Ainra was out hunting for her sister again. She was beginning to feel like it was all she did now-a-days. But then again, Ainra was quite willing to help out, especially as the cubs were growing to be so healthy!
She had realised that being an aunt was hard work. She had to protect her sister from danger, keep an awareness about her all the time. And then she had to make sure to keep quiet when the cubs were napping, or smile and laugh when things seemed to be getting a little boring.
Her sister was everything to her, everything.
So it was that Ainra often found herself replaying the conversation they had had not too long ago.
The conversation about the children of Gods helping those in need.
Ainra had a gently, kindly soul and to her, helping others would be the best job in the whole wide world. She was doing her best to see her sister's dream come true by helping raise the children. And yet, still, Ainra found herself feeling a little useless.
There were so many needy creatures in the world and only a pawful of them.
It seemed an impossible task and yet Ainra was willing to try her best. So, despite her doubts, Ainra kept smiling and kept hunting.
She leapt at a hare and gave an irritated squeak as it slid out from her grasp and darted away.
"Focus Ainra!" She snapped, uncharacteristically annoyed. "Or Shisi will be hungry again!"

Kazi was bored which lets be honest was rather normal for the large lion. He had found himself laying on a rock which was incredibly boring. Why were these over sized rocks so boring and dull and grey! Ugh so horrible.
He hummed a soft tune that made the rock look far more interesting. It was now a rather bright pink rock with some very yellow spots on it. Though it didn't make the overly sized lion any less bored. He just couldn't help but be seriously bored. He wanted something interesting to happen. Where was Buni she was interesting? Oh where was that beautiful girl. He loved her, though he didn't know he loved her he just thought he liked her alot and that was because she fed his ego all the time.

She was moving after the hare again, hunkered down, head low and eyes focused. The creature had stopped and turned to check over it's shoulder, but luckily for Ainra her dull fur camoflagued her perfectly.
In another second the chase was on, Ainra's claws slashing at the hare's hindquarters.
But again she failed and the creature escaped for a second time. Ainra could have sworn she heard it laughing at her? Was it just playing games? With a huff she raised her head and turned, spying the God out of the corner of his eye.
She turned, did a double-take and then felt her jaw swing open. Her eyes bulged and for a moment she was speechless. Her tail rose halfway, then swayed indecisively.
"Oh my goodness!!" She suddenly blurted, and like a shot she was hurtling towards the God at top speed.

Kazi turned as he heard something coming and watched as a lioness ran after a hare. Oh it so was not working even that was boring but then she turned and faced him and was heading in his direction? What?
"What do you want?" He was in a grumpy mood as was clear. He wanted to be around Buni because she was interesting. Then again this female could interest him possibly, after all she was pretty and he had discovered that these pretty girls could be useful for something. Maybe he could have some fun after all.

He was black. Black like a lot of cubs at Shisi's side but he didn't have any other familiar markings. Either way he might know Shisi's mate and he might know what direction to point her in! Besides that, she was curious, terribly curious about him.
As she got nearer she realised how large he was. Huge in fact. Even Tiruan wasn't as big as this lion and she'd thought him a good size. As she slowed to a halt a few steps away she lifted her head back to stare at him in awe.
"Wow!" She bounced on the tips of her toes. "I can't believe it! You're a-a-a God!" Her eyes shimmered. "You're sooooo pretty!" She seemed oblivious to his grumpy demeanour, too star-struck to see that her personality could be a little overwhelming at times.
Was it just a coincidence that they had met? Or, was it fate?
"I know alllllll aboiut Gods." She smiled prettily. But she didn't really know about Gods, other than the fact that they made pretty cubs.

Kazi sat up shaking his golden paws before stretching his legs. His large grey body moving to show just how large he was and showing off his paint splodges. Oh he loved what he looked like, he was clearly the best looking animal in existence.
"Sure you do."
He jumped off his rock and walked around her a couple of times.
"What do you know then?" He watched her carefully deciding she was far too plain and so he changed her colour a little to make her more interesting. There she looked much better now.

She beamed, puffing out her chest with pride. "I know you can breed with mortals and make magical little cubs who can grow up to protect people." She nodded and glanced up at him with her vivid green eyes.
She hadn't noticed her pelt change yet.
"And I know you have mystical powers and can fly and all sorts of things." She waved her tail high. "My sister mater with a God." She added proudly. "And I'm hunting to help feed the cubs now, see? I know lots."
And then she raised a paw to point at him, noticing for the first time, her vividly painted pelt. "EEeeee!" She waved her foreleg as if trying to shake the colour loose. "My fur! It's...it's....pretty!" She glanced up at him with a whole new look of respect. "Did you do this?"

Kazi raised an eyebrow at her. She was kidding right? Maybe he was just taking what she was saying the wrong way. Hopefully anyway. Then again he could try and use this to his advantage.
"Uh huh." Was his answer to everything she was saying. He then put his paw on her back before removing it again. She really was rather small however she wasn't that small.
"Maybe it was. You look gorgeous now though, bit plain before." He smiled somewhat wondering what it was that she wanted from him.

She practically beamed from the inside out, drawing herself up taller and taller. To think, she was having a conversation with a God. Not only that, but she was being complimented by one! Oh wait until she told Shisi!
"Gorgeous? No one ever called me that before." She purred, dipping her head shyly. "Do you really think so? Could I keep the colour? Or...will it fade away?"
She glanced down at her paws again, paws that were now rich red, tipped with gold. "You have lovely colours too, all bright and different. I don't think I've ever seen a lion like you before." She giggled.

Kazi rolled his eyes while she wasn't looking. She was just too easy.
"Oh I don't know why not." He was bored there was no doubt about that. She was less interesting then he had originally hoped.
"The colour will wear off, don't worry about that." He smiled, she wanted it to stay? Well that was an ego boost that was for sure.
"Well if you wanted the colours to stay, what would you give me for it?" He was curious now.

Her whiskers drooped and she shuffled closer to him, reaching out to brush a paw against him. She was drawn to him, drawn to his size, to his power. She wanted to tell her sister everything about this meeting.
Who knows, maybe she could recruit him into helping people just like Shisi's mate was, by having children with a mortal. All she'd need to do was find a nice mortal lady for him! But sadly...Ainra didn't have many friends. All she had was her sister and Tiruan, who were obviously not suitable candidates.
"I'd love to stay bright and cheerful like this. It suits my personality, right?" She giggled, swooning at his paws adoringly. "What could I give you?" She looked dissapointed. "Oh, well...I don't have anything..." She sighed and then perked up a little. "Well, once when I met Tiruan he was all grumpy and then we played tag and he cheered up! How about we play a game too? You could even name the game!"

A game. Interesting.
He lowered his head and whispered into ear a game that they could play. It wasn't really a game but hey she seemed obsessed with Gods, said something about pretty cubs and he was ever so bored and wanted something different to keep his interest. Either way he wouldn't change her colour forever, it would still fade but he would be giving her a present instead. Surely that would be better?

She leaned forwards as he moved to whisper in her ear, eyes widening at his suggestion. Was that even a game? Well she supposed, in a way, it could be percieved as a game but...
Her first instinct was to shy away. She couldn't do that, not yet, she wasn't ready. Besides she had enough to do taking care of her neice and nephews without getting herself into that predicament.
She wasn't the wisest of creatures, but she knew enough about the birds and the bees to know that when males and females got together, cubs did have a tendancy of popping up at some point.
But what was it she had been thinking of earlier? Recruiting him into providing cubs to help the lions of the world? If she did this then she really would be helping her sister. She wouldn't just be a huntress, she'd be the mother of helping, seer cubs.
She drew towards him, hesitantly. "Are you...being serious?" She whispered, quivering slightly. "I spend a night with you and...I get to keep my pretty fur?" She drew closer still, so close that the gap between them had almost disapeared.
She couldn't believe it! She was actually considering it! Despite everything Tiruan had told her about how couples should be. Buther alliances always lay with her sister and if she could help the dream come true...what harm was there in thinking of other options?

Kazi smiled, "You can keep it for longer yes." There he wasn't lieing. He could help her keep it for longer and infact forever if she so wished but her cubs would be her colour not the fake colour, after all hers was just an illusion.
He hummed a soft tune that she wouldn't have been able to hear to allow it to stay longer, a few months at the most. It couldn't stay forever.
"If however it does go, you can always come and find me. I am sure I could put it back." For something... Always for something.

She fluttered, drew closer, rubbed her head up under his chin, purring madly. Just one night and she'd get to keep her pretty fur for a long time and...there was always the possibility of cubs.
But cubs or no cubs from this meeting, she'd still have pretty fur and she'd be able to tell her sister that she'd met another God who might be willing to help them.
"Okay. I'll come and find you. I will." She blinked up at him innocently, trusting him entirely. "Yes, I'll spend a night with you." She gave him a lick on the nose and then tugged at him gently. "Come on, follow me, I know a place...we can go."
And quickly, like a naughty teenager, the girl headed towards one of the dens she had found when she'd been out scouting.
