll give her a headache, wouldn't it?

While Tal was enjoying herself in a frantic glee, Dante was busy acting somewhat zen and relaxed. His eyes glided back and forth at the charming atmosphere, and his nose sniffled a bit from the opening buds. So much had happened this past winter.. so much that he didn't even know where to start! Despite that reality, things were good, so Dante was good. What brought change in his life was somewhat peaceful, and it seemed his father was taking a turn for the better. Dante wouldn't believe it until he saw it for himself, though. And he also avoided any hint or signs of him when possible, still.
Much to the stallion's surprise, he found himself naturally halting in an instant, since something strange had invaded his stride and space. A colt of all things was bouncing towards him, and Dante wasn't sure how to react. The random colt was frighteningly familiar to Dante, and he only blinked for a moment as the two males stood face to face from one another. At first Dante thought the colt was going to ram into him or something, but apparently he had stopped just quickly as Dante had! Maybe Dante was scary looking... as if the colt had room to talk, he was definitely a sight himself! It reminded him of... "Um, hello?" he then said, while realizing he was terrible with children. This was SO not his thing.

Tess was very akin to his sister. His curiousity was infectious and always at the brim, his eyes always were always alight with the want for knowledge, he had to know things, he had to experience, he just lacked one slight thing; a sense of closeness. Tess was a wanderer, but he couldn't help it, his youthful energy kept him brimming, he had to experience!
And... he had done it again.
Whilst Tal was finding herself again in a place she had told him was "like a home", tess had seen a little bug flutter off, something with bright colours and wide wings - it was beautiful to him, and made him want to know more about. At first it was just jumping and hobbling around hi sister, illuminated eyes following it - but as it trailed away from his sister, so did he. Then, he lost it, the little bug had taen to the sky on a puff of wind, and Tess was along again. This was never good, from previous experiences since they had started the adventure from Jack's side.
It had taken Tess a few moments to gain his barrings, but when he finally understood, he took in a mad dash, hoping to find his dark sister once more - feeling bad about wandering from her side, again. If it hadn't been for the Stallion's bright coat, he wouldn't have ever seen him in the first place, and that would have been even MORE of a disaster. Stoppind dead in his tracks, Tess let out a mixture between a surprised meep and a confused squeek, unsure as to what he should do now - Tal usually was the one who said something when he outstepped her hooffalls! What would he do!
Hearing the stallion speak, Tess' dark ears perked high - he was conversing? Usually the colt got anywhere from awkward stares to mumbled remarks from Stallion and Mares - maybe this was one of the "Good Soquili" that his sister talked about. Taking a deep breath, he saw no reason why he shouldn't attempt at this "conversation" thing. "H.. Hi! Hello! I'm sorry, I -ah- almost walked right into - uh - you" he stated, his muzzle opening and closing in a jagged way, a somewhat pinkish light escaping his maw when it could, eyes scanning the stallion over. "I.. -uh- think that'd it would have been kind of disasterous, wouldn't it?" he finished, with a worried laugh - he was bad at this, wasn't he!

Dante was once again surprised, since the foal was rather polite and sweet! Letting a more comforting grin evolve on his face, he shook his head slowly, before stating, "Not at all! Please don't worry about it... are you lost or something? Can I help you out at all?" Of course his first assumption was that all children were lost, since he himself used to get lost for days! He had to admit, the foal was somewhat mature, and that was also surprising in his opinion. "Trust me, a small collision wouldn't have been a disaster." he then added, with a small chuckle of amusement. Children were so innocent like that, he would have enjoyed such a mindset if he had one!
"So what's your name?" he then said, while blinking slightly. When he stared carefully at the foal, he realized it looked awfully similar to TAL. Tal, where the heck had she been! She would probably ask him the same thing. "My name is Dante." he then stated, while continuing to see the resemblances between Tal and the foal. After a split second, his faced quickly transformed into one of shock! Did Tal have children that he didn't know about? Some best friend he was! "Uh, uh, who is your mother?" he then asked, with a somewhat shaky voice. "And your father.." Ah yes, that would be important too, wouldn't it? If Tal started a family without him knowing, that would be like, the ultimate slap to the face!
But, before resulting to crazy accusations, Dante took in a deep breath while trying to think of other scenarios that made sense. The foal didn't look any different from Tal, so what would that mean? He was completely lost, he SO did not know kids.

Tess' glee was impossible to hide, he had successfully found someone who didn't scorn him, or suddenly burst into prayer or worry by crossing his path. With a wide grin, his tail swayed behind him, the long appendage faintly glowing - not enough to make things reflect the light like Tal, but close enough resemblence. Giving a soft sigh, he gave a little nod to the elder Stallion, before talking again, his voice soft and almost a strong whisper - just like his fathers, but less of an S slur. "Well, that's good, I would have been reprimanded - er - .. like the time I got stuck in a tree, I swear it walked infront of me!" He attempted to bluff. In his mind, the tree was the attacker, and he was the victim, he was so much smaller than it!
"Dann-teee" he voiced, suddenly, when he received the name of the pale stallion before him, his maw opening and contorting slightly to fit around the name. He was sure it had been mentioned before during the travelling, and found that it was a good name. Giving a curt nod and taking a deep breath in to look big and mighty, like his fatherunit. "My~ name is Tess! It's short for Tesseract - I think." he stated semi-boastfully, his illuminant eyes rolling up at the end of the statement, to show that the word still evaded even him. When Dante suddenly switched the questions from the foal to his genetics, his maw sobered up, and head tilted curiously.
"My mother unit? Umm. Tal told me once, P.. Ppppp.. Peryton yes. Mother-unit! And fatherunit is Jack. Tal calls him Jack, so I've gotten to call him Jack. We were travelling with him but Jack said he wanted to go somewhere alone so we're travelling without him for now. I also have five siblings, 3 sister, and two brothers." He answered truthfully, seeing no reason to hide anything away from the pale stallion, before smiling genuinely, "Do you know mother-unit? Or Jack? You look like you know something."

"I know of Tal!" he then said, excitedly. Ah ok, so this was Tal's LIL' BRO. Dante felt his soul drift back into his body once again. "Tal and I are good buddies.." with a slight pause, he blinked once again while looking back and forth around the area. "If you are here.. where is Tal?" Oh Tal. Did she lose her new brother already? Dante was highly amused by this, and he instantly started laughing at the situation. "Did you run away from her or something? Tal is too sweet for that sort of thing." Seriously, he doubted she was harsh or rude to Tess at all! "I am glad to hear you have a load of siblings!" As his family got bigger, so did Tals. Funny how that worked! He could imagine that she was completely excited.
"I've never met your father or mother, but Tal has told me so much about them. And I am sorry, I didn't mean to be so nosey. Its just that.. I saw you, and knew you were somehow related to Tal." Yes, a TAL he had not seen in AGES! "Shall we go look for Tal, Tess?" he then asked, while enjoying the similarity in names. Even though Tess looked like Tal, they were still quite different in their details and coloring. Dante could only imagine the other siblings as being just as unique, and he grinned while even pondering the images.
"Which direction shall we search in? I believe you are the expert, and I am happy to follow!" Dante didn't mind not being the grown up, he sucked at that position anyways. "You sister always took care of me back in the day." he then confessed, while glancing at the little foal. "I bet she takes good care of you too!"

Hooray! Progress! The colt had had a hunch that this new face in his life was just a reoccuring face in the family, and when he burst out about knowing Tess's eldest sibling, his own face held a glow for finally finding a missing piece of the puzzle - so he did know this face! He was sure Tal had talked about Dante a few times - she was a very open-minded creature. "Yes, big family - Tal keeps making fun of Jack because of it - it always gets split up funny, Peryton keeps some, Jack keeps the others, I dunno why..." he said, before squishing his face up a bit at the Stallion, showing his concern.
"But, where is Tal, that's a good question, I was with her.. earlier.. and then I got kind of side-tracked..." a glance away for a moment, "She says I have tunnel-vision when I get interested in something, whatever that means. I'm sure if we start walking, we'll find her, I remember being near the entrance of some trees, on a high place..." he wandered off verbally, before turning around and looking, whilst starting to trot - eyebrows high, as if trying to find his bearings again, his long tail flickering behind him softly.
After a few moments, he turned around and smiled with his jagged mouth - an unnatural, but sweet smile, "She's so easy to find, she sounds of glass and metal, s'how I remember her - she's always been with me, she's a good caretaker, yes." before turning back to the open field before him "Let's find her, I'm sure she's around, she gets frantic when I'm missing, searches everywhere."
---
Indeed, Tal was starting to have a minor mental break down - who would have thought losing a foal was so EASY when you got into such a vast open space. She had always readily assumed that she would see him from miles away - he was not the most normal looking little foal - and there were no trees for him to hide around or behind.
Giving a small huff as she came to another dead end, she rose herself back to her regular height - a mighty sized mare in regards - she was quite larger than normal - a trait she had received gracefully from her fatherunit. It helped in most situations - but was doing a load of nothing in finding her little brother. What would she tell Jack? O yeah Jack, I forgot, I lost tess in a gigantic wide open space, suprisingly no trees, please don't eat me, I still love you!
Ugh, Cheesy.
Turning to start her search again, she worked up into a slow trot, before frowning deeply and calling out again "Teeessss, you little monster, where are yooooouuu~~!! Come out and I promise not to eat youuuu~!"

"Eh, that's normal for any family." Dante then said, as he and Tess started walking to search for Tal. "As long as you are happy, everything always works out you know? The concept of a family staying completely together is a bit strange, since everyone is busy with their lives and stuff." Because Dante was so immature, he found it easy to connect with younger individuals and beings. He found it as no surprise that he was getting along with Tess so well, since for him it was natural to act childish and fun.
"I used to get side tracked all the time, it drove my mother crazy." he then added, while shaking his head with delight. "You should take lots of time to explore, especially when you are younger, since things start to get boring when you are older." just as he finished his sentence, he quickly added on to his somewhat-downer words, "BUT, its not like things are all boring as an adult. I just mean how you see things, like bugs, and trees, and other creatures too." Hm. He wondered if he saved himself from ruining Tess' childhood, but then again, Tess had a good head on his shoulders, and he didn't need to be lied to about anything. Dante could tell that that was from Tal's teachings, since she was always intelligent as well.
Dante's ears flickered as they heard.. a SHOUT. It was a loud shout, too, and it was quite amusing for the stallion. It was totally Tal. "Heh, I think I hear that, what about you?" he then said, while turning his smile back towards the colt. "Let's make our way over there, Poor Tal, she's probably worried beyond belief!" And it was partly Dante's fault, since he had distracted Tess for even longer as well. But oh well, Dante only laughed about that aspect of the story. Tal would forgive him, for sure.
"I suppose I should shout something, so we could find each other.." Dante was talking to himself at this point, but he didn't care. "Hey Tal, we are over here!" he then responded, in a somewhat measly sound. Yelling wasn't his thing, but he tried for the sake of his friend! Dante was hoping that they would all run into each other soon, since a yelling game was.. exhausting!

Tess couldn't help but continue smiling, and added a nod or two as he listened to the larger stallion chatter with him - was it so easy to make friends as this? Or was the stallion just an open soul? Whatever the case, it made the little colt feel pretty good to have someone who was not family to converse with - even if he was much larger than Tess. Not to mention, it sounded like he too, was just as rambuncious as the colt when he was younger - so he wasn't so strange.
"Exploration is key! Says Tal, she's pretty much been there for me since the start, so I learnt to take every opportunity and whatnot - but she definitally takes the cake as to what she considers "exploring." Totally a thrill seeker." he stated, giving a little movement that indicated "rolling his eyes" - Tess was someone who commuted more with words - like his father, than with actions like his older sister, but he could openly admit that he would never turn down a Tal Adventure.
Perking his ears, his eyebrows rose to the sky and his maw set aglow a little stronger, the pink light almost exhaling with every breath. "I hear her, yes I do! That's totally a Tal thing to do, auh. She's so strange." he exclaimed with a hearty childlike chuckle, waggling his long luretail before Dante bellowed out to his dear friend.
-----
On the other hand, Talullah had not been expecting any voices to return to her in this blasted vast little valley, her frown carved deep and all six eyes scanning the open grounds that dragged out from under her armoured hooves. But when she heard the sound of her name call from the clearing she stopped dead in her tracks. There was no way in hell her brother would sprout upwards so quickly - and that voice was very famil--
Ohhhh. Oh! Dante! Today was getting even better it seemed! A Dante's voice had appeared, and usually with Dante, things happened in very interesting and funfilled ways. Turning her head towards the area behind her, she spotted what she assumed to be the tiny flecks that were her brother and her best friend - hoping that she was right on her assumption. "Dannntee~~ Is that you~?" she called out tentativally before she took off into a quick trot towards the directly, the sound of metal on glass filling the little valley.
"Have you founddd my little brother? I hope you did!" She called out, giving a hearty laugh afterwards, closing in on them.

"Haha, she always was a thrill seeker. I knew her when she was your age you know." Ah yes, those were the days. He and Tal were always in search of adventure as children, and it was nice to see her sibling wanting to do the same! "You sister helped me open myself up to this world, she really is a great friend of mine. I'm really not sure how she puts up with me and my family's craziness." It would be great to finally see Tal again, they hadn't seen each other for quite some time! Family was always coming up in Dante's life, and for once he could rest assured and remain relaxed at the situation. There was more fun in the situation since Tess had appeared as well, and Dante was looking forward to watch the sibling interaction.
After hearing Tal's replies, he then changed his voice to shout back, "I'm with your brother right now! "Can you not find us? Or do you want us to come to you?" They were in a forest puzzle apparently, and Dante was starting to wonder where he and Tess had ended up as well! "I hope she isn't too far." he then commented at Tess, while knowing it was always a pain searching for individuals one wanted to see. "I guess we should wait here until she arrives? That way we won't be walking in circles trying to find each other." The thought sounded amusing in a mischievous kind of way, but Dante wouldn't have dragged such effort out of his friend! Maybe next time when he was feeling childlike!
"Hopefully I won't get in trouble for distracting you from her." he then said with a playful expression. "Though the thought of Tal yelling and being defensive does sound highly enjoyable. Tal was never a mean one, though." hm. When he thought about it, he had no recollection of Tal ever yelling at someone else. She was always much to kind! He tried to be like that, since she was a great influence on his personality.

"Yeah, she kind of does that." The colt answered honestly about his sister's readiness for adventure. "I kind of knew you had grew up with her, I have heard about misadventures with those she knew since her foalhood.." he trailed, smirking his wide as the waited patiently for his sister. She was hard to miss, as was he, but her teal stripes made it harder at times to see her in the grasses, especially at his range of sight.
"Tal's never been the kind to raise her voice, unless it was that happy crazy laughter that she uses when she finds something even more crazy to attempt. She jumped into a lake from a low cliff once." he stated, giving what could be assumed to be a light and amused eyeroll, before catching sight of her crowning over a low hill, her jaw set and her eyes scanning everywhere. "Ah, there she is now - TAL! We're over here!"
----
Were theeyyyy over here!? It was starting to become a game for the mare as her eyes widened to see if this would finally be the last of her little tirade across the valley. It only took a moment for her to recognise the almost silvery grey pelt in the distance, which made her heart leap to her throat, she had worried she was walking the wrong way entirely! Ohh, Jack wouldn't have to give her a talking to anymore, praise the gods.
Quickening her pace, she smiled a great smile when she finally noticed her little brother - how funny that fate thing was, bringing him to her close friend and not some kind of terrible creature who fed off colts and fillies, oh my! When she got close to Dante and Tess, she slowed down to a soft trot, before stopping right infront of them, smiling like an idiot.
"Dante, you're a saviour! This little bug ran off when I least expected it; I was worried I'd never find him. Course, I'm sure that's what everyone said about me as a filly." she started, her voice broken with a bit of a winded huff, having ventured for so long. "But I'm glad you're both all right." Before turning to Dante, "I'm surprised to see you here though, I didn't expect to see you so soon. I guess you met my little brother, then?"

Dante listened carefully to Tess's fast words, but his gaze was quickly interrupted since Tal had finally found them! He was glad that she was able to spot them, and he grinned sheepishly before answering her. "Oh he is quite the opposite of a bug if I may say so, and yes I had the pleasure of meeting him. So Tal and Tess.. you two are quite the sibling pair!" Seeing them next to each other was definitely a sight, and Dante couldn't believe how similar they looked. "I know, running into your brother sure was lucky! It will be nice for us all to catch up."
He paused then, before catching his breath a little. "So, how is the new-sibling life?" Dante always wondered what normal-sibling interaction was like, since apparently he had siblings that he didn't know about! "How many other brothers and sisters do you both have?" His eyes were now on Tess, and he smiled childishly at the little colt. He felt a similar connection that he found in Tal, and that was a nice feeling to remember. Tess didn't seem to be going through any 'odd' thought stages, and Dante figured that Tal was teaching him well about his unique and awesome heritage. If only he and Tal had been so lucky in their youth!
"Tess was just telling me about your cliff-jump, and I really wish I was there to see that!" He chuckled then before shaking his head slightly. "Don't be getting any crazy ideas from her, Tess! Though, Tal does have a LOT of good advice, she's always saving me, so I suppose its good to listen to her when you can too."

"Well, I consider him a little bug, flitting away, here and there - it gives me a bit of a headache, but he's cool, all and all." Tal stated firmly, her maw stretching out far - a wide and happy grin, showing her unending relief. Taking a few steps closer to the two, she took the question and churned it through her head a few times before deciding on an anwer.
"Family life.. it's a lot more than I expected; I have five siblings now, I've heard about my littermates, but not a lot. We got to keep more kids this time around; Tesseract here sticks with me, and Flip, who looks like Peryton, sticks around Jack. The youngest one, Abberation, lives with Peryton and Svet, as far as I know. I dunno about my oldest brother, I know very little about him." she riddled off, never losing her sunny disposition. "How about you Dante, anything new? How's Ezriel, your mom, and oh! Your sister? We haven't talked in a long while, I can't help but be curious~." she suddenly came out with, her eyes fixed on her closest friend, ears perked high - she wanted to know what he knew about his family on goings.
---
Tess had fallen back to regarding the friends as the reunited for the moment, his eyebrows pinned high and his eyes aglow with interest. It was amusing to watch them talk, everything seemed exciting, full of energy, where it be bad or good. He couldn't help but giggle at the use of his full first name; it was rarely said, but still made me chuckle. It sounded good to him, but so odd.
Hearing a call for his attention, he looked to Dante, with a smile on his face, this was a good day. "Oh, don't worry about me, I don't have the bravery that Tal has in order to do the things she does." he answered the query, only to be rewarded with a small glare frm his sister. She was wise and brave to him, but a little off tempo - everything to her was an adventure, another twist, some more turns, the world was an amusement ride for her.
Tess just liked a good conversation, here and there.

Before responding to Tal, Dante shifted his attention to Tess very quickly. "I think you are plenty brave! Your sister defies brave though, so she reigns in her own personal category. But you, you are much braver then I!" and with that, he nodded gently before bringing his eyes back on Tess's sister. His words were so true, Tal was seriously something else!
"My, five siblings! At least you have enough now to keep yourself busy." As if Dante could talk, he had family appearing left and right, so it was basically embarrassing for him to even bring up such an issue. "Now I know if I see anymore who looks like you, not to be freaked out at all. Your family has a unique heritage, so its easy to spot them for miles. I've always envied that about your family." Still smiling, he swished his tail lightly before thinking quietly about his own family. What update should he give her? Or rather, what WAS going on at the moment? He tried so hard to ignore it sometimes.
"Heh, family stuff. Let's see, for me personally I have nothing new to report, but that's ok. Ezriel is off and having more kids I hear, my grandparents have arrived now so I have them to keep my safe and happy. And apparently my father is changing his ways a bit too, but I'll see it when I believe it." Word traveled fast, but that wasn't enough to persuade Dante of anything. "My sister is good, I think she still spends a lot of time with my mother, so that is nice for the both of them." he paused then, and stomped his front hoof lightly. "Family members of 'mine' keep springing out of nowhere, so I can hardly keep up at all at this point. To tell you the truth, I have no idea how many siblings I have right now." As scary as that was, Dante was starting to feel ok with that. He wasn't targeted at all anymore, and he could finally just be Dante, not Reaper's son.
"So, besides family stuff anything new and exciting happening for you?" Even though Tal was just as busy with family, Dante always figured that she had some crazy-fun plans or something. "Gonna take Tess on any adventures, maybe with your dad as well?"

"You're telling me." Tess answered, offering up the stallion a quaint smile before, nodding and looking to Tal. "Tal definitally defines a higher bravery, she's a bit weird, but I rather like her as a sister; I always have someone to make sure I'm not lost." This was a repeat offense, and Tess was starting to assume he had a bad sense of direction.
Hearing them talk about family life, Tess couldn't help but perk up to learn more about this pale stallion that stood before him; a friend of Tal's is definitally someone to learn about.
Turning towards her little brother for a moment, she gave him a face that could only be discerned as a "Hey now!" look, before giving a chuckle and turning back to Dante, happy to know that her family seemed to be closing up around the seams, as more family members gathered around Jack and made themselves known.
"It's kind of nice, having others that look akin to me, I use to only have Jack to look for when it came to that, but now that it's a little easier. You konw?" she stated, giving a small smile as she nudged her brother a bit, before listening to Dante recant his family life, ears perked eye and eyebrow pinned, having only remembered a small family from whence he came from.
"Ezriel is having more kids?" she couldn't help to ask, one eyebrow lowering to give her a befuddled look, she recalle Rue, and how flustered the paler stallion was when she found out he had spawned. "That seems a bit odd, I hope whoever he's with is more compatable with him, he seemed frusterated the last time." she answered, peering at him. Tess, on the other hand, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow himself, as an on looker. "With your dad, I'd have to see it to believe it though. He's not in good graces in my books, you know that. It sounds like you're taking a lot of you time, and less time worrying about you're family, looks like it's doing you good, Dante."
As the attention turned back towards her, she couldn't help but smile and give a movement that could only be a shrug. "Before Tess, I took a bit of time to just enjoy adventuring, I've been around this area for such a long time that it was more of a walk than an adventure, it's been kind of calming to just enjoy being somewhere instead of running off to somewhere else new. But I still find myself breaking borders every few days, you know?" she stated, giving a nod.
