RainWhisper Purred. What could be better. A huge rabbit laying at her paws, the sun shining on the moors making the breeze simply perfect. and then there was the company... She looked around. So many cats had returned home... a little hungry but unharmed. She sighed.
Her honey colored eyes glanced about. NightCloud wasnt far away. and it wasnt any surprise that Mudclaw was leading his gang away. She rolled her eyes. It wasnt her business... she had to keep telling herself that. and then maybe...maybe she would believe it. She purred and sat up dragging the rabbit she set it down in front of nightcloud. "Care to share?" RainWhisper was very light in the food she took. until the rest of her clan were full fed she went huingry she had stayed on the moors when windclan had left... so she was in a fit condition... while clan was hungry... It made her skin crawl at the thought.

Nightcloud looked at Rainwhisper, her eyes betraying how grateful she felt. "Thank you, Rainwhsiper. I'd love to." She noticed that Rainwhisper seemed a bit distracted and looked to where the other warrior's eyes were staring. "Mudclaw..." she whispered, barely audibly. She shook her head. "He makes my fur crawl, that traitor," she said, knowing very well how loyal Rainwhisper was to her Clan.
She looked around absent mindedly at all of the cats in her Clan. She stared at the rabbit sitting upon Rainwhisper's paws and suddenly felt a pang of guilt at the thought of eating the plump rabbit while the others were seemingly starving. There's bound to be enough food for them, she thought, trying to shake away the thought. She then lie down and awaited for Rainwhisper to join her, with the rabbit.

RainWhisper spotted the hunting patrol returning with a bounty of food. THat made it ok to eat. She bent her head and took a bite of the rabbit. Her gaze went back over her shoulder. She hadnt ever felt comfortable around the tom and she had heard the roomers.
She glanced at the black she-cat when she heard the whisper. "Yeah... Hes been... odd lately... im worried... we dont have time for the likes of traitors in the clan." She shook her head before taking another bite. "Do you have an opinion... I personally think that if he was the right cat for the job then he would have been put there but apparently he wasnt good enough.... was he." She smiled and flicked her tail lightly.

She watched with Rainwhisper as the latest hunting patrol returned. Their mouths were full of plump prey. She smiled. This means the clan is getting it all together again. She was happy at the thought, and took a bite of the fresh-kill lying at her paws. "I'm worried, too." she shook her head, emphasizing her worry. "Yes. In my opinion, if he really was the right cat to lead the clan, he'd be leading the clan instead of plotting his revenge. I believe the right cats were put into leadership."

RainWhisper smiled. "Yes... yes thats true.... Although i know mudclaw is rallying his support.. im scared to think of what is to happen... " SHe took another bite of the prey then sat back. "You know... Its sad to see a civil war between the windclan cats... Us on one side and them on the other." She glanced at the black she cat. "Im sorry i head crowfeather stopped in with them... so that was rude of me..."

"Yes, yes, I know what you mean. I'm quite frightened too." she ripped off a small bite from the rabbit, then looked back up at Rainwhisper. "I mean, what if he gets more supporters than expected? Then how will we cope? Will we be forced over to their side, in fear of dying?" She looked around thoughtfully, then turned back to the warrior that she was sharing prey with. "I agree, it is quite sad. A civil war? It's a shame. Oh, and... Crowfeather..." she had a distant look in her eyes as she spoke her mate's name then snapped back into it. "Don't worry about it." Nightcloud took another bite of the prey and looked back up at Rainwhisper.

RainWhisper frowned at her friend. "Whats wrong?..." She twitched her tail "Did he hurt you... ill take his ears off if he did..." She frowened after the group. "They cant force us to do anything... We always have choices." she nodded. She truely believed that no matter what there were choices in life.

Nightcloud has a faraway look in her eyes. "It's complicated..." She looked back down at the piece of fresh kill, suddenly losing her appetite. "Yes," she started, recovering from the memory that was all too recent to forget. "If a true rebellion does break out, I will be fighting against Mudclaw and his band of crow-food followers. We do have a choice, and I know what mine is." She nodded, staring at Mudclaw once again. He was whispering something to the others, some of them nodding. If something like a rebellion broke out, she knew what side she'd be on.

RainWhisper frowned. "Ill be right with you." She smiled and twitched her tail lightly. "I have time you know... if you think it would help...im a great listener." She felt bad for the black female. Who knew what really happened.
She twitched her tail. "Come on..let me introduce you to my brother... he can make anyone smile." She licked the black cats shoulder reassuring her it would be alright.

Nightcloud sighed. "I caught him with another. And not just any other... She was gorgeous. Sleek fur, all shiny and whatnot..." Sadness grew in Nightcloud's large, green eyes as she let out the secret. "And, she was a RiverClan cat. That's worst of all! It's bad enough that I'm not good enough for him, but a RiverClan she-cat?" Nightcloud let out a huffy breath, her fur bristling. She had looked away from Rainwhisper when she had spoken, but she turned back to her now. "Your brother?" Nightcloud was bad with remembering relations in the Clan, so it wasn't surprising that she found a loss in her memory when trying to grab at the name, or face, of Rainwhisper's brother.

RainWhisper didn't miss a beat. Although her stomach churned with distaste. the tom was using another clan too... She sighed. Smiling she turned"Its not that your not good enough its your too good..." She nodded and nudged Nightclouds shoulder. "Yes...my brother... Birchsong....you remember him right?"
Honestly she hadn't thought that nightcloud has been introduced properly but that was Birchsong's fault always running around doing random things. She shook her head. "Hes in the warriors den now... Come on...he will make you laugh." Rainwhisper's whiskers twitched and she laughed softly. "I bet you two will get along famously..."

Nightcloud smiled feebly at her friend's attempt to cheer her up. "Yeah, probably." She lowered her eyes to hide her sadness, but perked up again when Rainwhisper mentioned her brother, Birchsong. "Oh yes! Birchsong, I remember him." She smiled. She hadn't formerly met the warrior, whom she'd heard was great, but she'd seen him in action. He was a great fighter as well as a humorous personality.
"Sure! I'd love to formely meet Birchsong," Nightcloud smiled and rose. Get along? Nightcloud would finally love to get along with a great male. And not some lying, cheating, traitor of a male, no...

RainWhisper smiled "Good." She nodded and headed toward the warriors den. "BirchSong?" SHe pushed into the den and plopped playfully on her sleeping brother."Wake up someone wants to meet you..."
BirchSong Groaned and rolled over. He opened his eyes as he was pushing his sister off and instently they landed on the black she-cat. He would kill hs sister. He sat up and put on a smile. Why did she bring nightcloud to him... He knew in the back of his mind she had a mate and was off limits but that couldnt make him fel any different."Hello...Im Birchsong..."
Rainwhisper frowned. Her brother was acting weird... well... It was a start. "Birchsong...meet nightcloud...nightcloud my brother Birchsong." She smiled and turned back to her brother expectantly.
This was the part where he said the she-cat was beautiful then said something to make them laugh...for the life of him he couldnt find anything funny to say... and you couldnt tell a she-cat she was beautiful unless you had a joke right after it... He simply nodded his head... "its nice to finally meet you"

A streak of red appeared on Nightcloud's fur, hidden by her thick, black fur. "It's very nice to meet you too, Birchsong..." The last word, his name, was spoken so softly she wasn't even sure if anyone else had heard it. She could tell that some sort of feeling was surfacing from Birchsong's fur, but she shrugged it off quickly.
Nightcloud had often heard of Birchsong's quick-wit and funny jokes, and was astounded when he didn't speak much more.

Birchsong looked at nightcloud and smiled. Well he could try if thats what they wanted from him then maybe Rainwhisper would take temptation out of his way. "NightCloud... the beautiful Nightcloud...." He paused for a moment trying to think of what to say. "..." And he couldnt. "I guess im just outta wit for today... You will have to come back later and see if its back..." Had he just invited her back.... oh good god her did... Rainwhisper fell over in a fit of giggles. Maybe he had actually made a joke and not known it...
Rainwhisper however was laughing souly at the two of them... Nightcloud had become shy and so had her brother... that never...ever happened... "dont mind me... really"she laughed and shook her head. "I never thought...." She trailed of when BirchSOng shot her a glare. She sighed. "Never mind..."
