Niyana moved slowly threw the tall grasses of the large field. She was looking down as she moved her long blond hair swaying as she walked. Her bright eyes scaned the ground for colors for her eye and her plant of choice. She smiled thinking about how stupid she had been in the past. Jealous of a girl with natural talent...and making a fool of herself in front of a prince. She was determined not to do it again should she meet with them again.

One of the funny things about the Seconds world was that if you went there often, it was almost guaranteed that you would run into someone you had already met- especially if you kept visiting the same places over and over again.

Celebor had been coming and going from the Seconds world quite a bit more often than usual lately, and he had been frequenting different areas. Bringing different siblings home, being the one to bring home the vase of their new and as yet unborn brother, meeting the goddess Raspy and her friend Raspberry ... many things had happened to him lately, and in a world like this, he thought, his luck could only continue.

And here he was again, wandering around the meadow, his thoughts filled with how peaceful it was, how lacking in danger, especially in comparison to the world where he spent quite a bit of time chasing after the slavers who stole children from their families.

No, he mused. This was a peaceful place. And while there were times when it could be a little monotonous (he was used to a life of adventure, after all), on days like this he could only admire the tranquility that it offered.

And then he spotted a familiar face - a friend he had met earlier, briefly; but he had come away from that meeting with a positive outlook. He enjoyed the warrior's company ... despite his embarrassment at her reaction to his heritage.

"Hello, Niyana," he called out, waving to her as he changed direction slightly and headed towards her.

Niyana streached and let out a yawn. She always lived such a boring life. She just wandered around the second you world looking for dyes and desperately trying to draw on not living items. She hadn't even tried to work out skills with a weapon yet....she really should practice her skills if she was planning on going with her warrior blood.

She turned hearing a familiar male voice. She smiled at the Second elf and waved, "Good afternoon m'lord!" she called out. At least she didn't bow this time. Thank god for small saves from imbarassment.

Celebor chuckled softly, shaking his head slowly. He knew she hadn't called him that to embarrass him - it was simple instinct, he knew - and so he also knew that he couldn't say anything about it, as much as he would like to.

"How are you on this lovely day?" he asked her brightly, his deep voice rolling richly from his throat and carrying on the gentle breeze. "Quite beautiful, is it not?"

Niyana blushed she could see him stiffen at her words. Dang it. She sighed and looked up at the sky and around her as if seeing where she was for the first time. "OH yes it is...I hadn't noticed." She laughs and walks over towards him.

"I am fine how are you today?" She smiled and had to force herself not to bow. So what if he didn't like it she thought it would be so fun to serve a prince...or a king...or a warlord. She looks him over, "You look a bit stressed...is something wrong?"

Celebor blinked and a soft flush spread across his cheeks.

"Ah ... no," he replied softly. "I suppose I just need to relax ... things have been a little ... stressful lately. Between my brother and ... well, another brother ... and the kids that I've been helping to rescue ... I guess I just need a day to just do nothing."

He paused a moment, then added, "And you can relax around me too, you know ... be yourself ... do what you feel is right, natural."

He could see that she was trying to control her actions, doing something that wasn't natural for her, and he knew how hard it was to do something like that.

Niyana shakes her head, "No it bothers you when I act normal so I don't want to upset you..." she smiles and looks thoughtful, "Alright um sit down some where I will help you relax...and if you want you can tell me about your troubles." She smiled sweetly at him.

Celebor smiled softly at Niyana. "I appreciate your concern," he murmured, moving to take a seat on the ground, "but I would feel better if you just acted naturally."

He lay back in the long grass and put his hands behind his head as a pillow, then stretched out to his full length and closed his eyes gently.

"Have you ever left the Seconds world?" he asked her by way of introduction to what was on his mind.

Niyana sits next to him, "If you lay on your stomache I can give you a massage to relax you. I am very good with my hands." She smiled down at him then looked up at the sky and shook her head, "No...I have never left this world, but I do enjoy hearing of other's journeys."

Celebor cracked one eye open to peer curiously at Niyana. He had never heard of a massage before - though he had to admit, her words made it sound intriguing. Without questioning her, he rolled obediently over onto his stomach and closed his eyes once more, waiting to see what she would do.

"This world," he began, "is ... very peaceful. Very lucky. The world my mother is from ... while it is just as beautiful ... is a very dangerous and frightening place, at times."

Niyana smiled and shifted to lean over the second elf. She started to rub his shoulders gently. Her hands starting to work out his tension.

She smiled, "It must be nice to have to live in a world that is exciting and adventurous." She sighed, "I would like to to see other worlds. They sound very interesting...It must be nice to see different ones."

She worked his upper back now. "Man you are very tense....you are working too hard in the other worlds I am sure of it." she giggled, "My lord.." she teased him softly.

The tips of Celebor's ears turned a beet red when she called him lord, but he just laughed it off, trying to hide his embarrassment. It helped, what she was doing to his shoulders - he could feel himself already beginning to relax.

"To be fair," he murmured, "I don't live there. My mother was born there, but she left. We live in Gaia now. But you're right, it is nice to see so many different worlds."

He paused. "Arda, where my mother is from ... it's mostly elves, like her, but there are other races. Humans. Dwarfs. The humans, I suppose, are like the humans anywhere. There are good ones and bad ones. The dwarfs ... are generally not so good. They're made a business of stealing elven children from their families and using them as slaves. I work there now, with my uncle and my grandfather, rescuing the children from the slavers so that they can return to their homes."

Niyana laughed warmly watching the tips of his ears darken. She debated freaking him out but resisted the urge. She listens to his stories, "Hey everyone can be bad and good, I am sure not all elves are good...but that is horrible. I am sorry to hear about the children being stolen. But are you sure they are being used for slaves Celebor?"

She found a hard knot and started to work it good. "Things are always what they seems. Maybe they are trying to find brides? I mean sometimes thats the only way to get difference species to join?" She sighed, "I am sorry I am sure that you know what your doing but please just be safe...I would not want my friend coming back dead or horridly injured. But then you would be stuck with me being your nurse and making sure your in prefect health before going back to save others." she said in a protective but sweet voice it was soft almost like velvet warmed in the sun.

"Besides warrior healing techniques are not always the nicest and you might have your fair share of battle scars...but if you never need someone to help take care of one of the kids or maybe to teach your own kids, when you have them, some moves I am always hear somewhere around the Second you World."

Celebor winced when she found the knot, but relaxed once more when she started to work it out.

"They are definitely being used for slaves," he assured Niyana, kicking off his boots. "They come back ... starved ... abused ... and with such a servantile attitude ... boys and girls, none of them older than six or seven years old ... as for joining the races ..."

He sighed, more from the pleasure of the massage than from the sadness of his story.

"Every race in that land has it almost as a religion that they would never mix the races. To them it's the most ... disgusting thing imaginable. More so than ... well ... incest. It would be like intercourse with animals to them."

He was pleased on the other hand that she was worried about him. He couldn't say why. He had after all ten siblings that all worried about him, and his parents, and his grandparents, and more aunts and uncles than he could even count ...

But with her, it was different.

"Still," he mused, more thinking aloud than actually teasing, "I don't think it would be all that awful to have you as my nurse."

Then he realized what she had said about him having his own kids. He had never really thought about it before. Didn't that mean that he first had to find a mate? He considered the idea briefly. He was happy with what he was doing at the moment, but ... all things considered, he thought, he wouldn't turn down the opportunity if it presented itself.
