Welcome to the Dutch General Discussion! This is where we discuss everything related to the Dutch language, including, but not limited to:
-asking specific questions about Dutch vocabulary and grammar (people who can speak Dutch fluently can help answer others' questions)
-recommendations for Dutch dictionaries, websites, etc
-and everything else about the beautiful langauge of the Netherlands! 3nodding
Please note that although speaking in Dutch is allowed here, it is not mandatory.
Let's start off with a few facts about the Dutch language:
Spoken in: Netherlands, Belgium, Suriname, Aruba, Netherlands Antilles, South Africa, Indonesia, a part of France.
Total number of speakers: 24 million
Language Family: Germanic languages (along with English, German, Norwegian, and others)
Regulated by: Nederlandse Taalunie

english : im also a native dutch i can help you with writing dutch correct and i can translate english to dutch fairly well
