She looked so harmless but then again don't most cubs? She laid on a rock away from where the other cubs were playing. She was something of a loner and only hung around them to have ago at them every now and then. That and her dream of power meant that she wanted to stick around. If there was a pride to develop she would fight to be in charge and of course she would without doubt win.
She stretched out a little on her rock allowing the sun to bathe her honey coloured coat. Her cursed coat, though she still didn't know why. She would one day though, she would confront her mother when she was strong enough. No one tried killing this cub without reprecussions.
She rolled over onto her back before flopping onto her other side, her blue eyes looking out over the land infront of her. Oh how boring it was sometimes. No one to bully and nothing to torture. No mice no nothing. Boring. She let out a small yawn and closed her eyes. She would just have to dream it instead.

There was at least one cub who did not appear so innocent. He was an angry, cruel creature, dangerous despite apparent youth, green eyes burning with hellish fury, a snarl seeming a permanent feature on his maw. He was a massive beast, a powerful form carried by broad steps, large paws raking at the earth beneath him. He was a true giant among lions, an ancient beast burning within the form of a cub, a demon.
White pelt shone under the heat of the sun, tattered wings rustling like ebony flames, a piercing growl erupting from his maw with each surge of pain that surged through the broken limbs. Anger, fury, it burned hot with each moment, with every step he took, cutting whatever patience he'd had in his past life, whatever tolerance may have remained. His temper had grown short, his mood foul, talons quick to lash at whatever dared cross his path.
Today was no different, always angry, green eyes narrowed, talons flexed, his tail flicking with a snap behind him. What unfortunate creature would fall to his torment, what mind shattered by the terror of conflict.

It would be one of those days it seemed.
Her ears flicked back as she heard someone coming and slowly her head turned, her eyes opening to see who dared disrupt her. Normally she would have stopped and stared somewhat at the very large and strange looking cub heading her way but she was more annoyed that he had disrupted the peace that had surrounded her then anything else.
"Mind keeping the noise down. Some people are dreaming lovely things here." Her voice was harsh and her 'sweet' blue eyes narrowed as she looked at him. He was an ugly thing. She knew a lot of cubs were ugly but he got the award for it, no doubt about it.

His own eyes narrowed, an intense glare falling on the golden cub, as if he could look through her with the fire of hell itself. A brief rustle of dark energy, his tail lashed in irritation. Yet another child, wonderful, just what he was in the mood for. He snorted, perhaps much louder than he normally would have, it seemed the entire world had suddenly become populated by children.
"Why don't you say such things where my talons can reach you."
He spoke with a snarl, a challenge, a threat. Another creature who thought to issue demands, another who would fall prey to the consequences just as the immortal child had. Dreaming was she, he'd show her the true nature of nitemares.
"Or do you only know how to speak when you think there is no danger?"
A smirk replaced the snarl, his words turning cold, taunting, infuriatingly calm, a trick he had learned from his brother, or perhaps it was his brother who had learned it from him.

Chukiwa just stared and then laughed oh how amusing.
"Come on then, come closer and I will say it again or are you just talk?" She spoke with the challenge in her voice as well. She was far from afraid, after all she was the bully and however ugly he was just another cub.
She sat up on her rock and yawned as she looked at him, he was boring. Then again weren't all cubs? He sounded tough though to look at it was enough to make one sick. Maybe thats why he spoke so tough because everyone turned to throw up on seeing him. She chuckled again as the thought went through her head.
"Scardey cat." She smirked as she stood up, tensing her body. He had challenged her, she challenged him. He would be a wimp to not make a move now!

Laughter, dark, demonic, mocking laughter. Though she may have thought to project one, the god felt no threat from the cub, she was but a mortal, a child, he was neither. Many much larger, much stronger than her had tried, only to fall to the talons of the beast, a deadly lesson she would soon discover.
"It is the foolish creature who challenges an unknown opponent, but as you wish."
The smirk spread across his maw, terrifying, evil, fangs borne in a malevolent grin, dark talons flexing as if in an infernal hunger to tear through hide. His strides were calm, confident, strength in his every step, his posture alert, coiled as to strike at any moment, yet relaxed, every movement, ever glance, mocking the foolish child.
His tail lashed with each step, tongue linking at one fang in anticipation, a devil savoring the moment before the strike. Marvelous, the evil glee that surged through him, the games he had once relished, perhaps this would be an interesting encounter after all.

She cared little for what he said, after all she did not fear him and she refused to loose a fight. If she ever lost they would pay for it later. No one made a fool of Chukiwa.
She smirked and got down from her rock, her body still tense, her eyes watching his every move. Her tail flicked behind her. Of course she wasn't a talented fighter but she hadn't lost a fight yet to a cub. Then again most cubs were rather foolish when it came to fighting and had no reason to fight. This girl did. She was in training.
This fight would just add to her training whether she won or lost she would learn from it and so it would help her for the day she was longing for. Revenge.
For now she watched and waited. He was going to make the first move.

Pausing but a paw's reach away, his massive size was greatly apparent. His height was towering, shoulders broad and powerful, paws massive and deadly. He dwarfed other lions, closer in size to the great cats of the north of Asian than any of those within Africa. Though he was not the largest of immortals, he was no less deadly, an ancient warrior of war and bloodshed.
Foolish creature, I will show you the meaning of fear.
It happened in an instant, without warning, there was no growl or snarl to herald the lash of his strike. His expression had changed in but a moment, the smirk vanishing from his maw, narrowed eyes burning with that infernal flame, fangs bared in parted jaws, falling in a vicious bite. Paws lashed out, talons slashing at young hide, avoiding the neck to tear at shoulders instead, to disable, to torture, but not to kill.
She was confident, he would give her that, or rather foolish. But the god of conflict did not tolerate demands or fools, it was a trait he would teach her to regret. Though perhaps there was something, something to mold, something he might have once seen in his own daughter had he not forgotten that life; the darkness, it was enticing.

Something happened and it was quicker then she had expected and so though she moved he still caught her back knocking her down. How annoying, he was going to be more of a challenge then she had originally thought though of course she did not care too much. She would just have to be more careful though she could feel the blood running down her back from where he had caught her.
He hadn't managed to pin her down however and that was good enough for her. It meant though her back hurt she still had a chance and so, maybe stupidly she circled him watching him carefully before running at his back. Those stupid things sticking out his back would be good enough to get hold of. Stupid ugly cub with ugly stupid things coming out his back. They would be good leverage and so she pounced.

Calm as flowing water, the god watched the child, eyes following every step, reading each ripple of muscle, ears twitching at each breath, every rustle of grass, every hesitation. As she charged he turned, reeling in one swift movement, facing her with fangs and talons once again.
He was unconcerned, unimpressed, there was no threat, only a lesson to be taught to a foolish cub, blind ambition to be crushed, perhaps to be rebuilt again. No need for hatred, no rage, only the calculating calm of the ancient warrior, the infernal pleasure of the demon.
And in the flash of a moment, everything changed. Paw touched wing, talon to feather, a fierce roar erupting from his chest as fire, burning electric fire shot through his wings, a surge of blinding pain consuming his body. In that instant, his mood changed, fire, darkness, burning rage. Infernal fury, dark energy surrounded him, carrying with it all the terror and horror of the depths of the abyss.
Forgetting the code that had always spared cubs, Tanaka struck to kill, jaws snapping in blind fury, reaching to catch her neck, to rend the very life from her body, talons slashing, tearing, seeking to rend the child to shreds.

She struck a nerve and a smile hit her face in an instant, a flicker of hope that she would win but then she saw him change and fear gripped her for the first time. He wasn't a normal cub, far from it. No cub would look like that.
She didn't snarl or anything she just stepped backwards but then he lunged and though she moved and he didn't get her neck he had managed to pin her down and though her legs were underneath him scratching at his stomach as much as she possibly could she wondered if her life would be over.
She wouldn't go without a fight though, she wanted revenge and that kept her going. She dug in her hind claws into his flesh as hard as she possibly could he wasn't killing her and leaving without a mark on him. She never gave up.

He stood over here for what may have seemed an eternity, pressing her into the earth beneath his massive weight, talons curling to tear into hide, spilling sweet blood to stain the land. There was murderous intent in his eyes, dark fury, burning rage, in that moment it could not be doubted that he was truly a monster.
He did not care what she was, was unmoved by her struggles, and though her talons pierced his hide, his own blood staining his white pelt, he did not care, did not even seem to notice, all else lost in the blindness of his rage.
"Take your last breath."
The voice that fell from his jaws was unearthly, demonic, terrifying, a mutter of growls no mortal had ever heard, a voice hell forbid ever be heard again. It was consuming, dark as the energy that surrounded him, holding a piercing fear to paralyze even the bravest, the most noble of creatures.
His paw raised, talons bared, brandish for the final strike, to tear the very life from the cub, to rip out her throat and leave her blood to water the earth, lifeless carcass to feed the vultures. It would be but a brief instant, the end of the child's life, the silence of it's voice, an end that did not come.
The paw froze, the strike spared. This was a child, despite his anger, despite the rage and fury that burned inside him, he could not strike it down, he could not kill a child, it was a line even he could not cross. His paw settled to the earth once more, the fury still burning in his eyes, the snarl on his maw, a low growl of warning.
"Get out of my sight, before I tear you to shreds."
He spoke with a growl, it was neither suggestion or idle threat, she would not be so fortunate again.

She wriggled and wriggledd as she felt his weight on her but then he let go. She laid where she was and took a few breaths before standing up, in no rush to leave. She wasn't about to leave when she had all these questions in side her.
She stood up and faced him, breathing heavily.
"What are you? No normal cub can beat me." Her voice was harsh though not as demanding as she wished it to be. She wasn't about to leave him alone.
"You are the ugliest thing I have ever seen yet your the strongest. It makes no sense." She was mumbling this time and mostly to herself. He might have nearly killed her but she had too much pride to just leave.

He had already turned away, sparing her nothing but a piercing glare and a snap of his tail. No intention of answers questions, no desire to remain in her company a moment longer, he wished for nothing but to forget the nuisance, to leave her behind without a second thought. A moment longer and he surely would have destroyed her, though something told him he would regret not doing so.
An unimpressed snort, eyes narrowed, fire licking in his gaze once again, his voice cold as he spoke without turning.
"Your words might mean something, had you not nearly had your neck snapped like a twig."
He sneered in disgust, foolish annoying creature. Such overconfidence would only lead to her own death, whether she faced mortal or immortal. She was only lucky that death had not come today, at his paws, for he would have torn her to shreds, sodden the earth with her blood, and left nothing but scraps for the scavengers.

"If that's what you wish to believe." She yawned watching him. Her tail flicking behind her.
"You can't kill me anyway. I won't die for a while yet." She smirked and jumped back up on her rock. She was sure there were Gods up there keeping her alive so that she could get revenge. She knew it was the way it had to be.
"You however. My what a pitiful thing you are." She smirked some more. He was rather pitiful, strong maybe but flipping ugly and clearly didn't know how to what one wanted. She was on the other hand manipulative and being a cub meant it was easier though she was sure she would grow more manipulative as she grew older.
