Name Meaning: Jackson Square, also known as Place d'Armes, is a historic park in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana.

From the 1920s through the 1980s the square was famous as a gathering place of painters of widely varying talents, including proficient professionals, talented young art students, amateurs, and caricaturists. However, in the early 1990s tarot card readers began to tell fortunes on Saint Peter and Saint Anne Streets. Chartres Street passing in front of Saint Louis Cathedral, the Presbetyre and the Cabildo with its accompanying benches has become the domain of musicians and varied street performers such as jugglers and magicians.

Background

History: Refuses to talk about it much. Was seperated from her parents when she was a fledgling while they were trying to get away from what she refers to as a "hurry-came". She knows she was named after a park she used to live by, but doesn't remember much from when she was a chick. Jackson Square is originally from the city of New Orleans. Her family lived in the area known as the French Quarter, and her voice carries faint hints of this background. They're usually unoticable though, other than slight accent that sneaks in at times.

Jackson was injured not long after arriving in the area, and was taken in by Happy Hour's flock. She feels that she owes her life to the flock head and would do nearly anything for her at the drop of a feather. After she healed up, she wasn't able to remember a good few things due to the shock she had suffered. She quickly took to the role of inventor ans scavenger, setting her nest up as high as she could in the attic.


Personality: Jacksi is slightly manic at times which can lead to odd and somewhat startling fits of laughter and hyperness. She often says she has so many ideas that it makes her head hurt. She doesn't seem to care who she helps, as long as she can try to be nice to them. She loves learning, no matter what it is she happens to learn, she thrives on it. Sometimes however, she gets a bit mopey, which can lead to some confusion for those meeting her for the first time. Recently, it's begun to seem as though there's more going on in her noggin than she lets on. And maybe not all of it is as bright and cheery as she would prefer.


Skills: Is one of the best at finding supplies for herself and the other inventors, and coming up with ideas for what others need. Tends to be unable to make the ideas in her head work out properly at times.

Acquaintances:
On The Rocks: Considers the young witch a friend, or as close to a friend as she's had. Watched her grow from a chick, and rather liked her in general, until something happened.
Waffle House: Like him, finds him interesting, and doesn't mind having to sometimes puzzle out what's being said. He's a good distraction.
