I'm in the awkward situation where I like her well enough, but I can't stand living with her, especially because she's decided that she needs to act like she's my mother, regardless of how many times I point out the fact that she isn't, in fact, my mother, and that I'm in college, not elementary school. And by acting like she's my mother, I mean offering commentary and criticism on every little thing I do...so I guess maybe she's more like a mother-in-law than anythng. And it's not like I'm coming home drunk or high or things like that, it's more commentary on things like how I stay up past 11 (which she rarely does) and that I like to sleep in late (...I've started to sleep in ridiculously late on days I don't have classes just so I don't have to put up with her), and that I watch the cable TV we pay $50 a month for. stare
She has even taken to commenting on what I eat. Among other things that are entirely not her business.
Of course, it also doesn't help the situation that she's super-religious, homophobic, and has a tendency to follow me and my friends around instead of making her own friends.
With my school, you can request a room/roommate any year but your freshman year, and we did the roommate agreement for next year already, before it got to the point where I want to punch her more often than not.
And now it's too late for me to get a single/different room. xp
