"Mm, could you hold this one too?" Mitsuko dumped a book into one of her guard's already-full hands. Grinning, she chirped a thank you. Taking a step back, she looked at the huge pile of books that the men surrounding her held, and shook her head. "You know what? I can't choose - lets just buy all of them!"

Aya's - Mitsuko's maid - birthday was coming up soon and Mitsuko had decided to take a trip to the mall to buy her a gift. Unfortunately, the moment she and her guards (who insisted on following her everywhere) arrived, the girl completely blanked out on what to purchase. Jewellery, maybe? Or clothing? The possibilities were endless. With no other choice - or at least, she couldn't think of a better idea at the time - she dragged her aghast guards to every single store, one at a time.

After spending somewhere between five minutes to half and hour in each store, they had finally arrived to the quaint little bookstore. The idea of buying a book as a gift for Aya was a good one, so she decided to focus entirely on picking out the gift from this store. There was only one problem - she didn't know what kind of book to buy. And so began the two hours of browsing before Mitsuko finally decided to buy all of the books that she had picked out. All 36 of them.

Passersby turned to look as a fashionably dressed little girl skipped along, followed by what appeared to be her servant laden down with various bags. "Please tell me we're going home now," the 'servant' pleaded, narrowly avoiding a trashcan as he stumbled along. "My arms are killing me."

"That's ridiculous, Nii-san!" the little girl scoffed, turning to glance at her brother. "This place is full of things I've never seen before! We're going to look in every single shop!" She giggled in delight and resumed her skipping, stopping now and then to peek into a store with wide eyes.

"I told you to wear something simple, Ena-chan," her brother muttered, shifting a few bags in an attempt to make carrying them easier. "People are staring. We don't want any attention."

Ena put her hands on her hips and pouted. "This is my simplest outfit! And that's why we're here anyways. So I can get some commoner clothes to fit in on these occassions." The girl brushed her bangs to one side as she looked around for another shop to explore. "Anyways, we're attracting far less attention than if the guards were here. You don't know how long it took me to convince them to not follow us!" Though their bodyguards had reluctantly agreed not to tail the two, they were still stationed outside the commoner mall in case of emergency.

"Now then! Let's go over here. I want to get something other than clothes." Ena pranced off in the direction of what appeared to be a bookstore, her grumbling brother in her wake.

"Th-th-thank you miss. Have...have a nice day..." The cashier was still in shock as he handed Mitsuko's guards the bags of books. Oblivious to the crowd of commoners around her, gaping, she beamed brightly at him. "Thank you! And you too!"

Looking at her guards, she nudged them with an elbow. "Say bye bye now, everyone." Obediently, they all bowed at once before turning to leave the store, Mitsuko in the front.

The girl paused as she noticed a younger girl prancing towards the store. Grinning, she couldn't help but raise a hand to wave. 'Wah, she's such a cute little girl!' Noting how she dressed - in far more expensive looking clothing than most - the fact that this girl may also be from a wealthy family dawned on her. Well, that made sense, didn't it? After all, she had a servant following behind her.

...Though that servant looked oddly familiar. Very familiar indeed.

"...Takumi-kun?"

Well wasn't that nice? People were waving at her. Ena smiled widely and waved back enthusiastically before looking behind the older girl to see that she was being followed by bodyguards holding her purchases. ...Bodyguards? Even a 9 year old knew clearly that only wealthy and important families had bodyguards. To meet another upperclass person in a commoner mall!

Ena grinned and hopped up to the girl, her long ebony hair bouncing behind her."Hi! What are you buying today?" she asked cheerily, before noticing that the other girl was staring at her brother. Turning around, she waved for him to hurry up.

"Look, look! Someone who's not a commoner!" she exclaimed, earning her a few stares. Takumi raised an eyebrow as he staggered towards his sister, looking past her to see a familiar bronze-haired girl.

"Ah... M-mitsuko-chan?"

Covering her mouth to stifle a giggle, Mitsuko knelt down so that she was eye level with the younger girl. "Hello!" She replied, before motioning towards the bags her guards held, "I was buying a birthday present for one of my maids. I got a little carried away though." Smiling sheepishly, she tried - unsuccessfully - to stifle another laugh as the girl called over to the 'servant'. The one Mitsuko had found so familiar.

Once he was up close and spoke, Mitsuko confirmed that she had been correct. "Takumi-kun! Hello! What're you doing at the mall?" Pausing, her gaze drifted towards Ena again, and she perked up a little, "Takumi-kun, is this the little sister you mentioned before?"

Without waiting for an answer, she stuck out her hand towards Ena, smiling from ear to ear. "I'm Takara Mitsuko, but you can just call me Mitsuko or 'Tsuko. I'm your big brother's classmate."

Behind her, her guards bowed to Takumi and Ena, to the point where it looked like they were about to snap. Mitsuko's parents had always trained them to be polite to other wealthy families.

"Birthday present?" Ena repeated. "Oooh. Sounds nice!" She didn't know the birthdays of the maids at the mansion, and mentally noted to ask for them once they returned. Birthday presents for servants seemed like a wonderful idea. More items to add to my shopping list! she thought with glee.

Takumi set down a few bags and flexed his arms to work out the soreness. "Escorting my sister," he replied bluntly. "She's never been to a commoner mall and wanted to go after discovering the commoner outfit in my wardrobe." He gestured to his clothes: a plain blue shirt and cargo pants. It was the only true commoner outfit he had, worn on various outings to stay undercover. Apparently it also demoted him to servant status when in the company of his stylishly-dressed sister.

"I'm Ena!" the little girl piped up. She shook Mitsuko's hand and beamed. "Nice to meet you, 'Tsuko-san!" She giggled at Mitsuko's bodyguards and waved at them. "Hi!" she called loudly. By now they were drawing a small crowd, and Ena glanced around to blink at the commoners. Why were they staring? Weren't they allowed to hold a conversation in a mall?

"Yupyup!" She nodded eagerly, "My maid has been with me for such a long time, that she's really more of a friend than an actual maid." She pointed towards the bags of books, and sighed. "But I think she'll scold me when she sees how many books I've bought her."

Patting Takumi's shoulder, Mitsuko grinned as she supressed more laughter. "Aw, well, your sister seems cute! I wish that I had a younger sibling too!" Taking a step back to take in Takumi's clothes, she nodded with approvement. "Looks good, Takumi-kun! Very casual." She too, had decided to dress more like a commoner that day. A simple white and pink blouse, and a pair of jeans as all that she wore. Of course, while she had intended on dressing simply just to blend in with everyone else, she found that it wasn't quite working...

Maybe it was the bodyguards?

"Nice to meet you too, Ena-chan!" She chirped, smiling at the younger girl. Her smile grew in amusement when she called a greeting towards her guards. It was then that she noticed the small crowd staring at them. "Ooh, it seems we've attracted some attention..." She commented sheepishly, raising a hand to raise towards those who were staring.
