Don't know where I lost it. Maybe it's because this year's been really frantic.

I feel some xmas spirit, I s'pose. I'm glad I had money this year to get people presents that they're really gonna love, since I was super broke last year.

I think I managed to get a bit back by watching the 1951 film Scrooge and other traditional holiday stock. Maybe it's just because I haven't watched them in years.
I think I lost the holiday spirit right before high school started. Family gatherings became really annoying around that time too, so they both died together.

I think my mind strives for this season all year. For some reason this is the time of year that makes me feel a little at ease. Everyone seems to become a lot happier throughout the Christmas (( or other politically correct celebration >.> )) and I guess thats what gets to me the most. Once the christmas songs kick in on the radio and the snow begins to fall its truly Christmas to me. So... Sorry Madonna but Im no 'Material Girl' for its the feeling you get during this wonderful time of year that tears me away from my troubles... And hell I need that now more than ever.
Ps. Its lovely to be back... My feuds with the home life have seemed to reside slightly and not only am I single again (( Woot )) Im much happier with myself again... And thats such a great feeling n.n

X-mas time is always stressful for me and my family -- tensions are all really high. But I love getting and giving presents. I'm a real "stuff" person. I bought so much at the Hello Kitty Store today (to the horror of my friends) -- gifts for sibs and other relatives. I love small, cute things. xd

I'm so sick of the holidays. I'm not much of a stuff person so it certainly doesn't help matters. I suppose I will just be glad when their over.

When you're older and there's no Santa Clause and you find out that Christmas is really just another day. The only thing that makes it different are the expectations placed on it. Working in retail helped reality slip into the holidays. sad
On that note, it is still Christmas, so have a good one. It's almost over and if you just worry about all the tension and stress, it's going to suck. Think happy candy cane thoughts.

Where is the tension and stress of the holidays? I don't get its source. Maybe I'm immune to holiday stress and that's why I love the holiday season so much.

This was the first time I had a job during the holidays and it was in reatail(and Best Buy, of all retail) and that really helped piss me off at all the people that get so pissy around this time.
And I actually shopped for friends and family this year because I had money.

Eheh, Update... ^^;
I found mine again! I wasn't expecting it to come back, but all it took was to have dinner with some family at my sisters. It was so much fun. I don't think I would of wanted to spend Christmas eve any other way.
Then again, As i'm typing this right now, It's Christmas Morning.
So, Happy Holidays everyone! xd
