"Damn, I am so pretty," the proud unicorn muttered to himself, checking out his own exquisite face in the reflection of the small pond. Flicking back his sparkling starry colorful hair, the unicorn examined his long white, gold and blue horn. He looked deep into his ice-cold blue eyes and fell deeper in love with his own self. "What would this world do without you, you fine creature, you." The unicorn continued to flirt with his own reflection, then began to trot around the pong, still looking at himself so that he can watch his body move along. His muscles on his body were very well defined, he was undoubtedly one handsome stallion. And that was something Rock Candy would let nobody else argue. It was factual. There was no denying it.

Ariston noticed the sparkly stallion from afar, and he was thoroughly entertained by the young boy's tactics. As IF THAT ACT wasn't done before. Ah well, Ariston couldn't possibly be the only stallion in the world that completely loved himself. But still, he was in no mood to praise anyone. He was never in the mood to praise a stallion of all creatures, anyways.

"Ah, for a moment there I thought you were a mare!" With a usual chuckle, he meandered his way towards the other stallion, while dramatically brushing him off and residing in a comfortable position to the side of him. "I see you are enjoying yourself though, and that's all that matters." Though, the view was hardly wonderful. It was refreshing to see such a young stallion carry so much pride, so Ariston was happy to at least give the colorful boy that hint of credit. "If you weren't here in this world, I'd imagine we'd be missing some colors." he then stated, as if answering the stallion's question. "We all fulfill duties like that, I suppose its a part of life."

Rock Candy raised a brow at the deep-voiced long-haired-mare that approached him. Did that mare just call him a mare? What was this girl, blind? Perhaps he was confused for a pretty mare though. Yes, undoubtedly he would be a pretty mare - if he were a mare, of course! "Why thank you! The world would probably lack any and all colors without my existence, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't wonder how life looked before my birth. Were there colors? Was there anything at all even? I guess I can never be so sure, Miss..." Rock Candy peered into the mare's eyes, she had a rather masculine bone structure - oh crap - that's a stallion! "Miss..uh, mister...what is your name?"
PostPosted: Tue May 06, 2008 9:32 pm

"I can tell you from personal experience, since I have no problem declaring my age, that the world was just fine before you were born." he then added, while lowering his eyes a bit. Heh, they were silly stallions, weren't they? They both played the same game, with the same style. "You know, we can sit here and insult each other if we'd like, or I suppose we can try acting civil. I find it a bit silly that I haven't even learned your name, and yet I can already determine all sorts of things about you." he grinned slightly, while glancing his eyes upward again. New generations were coming every day, and he was behind on keeping up with such realities. He supposed it was good to have continuations of pride, since insecurity was disgusting for any race or creature.

"I'm Ariston." he then said, while flapping his wings at a breeze. "And I used to come to this pond when I was a mere lad.. you start to find better ones as you continue to travel." Time brought many ponds for Ariston, but he didn't need to share that tid bit. "And why exactly do you stare at yourself?" he then said, with an interested smile. He might as well ask this lad a few questions, since fighting could always just happen later in the conversation.

"If you were me, wouldn't you stare at yourself as well? Watch your own gorgeous reflection? Admire your own imperfect beauty?" asked Rock Candy with a soft smile, daydreaming about himself. "Not that you aren't too bad looking yourself, you are a very beautiful stallion with such long beautiful gorgeous hair." Rock Candy let out a gentle sigh. He admired this stallion's - Ariston's - beauty. Not nearly as much as his own, but he was quite handsome. "Seeing as you introduced yourself, I suppose I should as well. My name is Rock Candy. I'm built like a rock but I'm as sweet as sugar."

"Thank you for the compliment?" Ariston then said, with a slightly raised brow. He couldn't tell if the stallion WAS complimenting him, or if he was full of crap. Either way, a compliment was a compliment. Anyone could interpret it as they wanted. "I like how you describe yourself, I can see you put some thought into your name. Please tell me you use that line on the ladies?" Some females loved silly phrases like that, and Ariston wasn't really into those sorts of tactics himself. He enjoyed a more physical approach to picking up females, but hey, every stallion had his charm? "Well its nice to meet you, Rock Candy. How ever did you get such a name?" his voice was friendly, and he grinned kindly with a hint of compassion.

"I'm not entirely sure how I got the name, but I do have my theories," started Rock Candy. "My favorite theory is that when I was born, my beauty impressed my parents so much that they knew they had to give me the best name possible, thus, Rock Candy." It could also be that his mother's name was Glamrock and his father's name was Star Candy and his name is simply a combination of the two, but Rock Candy preferred his idea better. "And yes, I use it on the ladies, though it doesn't tend to take much wooing on my part for them to fall deeply in love with me and my looks. Sometimes I wish that a mare would fall in love with me for something other than my looks, that it wouldn't be such a physical relationship, but one that is more emotional. Then I think to myself, 'What would be the fun in that?'" Rock Candy laughed at his own perverted sense of humor, then gave a look to Ariston. "So, are you a ladies' man yourself?"
PostPosted: Wed May 07, 2008 7:15 pm

"Anything past physical is problematic." he then admitted, while sighing and shaking his head. "I can happily give you that advice, and freely. Your not missing out on emotions, besides female ideals like jealousy and hate. Females are full of conflict, and estrogen. Some of their estrogen is good, while the other parts are bad." Raising his eyes to the male's once again, Ariston then laughed to himself, while finally answering Rock Candy's question. "And yes, I am still fond of the ladies despite their peculiarities. And your theory on your name is most amusing! Its nice to have some other confidence around me, and finally. Stallions who refuse to like themselves are retarded." And yet, females STILL went for them. What a stupid combination! "Be careful with the ladies, you may find yourself having kids, like me. I still am blessed, my children are damn amazing." Eeeehh, he was OLD.

"Bleh, children. One thing I hope to never have. All they do is whine and complain, call you dad and make you feel old. The little runts can drain your pride in yourself," blabbered Rock Candy. "I feel sorry for you, Ariston, for having children. I may have some of my own as well, for all I know. I scarcely keep in contact with any of the mares that I have been with. I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing. For me, it would. But the rest of the world could use some more little versions of me, brightening up their day. That is, if they inherited more of my looks and less of their mothers. I have been with many mares, but none of them are nearly as attractive as you or I are, especially me." Rock Candy laughed some more, laughing proudly about his own arrogance. A little bit of pride never hurt anyone now, did it?

Rock Candy's words were very similar to the younger- Ariston way. That's exactly how Ariston used to think, and he always considered himself the center of the universe. A wide smile molded itself on Ariston's face as the stallion continued speaking, and he could only watch as if it was himself talking so many months or years ago. "I always envisioned children as being as bad as you say. But spreading genes is something I myself was passionate about, and my situation was lucky. The mare I spent time with was not emotional or conflicted with jealousy, so we have never experienced. Though, I have friends who HAVE experienced the worst cases, and it even effects their children as well. SO." He paused again, while flipping his hair out of his face. "Just make sure you are smart. You have a lot of life to live, and a lot of mares to meet." How silly was this? He was giving another stallion advice? Maybe he was drunk or something. But really, he WAS glad to be talking to someone so close to himself. He was far to stubborn to tell Rock Candy that too.

"Very true words," nodded Rock Candy. He was rather curious about Ariston's children and the mare that he was with, but wasn't sure if it was appropriate to ask. Oh well, Rock Candy didn't care much. It didn't really affect him any, and thats all that mattered. "Why don't you tell me a bit about your children? Sweet little quiet angels or little devils who think they deserve their father's time and company to fit their 'needs'?" Rock Candy rolled his eyes. Children were so needy and required so much of their parents. Why couldn't they just leave their parents alone? Did they really need to be taken care of?

"My children are actually grown, and one is having three children of her own." Ariston molded his grin into a more smug expression, and he shifted his eyes from the stallion's to the sky. "My children are wonderful, its hard to explain. I understand where you are coming from, the way you think is how I used to think. But I guess when reality happens, you just go with the flow." Rock Candy had no faith in children apparently, and Ariston then chuckled lightly at a small realization. "Did you have a bad childhood or something? Or did your parents not want to give you the attention you needed?" Oh my, was this a childhood related problem? Ariston couldn't tell!

Was Rock Candy giving off the impression that his childhood was less than perfect? That any part of his life was less than absolutely perfect? Rock Candy hoped not! He was perfect in every aspect! "No, no, nothing of the sort! My parents were both wonderful parents, I just don't feel that I could put up with them. I understand how they were able to put up with me - I was the perfect child, as usual. I never caused them any issues. But I'm a rarity, not everyone is as perfect as I am." Rock Candy laughed a bit, feeling only slightly guilty about the impression he had originally made.
PostPosted: Thu May 08, 2008 2:56 pm

"Why don't you list for me all the reasons why you are so perfect." Ariston then said, while slowly raising one of his brows. If Rock Candy had legitimate reasons, then Ariston would probably support whatever he was talking about. Ariston didn't need to justify the reasons he was perfect, and Rock Candy's arrogance was something Ariston never understood. It reminded him of the mare Tiffany, and he suddenly became weary at the thought of such a personality. Being perfect was most important in life, but Ariston was not perfect for the sake of others. He was perfect for his own sake, since that was all that mattered to him. "What does perfection mean to you?"

"List all of them? Well, I'll be glad to, but there are so many reasons for my perfection, it may take quite a while just to think of them all....or was that not a question meant to be answered? I'll answer it anyways if you'd like," he said. He thought for a moment about the second question. "And to me, perfection means...well. No vices, only virtues. No negative qualities, only positive qualities. Nobody could say anything bad about someone who is perfect, because they are perfect, there is nothing bad to be said. Anything bad said is only out of jealousy, but I don't blame them. If I weren't someone else, I'd be jealous of me too. Not that I care much about them anyways, all that matters is myself."
