"Hanging from the roof was a dark lantern, with thin paper windows. There was a small burn hole in the corner of one, but it seemed to almost give it character. It was adorned with ivory beads and chains, carved and painted with unique designs, all held together with soft silk strings, bright red in colour. From the top rose tiny clouds of smoke, swirling up to dissipate into the air above it. The air around smelt slightly of fresh cut wood, and it was apparent it was an incense lantern..."
