A young man of about twenty approaches. "Excuse me, sir, but would I be addressing the captain of this airship?"

Rye looked up from his navigation plans. There was some young man trying to catch his attention.
"Ah, yes. Can I help you sir?"
Captain Grey seemed quite young to be an airship captain, but in reality he was only 23. Most midshipmen didn't receive their first command until they neared 30 or older, but luckily for Rye, his captain had died in the midst of battle, and through his actions proved to the society that he was ready to have control of his own quarterdeck.
Unfortunately, when they told him that, he wasn't expecting a tea cargo ship. The blasted thing looked ridiculous, and it didn't even have a proper gunnery.

"I've got a proposition for you. I've got an autogyro, but it's too small for trans-oceanic flight. So I'll provide my services as a ferryman and entertainer to your passengers and crew free of charge, if you simply take me along and provide the small amount of alcohol I require as fuel for my craft."

Alcohol to fuel his craft? Rye looked skeptically at the young man.
Still, the idea of having an autogyro on board was a good offer. If the man wanted booze for pay, sure thing.
"Very well. You'll be put up in the crew quarters. I hope that's okay with you." Rye told him.

"That is quite acceptable. My name is Myles Million, by the way." He extends his hand to shake on the agreement.

As Million departs to prepare his auto gyro, a young man can be seen can be seen walking in the Capitan's direction. hes wearing a leather plate over his torso with a pair of mechanical wings that seemingly sprout from the shoulders.
As he gets near he calls out, "Pardon me, but is this the H.M.S Flapdoodle? my Name is Daniel. I have acquired an old military airship and would like to offer my services as an escort to your vessel. she may not look like much but she has enough teeth to fend off unwanted visitors."

Rye turned his head towards the man who had headed towards them. The offer he proposed was an interesting one, but for the time being couldn't be utilized.
"Mr. Daniel. I'm very sorry to disappoint you, but the Flapdoodle won't be ready for departure for sometime yet. We're still getting getting contractors and engineers in here finishing up the last bits. I won't have this thing in flight until I'm sure it's absolutely ready. In a clinch, it would be disastrous if something were to malfunction." Captain Grey said eloquently. "I thank you for your offer, and perhaps I might be able to call upon it at a later time?"
