The first movie.
Haven't seen any HP movies for years. Figured I'd watch the old ones before I watch the newer ones.

in april, abc showed each of the first four every saturday night, and i watched them then.
i watch them but i don't think they're great movies. i feel like they were too excited about cashing in on all the hype to really take the time and care needed to make good films. i mean, looking at the lord of the rings films, you know that every single person who worked on those films knew how important those books are to people. had the harry potter filmmakers actually waited until all 7 books were published before they started the movies, i think they would have been far superior in quality.
sorry, i get so upset thinking about it because i'm such a huge fan of the books and movies in general. the potter movies aren't awful, they just had so much more potential.

Yeah, when I was watching the first one I felt like I was watching all the deleted scenes at once, the way it kinda jumped from one scene to the next, not really explaining stuff.
