Where was she? Sylph had been following her fire red haired charge for the day, and had seen many a thing while she was in his shadow - and it had only been a few days since she 'sprung' alife from her little wicker home - the blood stained basket had been a close call for the little filly, and she intended to see the world before she found herself so close to death once again. These angel wings would get her through life, said the priest in her little teepee.
It was no time like the present to do a bit of exploring, she thought to herself. So, taking a deep breath, she let the winds of this little valley invade her personal bubble, it was a good day indeed to be alive!

Shade had gotten lost... he'd been following Daddy when oops... he made a wrong turn and now he was... where was he...? Oh wait, that was the point of being lost, you didn't know where you were. Well, that confirmed it, Shade didn't know where he was so... he was lost. He didn't even remember where he'd come from! His head had been down... oops...
Getting a bit scared from being on his own Shade backed up, accidentally bumping into a nearby shrub. He jumped forward quickly and let out a small gasp, trying to keep his voice down. He'd been warned about little lost foals... things came to eat them for dinner just like he ate the grass! Oh dear, oh dear, how troublesome, where had his Daddy gone? Why was he here, alone, lost...? Did he do something to deserve such a horrible fate?
Something buzzed around the little colt's head and he quickly rushed out of the way and behind some large grass. Was the buzzing thing going to eat him? Wait... didn't somebody tell him once that buzzing things were harmless? He couldn't remember! His lip began to quiver and feelings became overwhelming, he was going to cry... he was alone and lost and turning into a cry baby.
Oh bother..

Excitement had turned to worry after a few moments, as the little filly realized how alone she was in such a vast area. Puffing out her chest, she figured there was no time like the greater to figure out wat she was going to do to find something, or someone remotely recognizable - it had not taken long for the fire-stallion's solumn and dark tones to play with the nightmares on the edge of her conscience. He was such a mean stallion!
Taking a few dainty steps frm her little place on top of the world, her eyes shone with a curious light - a sound had started echoing in the back of her mind - a sound one receives when they've hit their head, or gotten dizzy or heard a loud sound. A sound that usually meant annoying little flying creatures. Her curiousity got the better of her, and taking a few more hesitant steps, she neared the foliage line, her short fluff of a black tail flickering left and right from the anticipation.
Giving no heed to the ground under her feet, the sound of snapping twigs and leaves from the previous fall exclaimed her arrival, without her notice.

Forget the buzzing, he had bigger problems, problems in the form of a foal ready to walk on his head! Maybe if he curled up in a ball and waited it wouldn't crush his brains or something. Then there would be another problem, how did he talk to her? What if she was mean? Oh no, he didn't want to talk to her, he had to runaway and go find Daddy! Well, that would have worked if he knew exactly where "Daddy" was... His long, lion-like tail flicked behind him as a worried head lifted and looked up, bright green eyes blinking at the blue blob moving toward him. His eyes were out of focus, he quickly closed them and shook his head. Better, at least he could see the little foal coming at him now.
Wait, coming at him? He had to move! So, picking up his wobbly self, Shade galloped away to behind a tree before the stranger had a chance to step on him. The only downfall was that now the stranger had seen him and what if they were a bully? He didn't think he could outrun them, he wasn't very fast... and normally he had to stop very quickly because he couldn't catch his breath! Oh he was in a pickle now...
He'd once heard someone say that even foals weren't safe, they'd gobble you up if you weren't careful! Well, there may or may not have been truth to that but Shade believed it. He didn't want to be gobbled up, he'd just barely left his basket and had he known the world was so terrible he would have stayed inside it! "Oh dear, oh dear.." Shade whispered to himself while making faces, how'd he manage to get in trouble already?
