User ImageThe reaper's maw opened wide, emitting a large yawn as he did so. Today was so... so dull, even for his standards. For someone who generally sought after peace and quiet, for once Azrael was looking for something, anything to occupy his time. Furrowing his brow, he strode from one end of the room to the other, past the couch and arm chair that were usually full with chattering winiko. They were empty now, and it brought a dull depression upon the reaper.

At the same time, the realization made him glad- perhaps he was finally adjusting to life in this body. He thought wistfully of Lolita for a moment as his eyes gazed out the window, before his wings folded to his back and he began pacing once more. Even the usual crowd of noisy children was absent from the room at this point- most likely gone home to their human bond for the night. The sun's rays turned to slivers of light as they sank behind the mountains, the only light in the room coming from a lamp perched on a table beside the arm chair.

Night time here wasn't quite Azrael's idea of a "good time".

The sound of ruffling feathers invaded the silent room, as white light of the full moon shone through the windows, a single white feather dance under one of the moonlight beams. The feather touched floor for a moment only to be swept up again into the light by a gentle wind, making it shine under the light as if made of the moonlight itself.

The gentle wind was filled with the sounds of ruffling feathers and hair, gentle clangs of chains and suiting sounds of glass and metal beads. The large elder bow his head, his white body glowing under the moonlight that came from the large window up in the rafters where he perched himself. The window put there for flying winikos that wished to enter the room. The long feline tail moved from one side to the other with elegance as he moved gracefully around the rafters, soon leaping down and landing gently on the ground. The large wings folded against his back and his blue eyes looked at the reaper from behind the white mask he wore.

He said nothing.

Upon hearing the soft rustling of feathers, Azrael's gaze moved from the empty room to the windowsill, where another large male had just landed. He was highly amused at the sharp contrast between himself and other other elder, though his bone-covered face showed nothing to reveal that thought. His own tail curled about his side as he turned his entire body, tilting his head in a silent greeting to the other. He eyed him, unmoving, waiting for him to settle into the dead quiet atmosphere of the room.

Loosening his wings from his back, the reaper ruffled his name with a heavy shake, loose ends falling neatly into place. As he shifted, his head came into full cover of the moonlight, crimson-tipped tresses gleaming from its soft caress.

"Good evening." he commented, voice deep and smooth. He said nothing else, but offered one more nod to the other elder instead.

His white ears moved slowly once the other elder spoke. "....Good evening to you as well...." his voice spoke gently, slowly and smoothly.

Sitting down, his wings relaxed at each side, giving the sight of a spread feathery cape, the single black feather on each one stood up in the glowing of their white brethren. He leaned to the left, his right leg leaning out as well, showing the black shackle.

".....its...strange to see...another at this time of night..........."

Azrael was indeed pleased that the other male had replied to him- in all honesty, he had expected to be ignored, or to have him scatter as he realized what he was. At least, that was generally how most others reacted to him. He watched as the other seated himself, and soon followed suit, shifting forward enough so that his entire body was bathed in moonlight.

"Indeed," he replied after a moment, "I was expecting that this place would remain empty until morning, but it seems that you have proved me wrong." A faint smile crossed his face, bony wings relaxing against the smooth, ripped fabric covering a large portion of his body. "I am Azrael," he added after a momentary pause, "You yourself look wizened as well- to whom do I owe the pleasure of meeting?" He hoped that he wasn't being too forward to the other elder- after all, they may appear different on the outside, but it was likely they had been around for about the same time. Crimson eyes caught sight of the shackle upon the other's leg, but he made no mention of it- he knew all too well that some would rather you not pry into their business, whether it was a personal matter or not.

His right front paw's claws fiddle with the dream catcher that hung from his neck, the glass and metal beads in it made a musical soothing sounds as they gently hit each other.

"....I cannot help it....its unlikely to meet any one at this time.......let alone..an elder....." His blue eyes watched Azrael calmly. He was listening with most of his attention. ".....I be named Abaddon....Its a please to make your acquaintance, Azrael....."

The sound those beads made... it was soothing, even to the restless reaper. He watched for a moment, stirred from his thoughts as the other answered his inquiry.

"Abaddon... yes, a pleasure." Azrael replied, tipping his head, "There are so few elders roaming about that I as well was surprised." He felt his muscles relax as he sat, sensing now that the other was a friendly soul, and would likely not do him any harm. He was intrigued by the scars running across the other's body, by the miscellaneous trinkets that he wore, by the feathered wings that gave him the gift of flight. His own wings shifted against his back, bony and unable to lift him from the ground. He presumed, however, that Abaddon also was bemused with the things covering the reaper's body- the skull mounted upon his cranium alone wasn't something you saw every day, after all.

"....Quiet....but...I think not having a lot of elders is a good thing....." His strange eyes stare towards a window, even thought he was white, and his mask was white as well, it was quiet easily to tell where his face began and where the mask ended.

"....If it was so...I think we would spend our time in circle.....arguing the finer points...of nothing and the past......." A gentle smile came to the white male's face. "....we would bored the children.....to death....."

Azrael laughed softly in agreement. "Indeed," A smile curled upon his face. "The younger generation cares not for the trifles and hardships endured by the old. It is not in their nature, after all." His dark fur shimmered as he spoke, clean and sleek looking in the moonlight.

"Though I am sure that sooner or later we would come to a conclusion, and head off back to our normal ways." His tail flicked at a bit of dust as it drifted towards him, curling back around his feet.
