PalpiSol rests on the Highest and most protected mountain in all of the continent.
It was in this great city that many of the elementals fled after all their cities fell during the first war. It was named by the ancients to signify how close they were to the heavens. PalpiSol meaning "Touching the sun" because from a distance the suns radiance looked as if it touched the tallest spire on the royal castle.
The Castle is in the dead center of the capital city. Almost half a mile high and can be seen from miles away, but not from the ground. Any are welcome to enter. But none but royalty and the council are allowed past the first story.
The marketplace is near the entrance to the grand city. Selling more wares and such things than you will find in any other city in the Air kingdom.
It's streets are decorated with the symbols of horses with wings and griffins. There are many pictures depicting the creation and battles of the capital and there are many historical sights to see.
Do not be fooled. This cities air is so thin that almost anyone else by an air elementalist would lose conciousness on their way to the gate. And it has held its own for years before.
Welcome to our city.

Illusion alighted on the steps of the great fortress and looked around eagerly. "No one is present, that is fine." It was too late for the residents to still be buying things, almost all of the vendors were closed. She stepped/flew to the inner gardens and rested. "No Luke here...probobly the only place I can clear my thoughts."
She whispered into a breeze and immediately an elderly looking man came down from one of the towers with a scroll in hand. "List?" "List." "As you wish majesty..." he sat next to her and waited for the train of thought. "Assassin, no friends or known family. Danger. Friend or foe? Lover or enemy?" "Easily bought?" "Yes. Add that one too." He added it with quick sweep of his hand. "Fire. Strong, growing, weak in land mass. Allied. May want water." She paused so he could catch up, but she needn't have worried, he wrote almost faster than she talked. "Water, has a relic. Strong. Envied by fire. Earth, almost nonexistant." She stopped and looked at the man. "Thank you grandfather." She bowed and they went their seperate ways. She to her real room. "Messenger. Summon Lucas."

A loud boom accompanied Luke's landing, shaking the stone pylons and decorative glass all around the archways. A few people cried out in surprise, but Luke ignored them, looking around for Mirage instead, who was late again. No big surprise, but he was expecting better by now.
He smiled faintly; it was oddly nostalgic being back. He started to walk, floating above the ground to make his speed double. "Okay, castle first, then the source of the message, then..." He thought a moment. "Then Illusion."
His smile gleamed brilliantly, if coldly, and his pace quickened to match the steady thump of his heart.

Moon looked around the enormous mountain city, close to the sun, or so it seemed, her amber eyes scanned the area, as if wary, it was not that she was afraid , no it was just that, being an assasin...well...you get used to the comfort of the shadows, the fact that no one can see you until you strike. Thinking about it made her want to crawl into an alley way an-.. "Stop it Moon! You're full grown, not some type of uncontrolable child!" She scolded herself in her head as she made her way to the castle.
Even though it still made her uneasy..
All of those eyes...
Watching her..
"STOP IT!" She screeched in her mind. She had spent most of the time away from her home, the Air Country. She took in a sweet sent of high mountain air. She snickered as she thought that no other people besides Air users could breathe this air and enjoy it. Hell, most of them would die after taking in a deep breath. She made her way silently trying to pace herself. Her arrival into the castle was silent and unnoticeable. When people saw her they would stare in suprise, as they did not hear anyone enter. "There are still to many people here... But... What if I went to the second level? I heard it was only for royals. But still.. I am a Madam after all. " Snickering, she twisted her body up the stair case blending herself in, she reached the second level easily. She looked around in awe. It was beautiful.

Illusion watched the guest enter the castle and let a smile play along her lips. 'note to self - having more people at home will provide a stronger front.' Then she went to search for the girl inside the castle. She whistled to the guards and they knew not to let any one more enter while she started her little game of hide-and-seek. She spoke to the breeze quietly and let it carry to Moon. "Hello m'lady. Would you care for a game?"
A hooded figure waited for Lucas at the castle gate and beckoned Luke closer. But instead of waiting for him the figure rushed at him, thrusting the scroll into his hand and then vanishing through him on the spot. Almost like a spell had been broken by the physical touch.
The scroll reads: Assassin, no friends or known family. Danger. Friend or foe? Lover or enemy? Easily bought.Fire. Strong, growing, weak in land mass. Allied. May want water Water, has a relic. Strong. Envied by fire. Earth, almost nonexistant Assignment: Bring Earth to power, build its empire. Fire must burn...

Lucas laughed and frowned, wondering at the paper. "Bring Earth to power? Sorry, lad, but this isn't the job of an assassin. What does she mean, easily bought?!"
He glowered at the page a moment, then shredded it, letting the wind carry the scraps away.
He started up the steps to the castle, wondering to himself. "This is the job for an ambassador. I can make fire fall, but we need someone who's best with diplomacy for that to work. What is she thinking?"
His boots stomped loudly and announced his presence in the great hall. His charged hair gave off a wafting odor of ozone, which the air streams whisked briskly away. He looked around for her perfunctorily and then decided her chambers might be a good place to start.

Illusion felt the hair standing up on the back of her neck. "Lucas?" She said as the smell left and her goosebumps left. 'What's he mad about?' She rushed towards the smell. "Lucas!" But her game was still on, she could run into the girl anywhere. It was a big castle afterall.

Luke was sitting cross-legged on her balcony, grinning sardonically at the sky and starting to think of ways he could bring down the Fire Kingdom. He laughed at most of them, since they involved lots of air adepts and a giant vortex, but if Water wanted them to fall badly enough... There were plenty of options.
He glanced toward the door curiously, thinking he heard his name.

she fallowed the smell of charred hair to her room and hesitantly opened the door. "You know, I could have you arrested for breaking into the royal quarters." She closed the door behind her. "Did you fallow me? What are you doing here?" Her voice was in hushed tones. not wanting the wind currents to carry the conversation around the castle.

Luke gathered and redirected the air so they could speak normally. "Liar. I can't be arrested. They can't catch me, and neither can you." He smiled at her coldly. "So what's the plan, Ms. Buyer?"
His fingers traced the shape of a rectangle- the note. "Is there any reason in particular you're trying to instigate a war? Fire's pretty powerful at the moment, you know." He smiled hungrily. "I wouldn't mind the fighting, but can we afford it...?"

"Buyer?" Her eyes narrowed. "Why would I need to buy you? You're a person, not an object I can throw a few coins at and say 'go kill so and so!'" She crossed the floor in seconds ot reach where he was sitting. "Instigate a war? No. Admittedly I've been trying to see if water would make a treaty and trying to get more farm land from Earth. We even practically have an alliance with fire. Why would I try and go to war with them?!"

Luke sighed and rolled his eyes. "You need to learn to write better notes, then. Come, tell me your plan. Try to be specific, won't you?"
He smiled evilly and gestured to the space beside him on the balcony. "Plenty of room."

"To write better notes? Lucas...I swear I didn't write you ANY note." She moved to sit next to him and let her wings dangle out of the window, only half of them flapped. "Admittedly I wanted to talk to you, to apologize about leaving so...randomly." A wave of pink heated her cheeks. "As for a plan, I was-" she sighed "-wondering if you would tell me the news you were going to before the coronation."

Luke smiled at her blushing cheeks, resisting the urge to reach out and touch them softly, to provoke more of a reaction. "Well..." he hummed quietly, bringing the news back to mind. "It's a bit late now, but one of my sources found out something very interesting."
He shot her a thin-lipped smile and licked the points of his canines before continuing. "Turns out our mate Colm... isn't exactly the purest sort. He might have more of a connection to the queen's disappearance than we thought."

She raised a brow and looked at the man. Of course he of all people would be able to find what others could not... Lus looked at him with her piercing eyes, a look that others thought of as if she was looking into their souls. "Tell me how you know these things." Yes, and distract me from the thought of meaning nothing to you...
