Obviously, the front page is a bit cluttered.

Should we be working towards getting subforums?

Post your opinions and suggestions on what kind of subforums to get.

From my past knowledge of guilds, subforums cost about 2500 gold each. it would require some help from us.

Literacy encouraged so we can understand you. mrgreen

Our choices so far:

Main - Updated Stickies, Announcements, General Chat/Dragon Garden Cafe

Sub: Roleplay
Sub: Clicking and Egg Spam
Sub: Games (dragon related?)
Sub: Help "Member/Guest Services"
Sub: Crew Only achieved!
Sub: Other Clickables
Sub: Offtopic Stuff

Total Cost: 15000 gold. excluding achieved subforums

EDIT: Loku: I decided to add the crew only one, because I know for sure that is one we need. If it causes us to be short on funds I'll donate to the guild.

YES! Subforums would be nice, and I'm glad to donate to get some.

They don't have to be overly specific, but very broad.

Maybe one for polls, one for announcements, and another for RPs (if we so choose)
Or just combine the polls and announcements

What about a dragon spam subforum...?
Like, each member has their own thread for their dragons, where they can put information about them, histories, etc.
Kinda like the Dragon Biographies?
-shrugs- just a fun little idea. I personally love creating bios for my dragons whee

And it's probably a bad idea, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

I would very much like subforums, I even donated a while back in hopes of it happening. I'd be willing to donate more if we did get subforums.

IMO the main forum should just be stickies and announcements. I'll take this time to mention that there are at least a few stickies/announcements that are old enough to be removed (from their sticky/announcement status), which would leave just the current topics at the top.

I think for subforums, we could use one for each of these: suggestions/petitions/requests, help (or not, I don't know how many people need help here, I haven't paid that much attention), egg/hatchling clicking spam, RP (if enough people want it), and general chat/everything else.

i think those would be good as the basics and if there are any other suggestions like the others ayll put would be a good idea and of course the stickies and announcments should go on the front page. i was actually glad when subforums were suggested since the forum is getting very crowded with topics with the more members we have.

oh and phazondragon, i checked out that site and it looks very interesting. i think i might join since ill have enough time to be on now with the semester being over and all.

I think subforums are a great idea. There are tons of threads in the forum, and they are all over the place with topics and relevance to the present.

Speaking of which, we can remove some of the announcements, like the one about the fog covering the site. It's not important anymore, because it's over.

As far as "What forums to add" are concerned, I'll leave that up to you. My main purpose of being here is to post eggs and help those who posted theirs. smile
