*Cillian was sitting a bit away from the edge of the lake, having learned early on that the giant squid was a bit too friendly to students who got close enough to the water*
*He was sitting cross-legged on the grass, a Defense Against the Dark Arts book in his lap, though eh was looking more at the surroundings than the text* I'm pretty sure I'll at least be good at Dark Arts, with Dad and Father always going on about it...
*Pulls his bag closer to him, going through it to see if he could find a book that might actually be worth studying and sighing a bit to himself, tail swishing back and forth in boredom* Too bad it isn't a bit warmer outside...

*Walks quietly across the grass, heading towards the lake and the small figure he could see sitting near it*
*Sits down carefully next to Cillian, and then leans back on his hands, watching his brother rifle through his bag*

*Raise an eyebrow at him, listening closely to his answer*

Oh! *perks ears up, forgetting about the bag, turning to grin at his brother* Hey Phee. I guess you could say that... I just didn't feel like talking to anyone or anything so I came out here to read. But it's the beginning of the year so I mean... it's not too exciting. Classes are always boring for awhile until they think we know enough...
It's not like I was being made fun of or anything, though, if that's what you mean... you know, Phee, you don't always gotta worry about me. *Raises an eyebrow too, smile fading a bit* Anyways, what are you doing out here? No one around inside to flirt with...?
*Pulls his bag over into his lap, pretending to be looking for something, staring into the orderly books and papers like his bag was full of more interesting stuff*

*Raises his eyebrow at Cillian again, watching him rifle through his bag some more*
That's not what I was on about, but it's nice to know, I suppose. I was just making sure you were alright. It's odd enough being here in the first place, I just wanted to see how you were adjusting.
............................. *Pauses* .......... and no. The people here are uninteresting. Besides you, I haven't seen anyone worth talking to.
*Keeps leaning back, absently staring down at Cillian's tail*
*Leans on his other hand, and then reaches his free'd hand over to grab Cillian's tail lightly, and absently run his fingers through the fur*
Classes are very boring at the moment. I haven't even glimpsed Dad yet among everyone, and you'd think he'd be easy to see.
*Pauses, and then grins*
Do you think they've snogged yet? *Stops petting Cillian's tail, and pokes him in the side.

*Sighs, shaking his head to clear his thoughts and looking up at Phoenix, watching him pet his tail* I'm sure we'll both find people worth talking to soon enough... and I'm adjusting just fine. Like I said, things will start getting interesting soon. I know it.
*puts his bag off to the side, done pretending to have any interest in it* I think I mighta saw Dad once... but you know, he's most likely off a lot making trouble elsewhere. Who knows? Do you think it's even a good idea if he sees us anyways?
*Gathers up his own tail when you stopped petting it, hugging it to himself, thinking* They...? Like, Dad and Father...? I uhh... I don't know.

It's just fine if he sees us, I think it's fine even if we want to make friends with him. We just can't tell him anything, is all. As for you...... he'll just think he's not the only one on the planet who looks different from most people, is all. But if he's met Father by now, and I suspect he has, he won't make such a big deal out of it as he might have before hand.
...... they probably have. *Grins again, looking around briefly, then back at Cillian* I bet it was really cute too. Dad was probably all flustered.....
And anyways, if things don't pick up on their own, we can always make things interesting. *Looks off towards the forbidden forest*

What makes you think they have? *frowns a bit* Even if he met Father by now... it'll probably take him a long while to get any sort of affection going on... at least, I'd think. Unless, well... nevermind. I'd rather not think about it.
*Follows his brothers gaze, perking his ears up* ...interesting, how, Phee? I don't know if that's a good idea. Bad enough we're like... here at all. Young Dad creeps me out.

Father looks different from other people as well. If you remember, Dad told us a few times that he'd hardly ever met any new people until he got his letter to Hogwarts. After seeing so many different people, he'll probably be less suspicious that someone has ears like he does, and I've seen a few people around here with tails as well.
*Looks back over at Cillian, having been staring off into the forest all this time*
What makes me think I know? I know Father, is all. Even if Dad was completely clueless, Father is Father.... if Dad was frustrating him enough by well... being Dad, then he'd probably do something about it.
But they probably haven't gone any farther than a kiss or two. Who knows. But if you don't want to think about it, then alright. And I figured we'd make some mischief in the castle, maybe see if we could find the Chamber of Secrets and go exploring..... I know it's in a bathroom someplace.
*Studies Cillian for a few moments*

Yeah, I guess that's true, I've seen a few tails around myself. As long as my personality doesn't give me away. I know I'm a lot like Dad... but I'm probably just being paranoid as usual. I'm a lot different from him, too, so... well, I'll just try and stop worrying about it.
*Smiles a bit at Phoenix* You do know Father better than me... and you're almost always right about those sorts of things. You know Father almost as well as you know me... how'd you know I was out here, by the way?
*Glances out at the Lake, a steady breeze causing small waves to ripple over its surface* As long as we don't get caught breaking any rules, I'm up for anything you are, Phee. *Flops down onto his back in the grass, looking up at the sky*
I guess he doesn't so much creep me out... it's just weird seeing him younger, looking pretty much exactly like me... being bad at magic still and just... it's weird, not creepy, I guess.

I just happened to be looking outside, and I saw your ears off in the distance. And you don't have to worry, we won't get caught. And if on the slim chance we do, I'll get you out of it. *Pokes Cillian in the side again* You are like Dad, but then again, not like him. For example, if Dad got into trouble, he might be able to get off once or twice, but then people would catch on that he was causing trouble, and watch him. But you? You're so innocent looking no one will ever think you've done anything wrong. *Grins a little*
You're different from him in a lot of ways, Cillian. *Stares down at him, thinking about how easy it would be to just throw his leg over him and snog him into the grass* You have different tails, for one. You're not as outgoing as he is.......................
*Tilts back further, looking up at the sky as well*
I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to go to school with Father. I think one of the reasons we get along so well is because I am so much like him. He's never quite told me so, but if you put a younger him and myself side by side, I'm sure we'd look and act very similar....... *Looks back down at Cillian* That would be quite odd, wouldn't it? A younger father? Imagine if he was only eleven or twelve. How strange....
Anyways, on the slim chance that someone does find out, I'll just fix it and make it better. So you don't have to worry so much.

*Grins big, sticking his tongue out a bit* Oh yes, Cillian, Mr.Innocent. Not that I'm complaining... got me out of a lot of things when I was younger especially, and like, twenty times cuter, haha. Buy you're right... idefinitely have a liiiitle bit of Father in me.
*Closes his eyes, enjoying the feel of the grass and the cool breeze* Hm. Yeah, young Father... I imagine he'd act a lot different. or maybe not. It's hard to imagine him all.... short and not threatening. *Giggles a bit* And... full of teenage hormones...
And I never have to worry so much... but I tend to do so anyways. Even with you around.

Not threatening? *Raises an eyebrow at Cillian, amused* I think no matter what size he was, he was threatening. *Turns on his side, still grinning slightly, and reaches over to tug on some of Cillian's hair*
Teenage Hormones? He probably suppressed them. Which is why the both of them are always so..... the way they are now.
Hm... anyways.. I wish you wouldn't worry so much....
*Turns on his back, looking up at the sky, a small frown on his face now*
It makes me feel like I'm not... doing a good enough job as a brother. You shouldn't have to worry so much about anything at all.

Ugh, you're probably right. But it's so much more fun to imagine him alll cuuuute and stuff. he was at least shorter, I'm at least right about that! *opens one eye at the hair tug, glancing over at Phoenix and giving him a little glare*
I know I shouldn't worry. I don't worry all the time. Just messing with time and all that... ah, don't worry about me worrying, Phee. Then it will just become a huge cycle of worrying and... haha, I don't know! I'm just giving ya a hard time, bro.

I can't help worrying, Cillian. *Keeps looking up at the sky* I promised you the first time I saw you that I'd always protect you. Yeah, I was only a bit older than two at the time, but I remember thinking that. And how good of a job am I doing if you're having to constantly worry? How good of a job am I doing, if I got us here in the first place and I can't get us home? How good of a job am I doing if us just being here could cause us both to not be born? Or you? What if we go back, and you disappear, and I ask Dad and Father about you and they tell me 'Cillian who?' ......
*Is speaking in a very calm, even tone of voice, as if just talking about homework*
*Sits up, and uses his hands to help push him into a crouch, so he could stand*
When you worry, I worry. And when I worry, you worry. So stop worrying, Cillian. I'll always protect you, and look out for you. There's no reason for you to worry about anything.
*Stares down at Cillian sternly, and then turns on his heel and starts walking off towards the forest*
*Bites his tongue as he goes, glaring out at the approaching trees... he didn't know why he'd gotten so testy, but he was just so aggravated, and stressed about them being here and what could happen, even though he'd been hiding it well.......... other than that, he wasn't sure why he'd gotten so angry...... because not only was it impossible for someone to never worry, but it probably wouldn't help them out any in the real world, and furthermore, he knew that being a bit of a worrier was just part of who Cillian was, and he didn't want Cillian to ever change in the slightest*
